Fun and quick! Love the background changing

What is the word record for this game? It is very fun. This is my high score. #3 was a bad word so censored it

I could sit here all day and keep playing this, but I'm tapping out with a high score of 135. Really nice idea, complimented by thoughtfully designed UI. I love the subtle touches, like the background getting lighter on the results screen as your words disappear. Great job!

It is a great but very stressful game :D I got 118 points, it seems crazy that one could get up to 20 words!

Very hard! But also very fun. And I'm glad to report that certain words weren't removed from the word pool ;)

It’s a fun game, and I liked the feel of it. I could imagine a competitive, multi-player version!

A bit hard if you are not native in english, but i did enjoy it!
I like your style!

I love how frantic this feels! Quiz type games are always tons of fun for me, and this executes on that type of game perfectly

This game is super fun! Being a non native english speaker is a little hard, but I got 200 points, pretty satisfied :D very original, and well done!

I'm very into word games right now, so this hits the spot. Nice clean interface and colors!

I am so bad at quizzes like these, but it worked well at least for  the 2 words I could get in 20 seconds.

This is quite a clever little word game.  I'm not especially great at it, but I love the challenge of trying to think of words as fast as possible.  I do wish I could start a round by hitting enter or something so that I don't have to move my hand from the mouse to the keyboard as fast as possible at the start of a round, but that's a pretty small complaint.  Overall quite good!

Fun and frantic, good sound and presentation. At the time up screen I needed to press Enter to proceed to the score screen, which took me a moment to work out because I'd been able to use mouse clicks up until then. Minor issue though, otherwise this is great!

Idea, sound effects, and implementation are all solid.   Nice work!

A nitpick: I think the 'contains' tests shouldn't allow you to type in the contains prompt if it's already a word (e.g. Contains "HAT":  I'll just type HAT instead of CHAT or HATTER)

My high score was 157.

I found myself typing ANY and WORD in for the ANY WORD prompts. :D

I like the simple colour scheme and layout - I think the simplicity of the layout allows the player's mind to wander a little in order to think of the words given by the question.

I like the variety of questions, and the prevention of a previously used answer. It would often force me to think of something else that fits the criteria. After playing a couple of times, I tended to default to the same few answers. I think more themed questions would add more variation to types of answers given, though this may be hard to program in as it may become extremely subjective.

A simple, yet frantic typing game that tests your English vocabulary.

Have to join in, this is a really fun and well thought out game! Wordle prepeared me for 5 letters so I was stumped at 6-7. I like the strategy of finding go-to words for prompts, make you always want to go faster and faster!

Record: 115 points

Would love to come back to this later (and also play a PICO-8 remake!!)

Nicely done! Doctors could prescribe playing this  game every day to keep our brains agile and active. I like how the 20 second limit means that it's a test of your reaction time as much as a test of your vocabulary. Since the same prompts come back often, it's not too hard to find go-to answers. And that makes me wonder what this game would be like if you continued to expand it after the jam with a longer timer and additional types of prompts. Maybe some tricksy questions that force you to think more before answering like common phrases with a word missing, basic arithmetic questions where you have to type the numeric answer as a word, any valid anagram of a set of letters.
