You know, I suddenly feel happy for having an unlockable scroll wheel. Amazing job, great visuals + unique and fun gameplay.
Would love to see more be done with this idea, certain upgrades for the movement perhaps
Wow, absolutely stunned on how much is already there for a game jam game. Loved the implied story, art style, and the actual game play was also quite nice.
On the gameplay I did have a feeling I was playing more of a turn based game with all the explicitly timed actions. I don't know if this was the goal, but I do like it. Sometimes a monster queues an attack but you didnt have any response anymore leading to damage/death. This actually gave an extra level of depth, it would be nice to see this explored on further
It is quite a good idea for a game. however as you mentioned already in you text, it is missing some polish. One thing that quite bothered me where the controls and movement(eg. really annoying to get on the platform for the second floor). so if you plan on continuing the development I would recommend tackling that first.
Nice game shows quite some promise, I however cant seem to find what to do. On spawing I can explore the cave a bit but dont find anything, or swim up and also dont find anything. If I am missing something feel free to say so and i'll boot up the game again :].
Besides that I am a bit confused by the up and down movement seemingly not going up or down, but rotating the axle on a circle, it does make moving around a bit more challenging.
Great job on the graphics and sound design!
Game contains a virus. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Most likely a false positive, be wary though.
-> looked further into it, it seems that it was not intended to be virus. However Whatever you used to compile the pygame code is marked as a virus by windows defender. If you used pyinstaller then it seems to be a known problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/pygame/comments/oepnd4/why_does_everything_think_my_gam...
