Thanks for pointing this out! It may be a bug from my movement script when adding downward velocity. I couldn't get to this before submission, but I will definitely be more aware of this in my future games :)

Thanks for the feedback! I was intending for the platforms to be more of a challenge for the player so that it simulated a real life moving platform where it would be hard to maintain balance. I could have definitely done better in maybe adding something like minimal camera shakes to indicate that the platform was unstable. I really appreciate you playing the game :)
Thank you so much for the feedback! The moving platforms not carrying you as expected was intentional to simulate a real platform moving and not being able to keep balance. The jumping bug though I noticed after submission. I'm definitely gonna look at improving detections for grounds and other things in future games. I really appreciate you playing!
Hi everyone! Please give Rockblasta a try if you have a chance. Thank you!

The last few days has been such a mix of chaos and fatigue, in the good way haha. I was not sure if I could finish my game because I started 3 days late, but it was definitely worth it to close it out. This is my 2nd game jam with GameDev.tv and I'm looking forward to trying out all the new games! After a deserved nap of course :)
If anyone wants to try out my 2D action platformer RockBlasta, you can check it out here: https://jpragasa.itch.io/rockblasta
I'd love to hear any feedback anyone has!
Hi! I tried out the game, I wanted to say good job for starts. I really like the character and the death transitions. The overall feel is really nice. The jump for me is very floaty, kinda like space haha. Adding some downward velocity when not grounded might help that a bit. Unless floaty is what you were going for, then it works pretty well. Also, I don't know if there were any sound in the game? The browser didn't pick up any so it was silent for me at least.
I also made a platformer for the game jam if you want to check it out: https://jpragasa.itch.io/rockblasta
I'm more than open to any feedback as well!
Thanks for the fun experience :)
This was really fun! The aesthetics were on point and I liked the little random dialogues when you go along. The music on startup is a little loud though. Setting it at half or third of the original volume will definitely help the initial introduction. But I do like that you can adjust it in the settings. Also, for shooting, it might be worth exploring the projectile spawning from where the gun point is at and going to the location of where the player's cursor hit goes. Overall, I really liked the game. Great job!
