Has a strong 'dreamland' aesthetic to it. I think you had a vision of what you were trying to do since the beginning and then accomplished it.
It's always clear to me when an entry had lots of planning beforehand versus when a creator was just winging another platformer game, hoping the idea will come to them. This was one of the former entries.
Thanks for putting your soul into this one. It elevates the whole jam. Well done.

Art style is awesome! I also enjoyed the dialogues and the music.
Good work.
Fantastic music and art!!! Especially the music. Did you guys write a song for this jam?! That's amazing
Wow! this game was a breath of fresh air, I see the same motivation in making games I have throught the experience: Making Art. The atmosphere, art, sounds, dialogues and gameplay loop all match in a well made craft. I know for sure you watched movies from David Lynch or Carpenter (if you dont I highly encourage you to do that) because it reminds me a lot of them.. high long highways, deeply meaningful dialogues while cruising some long roads and a glim of mistery/surrealism through the story build up. Such an inspiring project, thanks for that.
The game has amazing art, the only problem I felt the game had was that some passangers still talked after I drop them off and picked a new one, so the conversations mixed up and it was hard to follow the narrative, but if the only "bad" thing is a bug it means that the game is a work of art
Thanks for playing!
There is a small dialogue sequence after you drop off a passenger, so you need to end it before starting a new one. I didn't have time to implement a mechanic that prevents starting a new dialogue before previous is ended, but I'll definetely write this down in our todo-list. Thank you!
Great aesthetic and story!
The overall vibe of the game is great. Picking up strangers and hearing their stories. The mystery was engaging and the dialog felt natural.
My only critiques are gameplay and UI related. The radio was very cool, but it was a little small. It was also a bit tough in the bottom right corner when the car would be on the top part of the screen. It led to a bit of a challenge to read and then look up at the car to make sure you’re not missing the drop-off. As for the drop-offs, they were a lot shorter than the dialogs. I’d usually be parked at the location for a few minutes to finish up the dialog.
In any case, really interesting story and atmosphere. Great work!
VERY pretty game with great music, I like the radio system a lot and just wish that the text was a bit easier to read and going off road didn't slow you down quite so much as I kept getting stuck on corners. Aside from that it's really solid and you did a good job!
Alright if no one else is going to write an essay about this game then I will.
I didn't know what to expect when I got into it, was def in a mindset of small fun challenging games and this was certainly not that. It's a work of art, seriously! Had a long time since I had this sort of an emotional response to something. You made something special!
I was a bit confused what was I supposed to do before I put the pieces together, and that's when the game truly shined! Engaging in small and extremely big talk while mindlessly driving on an infinite road, knowing I'll get there sooner or later, connecting with these truly weirdly compelling strangers, while the flipping the radio, the whole thing seriously transports you into the role of pinky. The stories are so real and yet absolutely ephemeral, and the way pinky's girlfriend kept being involved inexplicably. Loved every minute of that, I honestly just wish that the roads looped until you finish the conversation with the person so that you could keep driving without fearing skipping their stop, driving while reading the expertly crafted dialogue was so enchanting!
I won't even begin to claim I can connect the dots to a bigger story here, but I don't think that's the point. Loved the endings and epilogues. I hope more people have patience and stick through this game, It's really different and really special. Y'all should be proud.
Thank you so much! Reviews like this is the reason to continue to make games. *crying* Making art is what we try (and will try) to do.
Looping road and generating encounters while riding was the initial design, but I had to simplify it by a lot (I'm very new to coding :0).
There also more characters than you can meet in one go! And each one have two endings. So if you'll ever want to return to this experience, Road is always waiting for you:)
And we also will continue working on game and expanding it:)
Beautiful graphics, good music and an engaging storyline, this 1-bit gem is a work of art.
I like this game, a lot. It's a very unique exprience, very surrealistic... Got stuck with Ezra, though, where do I let him off?
