How does your game fit the theme?
Early in the game, the shopkeeper gives you a cheap deal that might not always work, It eventually becomes more effective but it's more expensive. How effective it is is determined by a dice. Besides that, most if not all of the RNG is based on a number between 1 and 6 such as levels.
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

Overall a good game!
I enjoy the everything moves when you do mechanic, really reminds me of the mystery dungeon series! Sometimes felt a little too rng based but the fact you can restart a room whenever was a good call.
It was a complete oversight in the first build, as I mostly implemented that for debug features.
However, since it didn't break the game I thought it'd probably be helpful for some players. I'm glad it was a good choice!
Cute dungeon crawler with an interesting shop mechanic! Really nice work, everything was good across the board.
Nice game. Liked the graphics. Please check out my game.
Really addicting game! The best I could do was level 9 but getting there was lots of fun!
one of my favorites. the music and art are cool. and I really liked buying weapons before each level, especially the bow.
Man, this one is pretty hard! I didn't feel like a got a good enough grasp of what potions did and how to really kite enemies. Regardless, I felt like I learned a lot, and this sense of learning and progression is masterful. Really fun game.
im not usually one for dungeon crawlers but this was very fun!! the idea was super cool and very rewarding, the music and art is great, and it was executed super well :] my only gripe is that the mechanics couldve been explained a bit better, but i still got ahold of them eventually
overall you did great, proud of you mary!
Very epic, very based
I really liked the theme and art style! In combat, I found it kind of hard to distinguish between the different tiers items, it'd be great if their name could be displayed when you highlight them in your inventory or something like that.
Anyway, very impressive work!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Game looks great and sounds great. Art looks professional.
The gameplay is a turn based grid dungeon crawler. It works as intended and is easy to understand.
The rng mechanic on everything is neat, but instead of dice, you could just put percentages in the shop. It would be easier to understand with percentage numbers instead of a line of black and white dice. It fits the theme, but it feels like rng is the mechanic, not dice rolls.
Also how the heck do I use potions? Whenever I selected a potion, it hurt me.
Yeah perhaps the potion is bad luck early on...
As I've said before every randomly generated number can be generated by a dice.
Very awesome! Also hard. Should have bought more heart slots
You can always re-play! it!
This is my favorite submission so far! The style is super cute and charming, which is made all the more impressive with the 2 bit color palette! The gameplay is super fun, and I can totally imagine myself playing it on a school desktop in highschool! I'll definitely be playing it in my free time after I've finished rating more games. Really really great job!
Thank you so much! <3
idk if the issue is me. But I couldn't get the key scheme or get past the shopkeeper after the first level.
I like the art though. And the idea of having a random chance dictate what you buy.
Cool idea!
There is an option called "Exit" at the very bottom of the list.
Press the A button on the controller or Z on the keyboard to select it.
