Thanks Daulton! We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us!

Since we wouldn't have time to implement an audio slide or some form of options menu, we opted to leave the music not to high so we didn't blow people ears out lol, but in some systems or audio devices it can definitely be an issue.

We also like the idea to include a counter of how many uses you have on the Q powerup, and carrying multiple people at the same time.

We decided to not allow the player to go back up the floors by default*, because we thought it would provide an extra challenge since the player would need to make sure he got everyone on the floor so he can proceed to the lower levels, which makes the Q powerup more relevant and valuable.

*What I mean with "by default", is we have plans to add placeable stairs as an item like the bomb, so the player can go back up if he needs to, but that is part of a future iteration.

About the rest of the issues, those are part of small bugs we didn't have time to fix, but we'll definitely have a look at that on future updates.

Once again thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it!

Also, I would like to point out that you getting more time is triggered by pressing the space key, yeah... It's a bug, we didn't have time to fix as you can see by the 15 minutes before deadline submission, lol, sorry about that!

Thanks! It's really nice to hear that, we're happy you got to enjoy our game!

Wow thanks a lot! We are really happy you got to play our game, seems like you enjoyed it, we hope so at least!

Be sure to check your game page, we definitely played it too! Thanks!

The game has a great concept but really lacks polishing on the visuals, which turns the experience less enjoyable, for me at least. Maybe if you had gone for a solid colors or unlit art style it would get better results with a nice balance of productivity, I get it is a prototype but I would like to point that out still.

I like the premise of the game, it has a great foundation for expansion, like finding upgrades or even consumables, the upgrades are a nice addition and makes a nice difference. The core of the game is present, you just need to make it more interesting and a little bit more strategic, I like that you have two different types of holes, but as the game progresses and the oxygen gets A LOT more expensive, what I found myself doing is just digging the white holes in hopes I would get a treasure instead of a bomb, and digging the brown holes gives too little so it's not worth and I just ignored them, that isn't very strategic, is pure luck. Maybe a system or upgrade where I can scan or reveal treasure holes would be a nice addition.

I liked the music on the game, but the alien-like sound that was playing over it was super obnoxious, I don't know if it was put there to give some sense of danger or mystery, but for me it just spoiled the nice music on the background.

I still don't get why I can't go backwards.

Overall it's a nice game, just needs more polishing and thought out art style and identity.  Congrats on the submission!

If you have the time, we would really love for you to check, rate and give feedback on our game too, thanks!

This game is really well rounded and designed in all areas, lighting the level with not only the cube but also with the portals is a great idea. I tend to agree with what the others are saying that it could light a little bit more than it does, but to be honest I really didn't think it was that bad since I can jump to shoot the portal on the ground to see where I would land, and since I mentioned the jump, I feel it didn't really had its use other than for what I mentioned, I didn't have enough space to jump over spikes, and didn't needed to use it to pass the challenges, well, at least the ones I got to on the third level because the respawn was only working on the first level so after a few tries I got tired of restarting all over again.

A few ideas I have for the jump is platforming, I feel it could fit really nicely in your game, now how can you do platforming in such a dark game? How about shooting the portals into cubes that light up a small area so you can see the platforms, or maybe shooting the platforms make THEM light up! There's definitely room for improvement and expanding on the idea. Stick Fight: The Game from Landfall Studios is a great reference for iterating of future challenges, I would say (lasers and stuff).

And I feel like some people are not doing justice about the lack of a checkpoint, maybe they didn't noticed the portals stays up even after you die, so you can use that like a checkpoint, well... assuming you didn't put the portal right above a spike. I feel like this is way better and smarter than a simple checkpoint system. Try making that clear next time! (;

The minimalist graphics & sound FX  and ambient music goes really well together, I think nothing really needs to change about that.

There was definitely something jenky going on with the controls as I lost mouse control two times, and as I mentioned, the respawn only works on the first level. Well, that's how jams go sometimes!

With all that said, I think it's a really cool game with potential if you work more into it. Congrats on the submission!

If you got the time, we would love for you to check, rate and give feedback on our game, thanks!

Bryan W.

The game definitely has potential, but it needs more work on the game design, so it can have more challenges and ways to solve a problem, that pipe for example, I meant to go inside there but couldn't, with that said, you managed to make a win and lose state and two levels! That is awesome for someone who is on their first game jam, so congrats to you and we hope to see you participating in future jams!

If you have time, we would love for you to come check, rate, and leave feedback on our game too, thanks!

This game had potential, but the lack of lose state really put me off here, I mean yeah I can play the way it was supposed to but I can take a blow to the head and run away with no problems.  The challenge on the game really boils down to the farmer, there is no obstacles or other rules or entities to provide a more richer experience to the game. The music is cool, the graphics are great but lack a little bit of style, take Untitled Goose game for example, it's simplistic but it's got style.

Overall I think it need more work on the game design so it can provide a more entertaining and richer experience. With that said, congrats on the submission!

OH OH, A DETECTIVE GAME! I was super pumped to play this just for the genre because it's not that common and not very easy to pull of, with that said, I think you have gone in the right direction with the design, I feel like it has a nice balance of player agency (searching for clues and manually organizing the events) and "hand holding" (providing feedback on the number of clues and events) so the player doesn't get stuck thinking "Did I missed something?" kinda of thoughts in a bad way, and in "a bad way" I mean the player not knowing if everything relevant has been cleared out because the game failed to tell so.

I liked the game style with the robot-like character, The Sims style camera, post-its interface and fish eye effect (although some suffered nausea, so maybe an option to turn on and off is the way to go).

It obviously lacked a little bit on the textures and audio department but this is a game jam and you made up for it with the innovation and general theme and design. I ended up playing this game with some jazz tunes so thats my suggestion for music, for audio FX and artstyle I think something like The Long Dark might be a great shot, with hand painted textures and detailed actions sounds.

Overall I really liked your game, I also like to think the suspect got into the house to steal the toilet paper because he had none, so yeah! Congrats to both of you on the submission!

I loved this game music, I  got myself listening to it for a long time, even right now while writing this comment! The game is fun and nostalgic, has a nice art, and a well thought out gameplay.

I liked the way you used the holes for going from level to level, the power ups that allows the access on different place otherwise unaccesable, and the challenges utilizing the character movement.
Congrats on the submission

Really challenging game, I like it a lot, the mechanic is simple but fun and allows to create many levels. The art is simple but beutiful, game design well thought out, I just missed the sound effects and music for the game. Congratulations on the submission!

The game is really fun, the musics are great both on the menu and on the gameplay levels, the way they fit together with the game theme is nice, to steal carrots to feed the babies and dig holes to access enclosed places is simple but very addicting, the farmer adds a nice difficulty for the game.

Issue I had was a lack of explanation on the controls, I got really lost on the first try. I also had a hard time to pickup the carrots and dig the holes because the keys "X" and "Z" are confusing, maybe change that to "Q" and "E" would make it better? Congratulations on the submission!

Hi!! Here's our game, it envolves throwing people through windows out of a building (without hurting them of course...).

Hope you like it!

Wow, this game is good!

The controls are very intuitive and it's mechanics are very easy to understand. The game also has a well planned difficulty progression, which is very good.

The art is very simple but fits perfectly on the game's idea.

The sound design is well done, the sound effects and the music are very good!

Overall this is a very solid game, it's addicting and I can't stop playing it! I'm looking forward to see more from this game in the future, congrats!!

This is a very fun game to play, it's beautiful and it has a very easy mechanic to learn.

I had a minor problem at the start, didn't quite understand the controls, maybe an explicit explanation on it would help. But when you get it, is pretty straightforward.

The movement is a bit clunky and the jump is a little bit inconsistent, that might be a problem but it's probably easy to fix.

The art really stands out, the game is beautiful. And I also liked the variations for all the spells, how unique are each one of them.

The music is pleasant to hear, fits very well with the game.

Overall it's a very good game and I had a lot of fun playing it! Congrats!!

This game is very good!! Since I saw the thumbnail on the submissions I've been wanting to play it, and I'm glad I did it.

The controls are very easy to learn. The main mechanic is really well made, works perfectly.

The art is amazing, the 3D models are incredible!

The sound design is also amazing, and the fact that the game has voice acting makes it even better.

This is one of the best submissions, congrats!!

The idea of making a game simulating a whack-a-mole machine is very cool, the hammer mechanics are completely smooth and their combination with the animations made the game even better.

The art style is simple but fits perfectly.

The difficulty progression is well balanced, while you keep whacking those moles the game keeps getting harder and harder, which is very cool. To make it even better maybe a sensitivity slider would be a great addition.

The sounds are great, but some of them need a little volume adjustment.

Overall it is a very fun and well executed game! Well done!!

hope you like it

It is a very good suggestion, we're certainly considering adding it on future updates! Thanks for playing!!

Thank you very much for playing it, we really appreciate it!!

The game has a great idea, it has elements that enable the creation of a wide variety of levels. On the gameplay side, maybe make the ball go be a little bit faster would help, sometimes we have to wait too long to make the next play.

The art is simple, but fits very well with the game.

I liked the attention given to the game's sound effects, but maybe a sound to notify that it's time to play again would be a great addition.

The music in the game is a little bit tiring, a soft music could be better in this type of game, but that might be just me.

And I also felt a lack of explanation for the game's controls, it turns out to be a little confusing, which made my gameplay somewhat difficult.

But overall is a very fun game to play, I really enjoyed my time playing it, Congrats!!

Don't worry about that mate, thats the right thing to do!  Congratulations on what you achieved!

And wow, we're flattered, thanks! We're sure out there playing other people awesome games and leaving rating and feedback in hopes other people do the same to ours, thanks for the tip!

HAHA, and here were we crossing our fingers that nobody would notice the lack of stairs! We had a talk about that, we originally planned to include space for stairs but block them with fire, it didn't make into the final version of the jam as you could (not) see lol.

Thanks for playing and we are very happy you got to enjoy our game! And oops, looks like the collision is a bit funky there mate, sorry!

The game art is really well crafted and beautiful, even tiny details like movement particles from the character, the effect on the destruction of blocks and items, all shaping up an even better game. I like the well rounded game design, based on a random level generator that makes every playthrough unique and the item collection improves on whats great already. The level music and sound FX are really well made and goes pretty nicely with the game art and player action, the different music tracks that start with the game are great as well. The overall sound design is pretty neat. The save game is a really nice addition, saving the player record makes the player go even further trying to beat the high score, specially if a game is really fun (which is your case) where I can call friends and family to try it too. Only thing I didn't really like was the movement using the mouse, but since it's a mobile game, I believe it has way better results there. Overall I believe it is a great game, looking forward playing it in the future, congratulations!

What a fun game to play! The interaction with the environment via the dash allows different types of destruction and opens up lots of possibilities to reach the objective, which is very cool.

The core mechanic is very interesting, it gives the game a lot of potential.

The art is simple but it's still beautiful, and the 2D lightning details adds are a very nice touch to the game. One thing that would make it even better is to make the lines smoothier, there are some parts that they are too rough.

The music and sound effects fits perfectly with the gameplay.

Overall it's a very cool game, and we can definitely see ourselves playing it for hours. Looking forward to see more from this game!

Well done!!

This is a relaxing and at the same time challenging game to play.  The game is beautiful and well polished, gameplay flows perfectly, making the next level always more challenging than the previous one.

The art in this game is amazing, the stylized artstyle combined with the calm music and well chosen sound effects makes the game even better.

The hole moving mechanic at first might be a little bit confusing, but it's very easy to figure it out.

It's incredible how every part of this game blends perfectly with each other creating this amazing and relaxing experience. Congrats!!

We used a plugin by Nvidia called APEX Destruction that turns a mesh into multiple chunks set by us, and with a line trace we apply impulse and switch the normal wall with a destructible one and a second to be the "leftovers" of the original wall and deactivate the player collision response on the chunks so you can move through them with no problem. It's now discontinued, a little big buggy to work with, and can definitely not work for what you may intent to as it almost didn't for us, but it's what we somewhat knew how to work with. I would suggest studying chaos destruction from Unreal (the game is made in UE4 btw) if want to make something similar, since it's their in house implementation of what APEX did, but that I would imagine it's much more stable and reliable (even tho it's in pretty early stages).

The problems you described it's not super common but definitely not just on your end, those are part of small bugs we didn't have enough time to fix as you can see from the 15 minutes before deadline (lol), and yes! We agree on the fire thing, it was kinda rushed till the end, thats why you couldn't see it present on the first two levels.

Thanks for the review and we're super happy you got to enjoy our game! We're sure out there playing other people awesome games and leaving rating and feedback in hopes other people do the same to ours, thanks for the tip!

The game has an awesome idea, to use an X-Ray to see where to land, pretty cool, the environmental sound goes nicely with the game concept. With all that, I gotta say I find the difficulty curve a little bit steep, but it's alright once you get to grips with the game, a more gradual difficulty curve would be better.

TLDR: Fun, simple but beautiful art, pleasant audio, and got me hooked for a long time.

The game has a great idea, its simple but addicting and allows for a great number of levels to be created with this base, the scenery music is fun and goes nicely with the game style. The audio FX was great and the best part of the gameplay the challenge at the end for not killing anyone, I tried and failed, it definitely brings some difficulty into the table, well done!

Hi everyone! If you guys ever had the desire to throw someone through the window of a building (without hurting them, of course...) and at the same time being their hero, you really should give my team's game a try. And if you never had that desire... I mean... there's always a first time for everything right?

And don't forget to leave a comment, it will be a pleasure for us to play your games as well! Thanks!!

Such a beautiful and well executed game, loved the stealth mechanics!

The art is perfect, I loved every single part of it.

The music was a good addition to the game, only on the boss fight that it doesn't fit, maybe a more intense one would be better.

The sections on which the enemies were placed were well designed, giving different ways to advance. But I have to say, maybe the boss fight compared to the rest of the game is a little bit too hard.

Overall a very fun, beautiful and addictive game, can't wait for more updates! Congrats!!

The game is beautiful and well polished, at the beginning the controls might be a little complicated but in my case I got used to them very quickly.

Both game modes are very fun and challenging to play.

The audio suits perfectly with the gameplay on both modes, on Precision Mode a more "calm" music with a calm and precise gameplay and on Chaos Mode a more intense music combining with a very fast paced gameplay, absolutely loved it.

The UI is simple but it fits perfectly. I only had a minor problem on the main menu when selecting modes, got a little bit confused on which mode I was selected in, maybe the selected mode should be highlighted on bright white and the other darkened. But that might be just me.

Overall, amazing job! Looking forward to see more from this game!!
