Thank you! I can definitely see how this was a problem for the player, I want to make an update that is more rewarding for the player and not so frustrating.

I really liked it! Awesome update for the game, I'm really glad I could help inspire you to push this forward. You had it in you all along tho, I'm sure you will continue to make great games!

AWESOME! This is a really great update, I really like how the ship moves around and you made a very neat concept even more fun! This is really fun and still a bit spooky but in a good fun way :D

This was very challenging; the enemies shoot so much it felt inevitable that the player would die. Would be cool if the player could shoot enemy bullets to clear a path to the enemy in the future. I like the music and art too. This game has great potential, great work.

Fun game, nice one bit graphics match and have great contrasting colors. I liked the audio and gameplay, which was pretty hard. I think a speed based difficulty setting could be a good implementation in the future. Great work!

This game was fabulous! I had a ton of fun with the way the main characters running, the cows were adorable, and the music was mint! Great work!

I really like the original artwork, really reminds me of an old commodore type game or msdos.

It felt a lot like Mario, which is challenging to do imo. The character itself felt a bit too stiff, I think it would make this game a lot more compelling if there was more frames to the cats animations.

Took me a second to figure out that I needed more than one candle for that first jump.
I felt like the idea of jumping over the candlestick was neat, like the old nursury rhyme. However, would have been cooler as a runner. For example, if 'Jack' was nimble and quick and each time he jumped over the candlestick he got a tiny bit faster.

Great job and keep it up!

I thought that the majority of the art looks good, there are some mismatches but nothing is perfect. I wish there was sound, would be nice to hear some feedback for the character. Enemies were overlapping in a way that made it sorta difficult to hit them, would be cool if they would collide with each other so they don't all stand in the same spot.

I think what you have is a great start, for example if the skeletons are coming in waves they could get stronger every time a certain number of waves is cleared. Maybe a weapon drop or dash skill would be able to help the character build up with the game.

I don't think it's bad, but it doesn't feel finished. I'd come back to play it when it's done :D

Great job and keep going, this is pretty sweet so far!

I tried on Chrome, and had the same behavior. Here is the log:

It doesn't look like anything specific failed which is odd.

Windows 11 on Edge. I'll give Chrome a try, I just don't normally use it because of power consumption and privacy concerns.

I can see why that would be confusing, will consider using larger hitbox's in the future. I'm glad you liked the music, I wanted to really give it that retro arcade feel using all free assets. Thank you for taking the time to play, I'm glad you had fun!

Thank you, I really liked the game it was based on from GTA San Andreas called 'They crawled from uranus' (which is a barebones version of Gyruss from 1983.) I have always wanted to play it with arcade controls so I made this :D

I appreciate your feedback and I can see why that would be confusing. Thank you for playing!

This was a fun game, it actually drove a bit of anxiety for me because I couldn't see what I'm really doing and the sounds and radar are convincing lol. I had fun fumbling around the maze trying to find the exits. The mazes are challenging too, this wasn't what I expected and it was really great. Good work!

Tried to get this to run, but it fails in the browser.

I have a long-standing rule against downloading compiled projects from itch, so I will take the images words for it. The image with the little ship zooming in the stars looks cool, conveys an image of speed. The enemies in the next picture are clear and obviously a threat. I didn't get to move around but I'm picturing something like asteroids which would be neat. All in all, I can't give a proper rating, I'd like to be able to play in the browser securely.

I love the 1 bit look. Moving around is smooth, doesn't feel too slow to me. I like the way the sword bats the shots back at the enemies, that was a really nice touch and a fun mechanic to play around with. The levels are spread out in a way that felt good too. I enjoyed collecting the keys for the doors. The boss was awesome too, his laser beam is really sick. Great work, I had a lot a fun!

I like the idea, I couldn't stay alive long enough to get through the first level I think. I could still move when I died which made it confusing what was going on to me. I was getting stuck on corners too, grid based movement would have been really neat in this format.

(1 edit)

I think this was unique, I was trying to move but could not figure out how to move during the round. I was able to setup my cards and use the coins, but I don't know how to get them back. The game hook seems unique and would be fun with more development.

The enemies will attack you when they are close to you, it's turn based so when it's your turn the enemy is passive.

I had fun in this game trying to get to the top. It was challenging to avoid the enemies.

This was fun, good work on the game!

This was really nice, felt great and was fun to play. Great game!

This was lots of fun, great game and certainly turned out awesome! I like the hammer weapon the most!

This was lots of fun, the 3d was a really cool touch. Good job!

They symbols were hard to decipher, other than that I had a ton of fun. Good job!

Super cool game, I like the nostalgia of raising the pet! Good job!

This was a neat concept and it was pretty challenging. Great work!

Very fun and casual. I like this game, good work!

This was fabulous, I really like how it spawns you to different places each time you retry. The map was v useful and I like the subtle beep when you change quadrants. Very well done!

I loved the audio, very well done. The game did a good job story telling and cinematics. I had a couple issues with this rock landing on me I think and I could no longer jump or climb or use the propellers, I enjoyed everything about this game. Great work!

Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

Thank you! I actually just got the boss programmed with a detailed fsm to help withg this. The enemies too, but can't update till after the jam is over. Thank you for your feedback!

Very well done, good moves and challenging levels. Nicely done :D

This was fun, nicely done :D

I like flipping from orbit to orbit, this was lots of fun!

Thank you, I definitely loved that game and had some inspiration.

Thank you, I'm glad that you had fun!
