I would LOVE to play the game, but unfortunatly the games favorite food is my computers RAM :(

I really enjoyed the game, the drawings are very cute and the concept is interesting, well done!

Oh wow, I really stretched my memory muscles, I like that.

The visuals and animations are very polished and well-done. Having to memorize the sequence of doors is an interesting take on the theme and a good twist on this style of game. I like the ricocheting bullets and the nod to Zelda. I think it was a good idea to have the recoil mechanic as it discourages the player from simply standing in a doorway and firing at the enemies. Doing so could send them recoiling back into the wrong room and mess up the door sequence if they're not careful with it.

The aiming mechanics seem to be a bit off. There was quite a few times where I had the reticle directly on a non-mobile ninja, but the bullet would go right past the enemy anyway.

I could see this one being expanded on with more weapons, more enemies, and even more door patterns. Nice job!

Really cool game, would love to see this continued! The art is really beautiful and the game feels very smooth. Also the music you chose was very fitting. I think having to remember the directions was a pretty neat idea. I think it could maybe be fewer directions in the first run though and then you could gradually add more or maybe other signs etc. you have to watch out for to find the right door. All in all great work!

Would be really cool if you'd check out and rate our game as well :)

Remembering the directions was a bit of a challenge but also fun, what I only would change is that you don't have to turn back to the same door you came from,  e.g.  if we have down then up it feels like you are about to go to the same place you came from, but I would feel as if it was more of a maze if I would've gone to a different door instead. But overall well done, the camera shakes were also very good.

Love the nod to the legend of Zelda, and loved the design and implementation of the artwork. Superb.

I do wish there was more to the game. Which all in all is a good thing.

Keep up the good work.

Cute game! The visuals are great. The gun and shooting animations are fun! I liked the little 'steam' achievement in the corner when I died. All around a top notch game!

Developer

Thank you, I spent most of my time learning how to use the asset pack, I'll have go back and add more mazes and guns.

Can't say enough how awesome the visuals are! Truly something special, definitely encourage you to keep working on this game. I somehow missed the frog's instructions about the maze and was very confused that I kept ending up in the starting room and there were no enemies.

Through trial and error I solved the first maze and then realized how it was supposed to work before fighting ninjas in the second maze. Wish I had just re-read his speech earlier lol. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! I should have changed the 'A' above the frog to 'Spacebar' it was meant to be 'A' for action, but that was a bit confusing. Great job brute forcing the puzzle lol.

Cool game. Very polished.

I really enjoyed the graphics and controls of this game. The movement is fun and shooting ninjas by bouncing bullets off the wall is cool. My only criticism is the path that must be taken to complete each level. I had to take screenshots because I couldn't remember the whole path. All in all it was fun though, great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, maybe seven rooms is too many. It gets especially hard to remember what path to take when you start fighting the ninjas. I even started to forget the right path lol

Wonderful sprite work, visual effects, and SFX! The gun and sword handling felt great. Really reminded me of the power of game juice. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get past the second maze, even after I killed all the ninjas - I was using the download version if that helps. Would love to finish the game if you get a patch in, and I had a really good time getting as far as I could. Super underrated!

Thanks for giving it a shot. I appreciate the feedback. I only got two mazes done. I had a lot of other ideas, but didn't get them implemented. I used the Top Down Engine and a lot of time went to learning how to use the asset. I would really like to recreate this myself so I can better understand the code.

I was stuck in the ninja room after I killed him :( Game looks cool though, maybe a bit too much bloom.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try, I was trying to make it so you had to kill the ninja before you moved the next room. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it working but forgot to re-enable to doors in the second maze. Thanks for finding the bug. I uploaded an updated Windows build if you wanted to try the second maze again. There are currently only two mazes. Also thanks for the feedback on the bloom!

Nice work, sadly it does not seem like a finished game. Gave me enter the gungeon vibes(amazing game btw if you havent played it yet), and certainly would love to see more of this :].

So as a review: Controls/graphics/audio all are great, only missing some more content.

Developer

Thank you, I love Enter the Gungeon. I was trying to do a mix between Enter the Gungeon and The Legend of Zelda, Lost Woods puzzles. We have more ideas for puzzles, but had busy work weeks and didn't put in as much time as we wanted to. I really appreciate the feedback!
