Done! At least, I think so... It's my first time exporting to HTML, please let me know if there are any issues (and all other feedback!)

Thank you for taking interest in my game.  I'm so glad you like the art! If you want to see more of it,  you can find it in my tumblr:

The new update is great, but I've noticed that the aseprite files do not split the limbs/moving parts into layers like the old one... any special reason for that?

Yes - I re-downloaded  the file but did not have to pay again.

Thank you! Will love to hear your thoughts!!!

I assumed so :))))

It just wasn't very clear from the devlog and files if it was out or not, so I'd thought I ask.  the tool looks cool, I'll check it out soon

how exciting! just discovered this today and it looks like such fun. is tge update out? :0

Great asset. Works for prototyping and as a base for other sprite work

Hi!  I purchased this asset pack including the asperite file - however, I only see two layers with actual content, and the rest (rperesenting other vfx) are empty (as seen below) any way you can upload the full file?

Omg, sliding at 45 degree slopes is EXACTLY what I need. This pack is already great, though!

First of all, I'm glad you guys found the time to take a break. It's important to rest, game dev is  A L OT especially when you have a day job.

Very proud of your placement of the Jam!! Youv've earned it, and excited to see the game moving forward. It would make an excellent game app for IOS/ANDROID, especially once you juice up the art (cannot wait to see new assets and fun things from you guys!!! I love the art)

Good luck to your new members and looking forward for updates.

p.s: thank you for the shoutout. Made my day!

Thank you so much!!!! It was a challenging game and a wonderful expirience

Can't wait to play it! You guys did an amazing job!
Also, that merch looks SICK

(1 edit)

LOVE THIS! Awesome art, fun gameplay and fantastic impliminatation of the theme!

GO DREADHAND!

(also, am I wrong or does this game have no sound?)

Cool and fun game - Played the demo on the web, cool concept, excellent atmosphere. I wish the jump button wouldn't be mapped to Z on the web version, makes it problamatic to play with WASD - but I suupose I could just switch to arrows.

Good luck with the projcet! I hope to see how it evolves!

Hey, I think I ran into a bug- when you climb the the tower and look aside, thee game is stuck and I can only walk around the sky and everytime I get to the tower it does the "look over to the side" animation.

Adorable game. Game is fun, I love how you always start at a differnt map, and the execution and polish is great. I love the little run animation, lol

My only complaint is I wish we could change horizontal direciton following a wall jump, and not be stuck in the same trajctory

Hi! Can you elaborate? I don't know what the itch app is, but I know the download link works fine... Perhaps it's an option I'm not aware of?

Thank you for trying the game!!!

Also, I am grateful for your feedback, allow me to adress it:

A. Got it- I think I can play around with the spread to maybe improve visibility.

B. Fair point. I have a few ideas on how to solve it.

C. Could you elaborate? Did you have issues pulling thecard at the same turn or the turn after it?

And again, thank you!

Thank you so much!! The improvement is thank to all the feedback, so many thanks for that as well.

Such a cool game. I have a soft spot for terminal simulators and this one runs seamlessly. Love how you have a few options to upgrade.

Lovely, well made and fun. Runs smoothly on phone (android) too! The love for cats is apperent. Fantastic work!

Thank you! I'm glad my interpetation of the theme resonated.

Working on fixing and smmoothing card selection today - thank you all for bringing it to my attention and I'm glad you still enjoyed the game.

Thank you vry very much!!

I plan on fixing the card selection process (as much as I can according to Jam rules) today. Will upload an updated version once I'm done

First of- thank you very much!

I'm glad you liked it, and I'm glad my intentions for atmosphre went through (in no small part due to TurtleBox great tracks :))

Thank you for your feedback - working on fixing this issue today.

Oh I hope It didn't come off like I don't like the game -it's on hell of a ride ('squese my pun)

I know I misseed the stop bcause Ezra was still in my car when I met the next hitchhiker

ahhh I see, ill look for it on relay. Lookimg at the sand is rather difficult, it hurts my eye a bit (maybe I'm just sensitive to that sort of pattern)

I like this game, a lot. It's a very unique exprience, very surrealistic... Got stuck with Ezra, though, where do I let him off?

A fun take on the theme - I freakin' love the graphic and transitions

Fun arade-y game. Animation and music are funtastic, and I like how distinct the two weapons were

Fantastic little gem. Took me a while to figure out but once it finally clicked I really enjoyed it - reminds me of the games I would find online circa middle school and never solve without a walkthrough.

Being able to switch color palettes is a nice touch :)

Love the mechanic and execution. Was smiling the whole time about how fun, simple and clever it was.
I did had hard time to diffrinciate between the swords - maybee a sword and an axe?

Hello! Lovely brushes. Any way we can get aversion compatable w/ Krita?

Thank you for the set either way!

Adorable game! Love how the difficulty rises with each day and the so-simple-it's-fun math you do when brewing coffee to get all the right "stats".

The artstyle is, of course, adorable. I also like the setup, too.

If I could change one thing, I probably have the stats of each ingridient visable when hoverign over it, and not only after pressing it.

First off, thank you for your detailed, constructive comment!

The palette is a colour palette I took from Lopsec to try to challenge myself- I rellay a lot on the contrast of light colors over dark colours. So yeah, I guess it  is on purpuse.

Your point about score being visable is one I agree with- my friend have made a simmillar comment, about how it would be nice to have indevidual score on each basket. Now that the Jam is over, I could perhaps implement some of the great ideas offered by the comments.

I don't think there ISN'T a background game genre, perhaps by other name (casual game?) I play games while listening to other things all the time, especially when they are hard games that take me many tries or games i have multiple walkthroughs in.  I wanted to make one which is even easier than most because when I was sick I couldn't play my usual games, but I wanted to keep my hand busy.

Thank you for taking your chance on Falling!

I loved jumping and collecting leaves, movement was really fun, as well as the sense of dread/urgency with the leaves going up- an excellent way to have a strong visual indicator AND difficulty increase.

I would have liked if the leaves more prenounced, because sometimes I just didn't see them on the orange background-until it was too late and the leaf pile grew. My other point is that the paralex is a bit extream and maybe there could have been an option to turn it off.

Either way, lovely entry. Cute and on theme while still feeling like it has it's own personality.

Thank you for your comment!

I see your points regarding music/SFX -Originally I wanted to have no sound (as you are meant to play it while listening to other things, just to keep your hands busy) but it might be nice to have the option to play it with it's own sound.

The game is meant to be played until you run out of lives- not really a complition point.

Thank you for your kind words and constructive criticism!

Thank you for your comment. Another commenter offered adding a difficulty curve- which I might implement later.

Either way, thank you for taking the time to write the thoughtful comment!

Thank you so much for yoour kind words! Especially in regards to the leaves- it was important to me to make them distinct yet simple looking.

Regarding your comments:

1. Adding curve of difficulty using animation curve is an EXCELLENT idea. I'm not sure if I can add it just yet (Jam rules say no more content during voting duration) but it is a good idea for later implemination, as well as just good note to keep in mind in next projects.

2. Regarding controls- you are absaloutly correct. Originally, I wanted to creat a game to literally keep both of your hands busy, but tbh there's no reason you couldn't play just with the arrow or the WASD keys. I might look into it after the end of the Jam.

Once again, thank you for your kind comment and taking the time to play my game!

Cleaning the forest feels nice and it's very satisfying to fill a garbage can. Cute and calming!

Thank you for letting me know! I will get on uploading a working version right away.
