Very creative gameplay and storytelling.

Really love that feeling of being watched/studied. Great atmosphere!

(1 edit)

Yes, I totally agree with you, right now it's more an animation than a game.

I wanted to add some strategy / roguelike elements but I didn't have enough time.

But I've learned a lot from the jam, I'll definitely experiment with this kind of game more.

Thank you very much!

Really love the polish of the game. Great UI, aesthetic and sounds.

Nice gameplay too, definitely has potential!

Thank you much! :)

What a cute intepretation of the theme. Feels very nostalgic.

Good job!

Fun anomaly game!

Reminds me a little of Dollmare. I really like the atmosphere and visuals

Really cool atmosphere!

Happy to see another "I'm playing a game against a TV" game haha

Thank you so much!

I might, I'm definitely going to explore that art style further!

There is definitely a big Buckshot Roulette inspiration!

For the art style, I replied to a comment below detailling how I achieved it in Unreal

Good luck too, can't wait to see your future projects!

The child is very grateful because it's been a while since he played Bastion or listened to the OST.

The kid- I mean, the child really likes the visual effect of the tiles's reveal.

The child is now very nostalgic of Bastion and is going to listen to the OST.

I really like that mix of 2D sprite with a 3D environment.

And those babies are nightmare fuel, good job!

Interesting concept, looks like a mashup of Doors and Blue Prince.

Like many others, I find the control scheme a bit weird. Also I think I had a bad seed and was softlocked at some point, because I was in a room where every door was locked and I couldn't find a key. It's also a little frustrating to have to watch the credits and the tutorial again after dying.

But other than that, it's very fun to build the house and learn what every enemy does. This definitely has a lot of potential to become a great game. Great work!

Great game, very addictive!

I had a crash at some point, which was almost a blessing because I was spending way too much time playing, haha.

And I really appreciate the efforts spent on the intro

Hey, thank you so much!

For the outlines and cel shader, it's a post process material.  On this artstation post, you'll find a paper that explain how to do a similar one.

There are other methods, but what’s nice about this one is that it uses the normal information from your material to generate the outlines. Most of the outlines in the scenes are made with very simple normal maps. for instance, the rock texture is just a basic cloud texture converted into a normal map.

The outlines  and shadows are also pure black to give it a dark horror vibe. The game only uses one spotlight and the player can’t move, so I can really focus on making the scene look good from a single angle.

Honestly, my main motivation for this jam was to experiment with a NPR artstyle in Unreal, so I'm still figuring stuff out.

Very fun game, that's a love of content for a jam: several minigames and endings.

I love the pixel art

Great work!

Yes, sadly Unreal doesn't allow html build anymore.

Not the best for a game jam. T

Thank you very much for going through the effort of downloading it, that's very kind of you!

I like the costume changing mechanic.

Good job!

Got an exception at the end.

Otherwise, simple but fun. I like the feeling of swinging the sword.

Very well done, it reminds me of those all point and click games.

I enjoyed finding all the shards, the puzzle difficulty is well balanced.

Great job!

Fun little story. I like the time loop

Congratulations!

Fun idea to match the lyrics to the gameplay

Could be a fun base for a more complete game, the hat changing mechanic is an interesting hook

Very unique art style, that's pretty clever

Pretty fun way to make a Sokoban more interesting, I like the flashlight element. And really love the art at the beginning

I really like how the game switch between the TV world and the real world, that's pretty creative

Nice way to use the provided assets. I like the CRT shader.

You can flush the toilet so it's a 10/10 game.

I like the bathroom scare.

Very cute, love the bunny and the ball mechanic

Great use of the theme and very polished, great job!

I enjoyed playing and replaying it.

My main pet peeve is that it's a little weird to have to use your heal cards on enemies.

And my boy Hastur should be in yellow.

Un chef d'oeuvre, cimer Cassoulet Corp putain

Wow, I love the secret easter egg that happened after 2 hours!

Très bon concept avec plein de petits secrets, très lovecraftien.

I love the laugh of the lie!
