Didn't notice the abilities at first, because dashing alone dispatched the geometric horrors in the first room. Very pretty game, and I loved the 6 laser.

Fun game! A new take on the many dice rolling puzzlers.

By the way, a typical d6 is different (has opposite faces add to seven). Your dice works too though :).

There is a flickering enemy square at the very center of the screen. I'm willing to bet that all the enemies are instantiated there and then moved a frame or two later. Try to start them off screen to avoid this.

Oh yeah, and infinite towers

Didn't see any reason to not just always + and =. Nice art and fun voice effect

Funny. Can't imagine it being much more complex for being submitted 1 hour into the jam.

Short and sweet. A little basic, and I think the spear is not worth keeping, but nice work the two of you.

I had a lot of difficulty hitting ships with more than two health. They're just too fast for me. Tutorial is a must. I like that you've built a lore/world around your jam game.

I appreciate the gameboy inspiration but no need to mimic its affinity for difficult to use UI. I'd have preferred to be able to save multiple dice without it resetting to Stay, and sometimes I'd lose track of my selection because saved dice don't change when 'selected'

I enjoyed the game more than expected. It really quickly just became a matter of only buying d20s, but not mad about that :)

You can lose the game in one turn by selecting all the boxes. The game should check for only one per turn.

Also, it relies on you knowing how to play the existing physical dice game

Also doesn't load for me, but from what you wrote it reminds me of the physical dice game Yahtzee. That might give you inspiration into adding complexity if you continue this project.

Occasionally tricky puzzler, nice work

The game window was very small in my browser. That along with the dark lighting made seeing the puzzle and facing difficult at times. I'd like to move the view to the back of the die sometimes, not just the sides.

I agree with a tutorial being helpful. I was still able to play because you can click on the hearts and select dice for slicing (good slice sound effect btw). And interestingly the bigger red fish aren't broken. I wasn't clear on what "Dice: #" or the whole Goal UI was trying to ask of me.

Small bug. On floor 23 there are two doors. I rolled low so the exit became a down ramp, but I wanted to continue so I tried the other door for a re-roll. Which, of course, got rid of the down ramp exit.

Made all the more conspicuous by no NPC there. Did I become the NPC on 23?

The download only has a Windows executable .exe. Please update the supported OS accordingly (no Mac support)

I really liked it! I thought assigning stats every turn would get old but it grew on me, although given how often you're doing it, it'd be great if it was a speedier UI than a point and click. I liked the character mechanics, the rogue and robot were my favorite. Nicely done!

The download indicates its supported for Mac but I was unable to open it on MacOS

"Unable to open 'MacOS' download"

Wonderful work! This concept is so creative and the presentation is immaculate. the puzzles become really easy once you figure out the trick, but the process of figuring it out felt genuinely rewarding! This has got to be my favorite game jam game I've played so far.

Keep up the great work!

I really liked the theme and art style! In combat, I found it kind of hard to distinguish between the different tiers items, it'd be great if their name could be displayed when you highlight them in your inventory or something like that.

Anyway, very impressive work!

Super interesting concept for a turn based game!

While in the dungeon you can't see the adjacent sides of the die which makes it hard to strategize. Also, "first aid" trivialized basically every encounter after I got it. Maybe the abilities on the die should be consumed after each level or something like that?

Anyway, I really liked the gameplay and the art style. Nice work!

Nice job. Tricky flipping puzzler. I think the dice face previews are a bit hard to see and could be improved for future work.

Great job. No notes

Love a puzzler. I enjoy the calm music and the success/failed sounds. The animations are amazing. I even got a little stumped on the level with the Jump x2

Absolutely darling. The music is one of the first loops I've heard today that I don't turn off within 2 minutes. I like the flat sprites against a 2D world. Nice work

No luck with the Mac versions :-(      Plus, I don't think Mac has a native RAR opener. I used .tar for my Mac build

Very nice. I didn't notice that the jump distance was the face number without reading the page, but even so, the jumping mechanic is a great twist to a maze.

Download only includes Windows executable .exe Please tag the game appropriately; not for Mac

Interesting idea. The follow up power shots are very sensitive but eventually I could get a few together so its not *too* tough.

Zip only contains Windows executable .exe Please label the game accordingly.

Ah, that helps. That resolution sounds good. The screen was zoomed in to that corner. Probably a export setting

Aesthetic is quite polished so the bare menus are jarring.

I saw the others guess 0 at least once, so there's something off in that code. I'd like to see what the rolled number is to feel that I really guessed "correctly"

Permissions were stripped on the Mac executable. Seems to be a problem with .zip, try .tar

Impressive for just an html document. Randomized powers is a classic

Jar failed to open on Mac. No error message, just an idling java process. Hope others have better luck.

I only see an exe in the download which isn't a Mac executable. Please tag this game accordingly.

I like the random tower mechanic. However there's some tweaking needed. I quickly got so many health towers I couldn't shoot the enemies so I just waited for them to damage me until more towers broke. Not a fun gameplay loop.

Also, a resolution option would be could. I could only see the top left 1/4 (I think that much) and the camera didn't follow the player.
