fighting and walking outside decreases energy, Endurance (or was it strength?) and high level will make them last more. 

if you just started, resting outside using 3 suplies and 5 food for each member will make energy bar full.

I usually deal with it using the invigorate spell, after getting past 10 Magic Affinity it will restore 50% energy (for each use) AND will lower stress.

to hit, agility and speed is the most important, each agility point grants 3 spd, you can also use magic, it wont miss.

if you just started playing, the first few battles are the hardests, after passing this initial stage, the game becomes a piece of cake.

you should check if your slaves are with the lust debuff, it diminish they power and speed by a lot.

lv doesnt actually matter too much except for some bonus to defense and health, most races max stats by lv 6, unless you modify them in the lab, in this case they will max by lv 8.

humans are the easiest to hit cause they default max agi is 3, while beast/half kin wolf/cat/fox is 6 (sometime sinse I last played, but its around there) so you will find it hard to hit them with physical attacks. If you can get your slaves agi to 7-12, you will aways hit and only the strongests monster will manage to hit them.

if its dark greem, it means its high than 80, if light green, it means its almost 80, in this case if you heal them it will get past 80, like when you buy a slave to special request/quest, sometimes they have traits that will low the obe after buying, if you use their stats point in end and heal after their obe will reach 80 again.

you cant see stress it during the sex, it will only say "<slave> has become <mildful><completed> or is at break down point (something like that). The best way to get ride of stress is using invigorate AFTER you get Magic Affinity to over 10 (after some point, it will lower stress when you cast it, no sure how much MA its needed.. at least 8 I think), when in 12 it will go down by 18 every time you cast it. You can aways cast dream in case the stress is too high and you are out of options.

Lust will show up after arousal has gone up... not sure if it will ever go down during sex, I just got used to getting ride of it by raping defeated enemies. Outside you can click in the portrait to see both, inside the mansion I usually use mindread to see these stats.

I think loyalty raises a lot by making them orgasm... like this I can get even captured rebellious slaves in my group after just one interaction. The lewdness rises a lot  too, but cant keep up with loyalty. 

maybe just unlocking the sexual action and sending them to brothel may get it (not sure if they get lewdness there, but they should).

btw, you can get both traits (Devoted and Slutty), its just hard to get the slutty one. You can use the regression potion to get the piliable trait again. 

I once tried to get every stat up to 125, but stopped cause I couldnt get the slutty trait no matter what I tried... and cause going outside with slave courage base stat above 100 will reset it back to 100 (not sure if its a bug), so I got bored and stopped playing for a while >.>

its just that before last update, they needed to be entranced and raped to get "likes it rough" trait. So  I'm not sure if its intended or not. Humiliation gives (or using a tail) gives pervet, sm masochist and possibly dominance if the slave is the one giving. I didnt notice tools giving any trait.

some bugs found in my last playthrough

new bug - Slaves events happening when they are not in mansion (not sure if a bug). Like Emily grade is being raised in the slave market, but she gives the mission to rescue her sister, Ayneries getting a specialization, but still ask to recover her sword. Didnt get the print or save, but it should be simple to recreate.

new bug - Slaves are getting the "likes it rough" trait without being entranced or raped. (not sure if its a bug)

new bug - when in sex mode, slaves that get the wish "<slave> wishes to have her pussy used" it only fulfills using the vibrator

VERY old bug - ending a fight with auto-atk will mess up next fight. (mark auto-atk, kill the last enemie with auto-atk, start a new fighr. The moment you end the first turn two turns should pass without player control, the AI(enemies) will get extra turns) 

old bug - (since v5.22b at least) When fighting too many enemies (like 13 or more) sometimes they will overlap, like below: there are 3 enemies behind Bandit Leader 1

same fight, a little while later: there are now 4 (look at the log)

prints from v5.22b, but bug still in 23b

old bug - raping willing elfs with the "likes it rough" trait lose reputation with Ambeguard. (I dont really care about it, but I think it isnt supposed to happen)

old bug - after Ayda is recruited, when leaving her assistant  shop, Sebastian shows up in her place for a moment, like,  his image  shows up, but in the next second is gone.

not bug, but weird mechanic - Lab girl can be unassigned after making any operation, my meaning is, she should at least be there/locked while someone is undergoing upgrades... btw, it should have a limit of how many slave can be upgraded in one day.

it wont, cause the code to load portraits sucks. If there is too many portraits it will be slow.

maybe a auto-close thread feature? or a reward sytem to archaeologists?

or... or... or you can just click in the race name when playing. Remember you can add 2 poinst to str  and agi in the lab, and 2 points to magic with the beauty palor (is this how its called?  the tattoo/piercing upgrade). Strong, Quick, Responsive and Robust adds 2 points to str, agi, ma and end respectively, so the perfect killing machine would be a dragonkin free of negative traits and with all of these traits + lab upgrades to str, agi and skin armor(unique dragon race perk).

As of last version however, I think fairy/drow with 6 ma, +tattoo, can pretty much hit kill everything in the game with acid spit (except super golem and wyrm,  even so will take more than half its health), it doesnt even need the responsive trait and weapon/armor/acc with ma.

since one or two versions ago she became recruitable after you save her.

in OP case, he is talking of the bug:

to recruit Iris, he needs to talk with Ayda to get a cheat potion, but if you have recruited her, there is no one to talk with and you cant pass Iris chalenge without the potion. So it becomes impossible to recruit her.

I think  she goes back to Gorn after you recruit Melissa or kill her brother, so it should still be possible to recruit Iris after finishing main quest.

To fix it, dev may allow to talk to Ayda inside the mansion or let her assistant handle it in gorn.

usually the combat log  shows the action first (the slave and atk), and the defeated enemie. When "double atk" kicks in, it shows first the enemy being defeated, after it shows the "double atk" and who used it. The bug only happened after killing with the first atk.

This time it happened when  I used auto-atk too, I cant remember if it was the same back then.

btw, do you still need ppl to help with revising?

game STILL crashing with Ayneris sword double atk, didnt notice if it happens with the new cursed sword too.


hidden bandits bug still on - when going against many enemies, like the deep caves or marsh. Going by what TAR313 said, it happens in low resolutions, mine is 1920x1080.

little bugs -

when having sex with 3+ ppl, game  is getting too slow... like freezing for some seconds-minutes.

today a uncivilized slave with the tamer specialization managed to make itself civilized. not really a bug, but weird.

you can select the initial traits of your servant.

slaves from quests (like Cali, Emily, Maple ) has special and unique traits, ex Cali has Sturdy (takes less damage), Emily has Small Eat (eats less, like half) and maple gives you a bonus when selling slaves.

all of them will become grateful (no luxuty requeriments) after ending their quest the right way (like finding Cali parents less than 30 days after getting her, saving Emily's sister, buying maple, etc. If you fail to complete their quest right, their will not become grateful anymore.

you can get a slave to "submissive" after raping a lot of times a slave with "Likes it Rough" trait with the "entranced" spell cast on it, you can get the "like it rough" by raping a slave with "entranced"... at least this is what the code  says.

as of last public version (18d), I dont think is possible to get the dominant trait to a native slave without cheating. The only way I can think of is "breeding" a slave with the dominant trait, but I do not remember if mental traits can be inherited

I had reported this bug and others like two months ago.

Ray, its already way too easy with the current potencial, the slaves/char are way too op when max out.

you can use magic equips to enhace it, through equips you can get up to +4 for agi and maf (any elf sword, ninja suit with agi enchantment and a acc with agi enchantment/staff + magic robe with maf enchant + acc with maf enchant) and +2 for str and end (any armor or acc with str or end enchantment). You can get 2 more maf from tattoos.

not sure if there is aditional bonus in the last public version, didnt played much since then.

it will go away after a few days by itself... just equip maid and handcuffs  and they will work as well obedient slave, if it is branded captured status will worn out faster, if enforced silence is active, they will not make trouble.

1. bug with shield spell in combat. 

shield wont update the "armor" provide when recasting on someone. Example: caster1 has 2 maf, (lets say  it makes his shield armor 10), caster2 has 12 (shield armor 45)

caster1 uses shield at himself, his "shield armor"  is now 10, if in another turn caster2 caster another shield on caster1, the remaining turns will be updated, but the "armor" keeps  the same value of 10.


2. work bug

if using elixir of regression on someone already working on social jobs, they will keep working normally, even with the regressed trait.
Working slaves not showing up in the market nor the magic guild (like how they do in the brothel).

3. not sure if its a bug, but just in case

5 - courage stat going back to 100 if having it at 125. it happened after going out to fight/loot/take prisioners, I'd like to know if the base max is supposed to be 100 or go over it. if need I will upload a save after awaking >.>

not judging, and I know that the same word may have different meanings in others places. But where I live is not possible to have a person be "Slutty" and "prude" at the same time. So slutty and prude should conflit.

is kinda sad and weird that we need to make the slave lose loyalty to get the Slutty trait.

I find weird that rape actions makes loyalty grow even if the slave hasnt the "likes it rough" or masochist trait

oO I never used potion, and I aways get the ones I want at the same day using only one action, even the stubborn uncivilezed prude ones... kinda weird btw.

if there is gold to spare, going to streets is faster to build up mood.

I kinda think it needs more balance too.

4. if in the bedroom and mood more then half, after "slave is on intimate mood" appear intimate talk will not reduce mood. frensh kiss and touch needs high loyalty I think.

We are talking about a slave after all, they cant really refuse the master, however they will not let you kiss then during sex if obedience is not enough... something like "you can have my body, but forget about my heart" maybe?

above is gameplay exp, didnt check the code to it.

before last public update I was able to run the x32 ve with intel hd graphics, but after the update game will only start with the nvidia gpu.

running on a dell l502x,  540m 2 GB, when using gpu it may mysteriously lead to bsod, so I try to avoid using it as much as possible...  luckly no bsod in SFP for now.

bug / miscalculation (?)/typo (?) Laboratory

to any mods surgery, if maf is 0, it will be the default time, if maf is 1+, it will only take 1 day. 

ALL the others surgeries are not affected by maf, little calculation I did following the code for time: 

modification.time = max(round(modification.time/(1+assist.smaf/200.0)),1)

the surgery min time is 1 day, max 7

the max assistant maf should be 15, max race maf 6 (drow/fairy) + 2 (responsive trait) + 2 from tattoos + 2 (staff  with maf bonus, never got one) + 2 (magic robe with maf bonus, never got this either) + 1 acc with maf

days out = whatever is bigger between [ surgery time/(1+assistant maf/200) ] and 1

to get one day reduction at least 16 maf is needed, but shouldnt be possible currently.
dividing by 20 seems more reasonable, so someone may have mistyped... or just confused by the items calculation:

bug: stats keeps falling

Courage keeps falling every day/turn. when I noticed it was already going on for sometime, so I couldnt find the save before it. saveFile below the slaves I noticed and their "initial stat":

all of them got the "improve appearance" surgery, besides sharice all the others got to 100 or above base beauty. But there are others slave that got the surgery and didnt get stat reduction (see LittleDark). The other unusual thing I did before noticing the stats loss, was  to feed some slaves "Elixir of Regression" (to get the devoted trait) and send then to  slave guild or feed "Elixir of Clarity" after to get rid of regression trait.

wont be playing again till finding the cause and fixing it.

edit: little typo I found on laboratory.gd when trying to find the bug:

I nurtured a fairy with the responsive trait so I can have the best possible lab assistant, but when aplying tattos I accidentally put two natures ones... making me lose 1 ma.

as the title says... is there a way to remove/override tattoos? I mean in game way, if  to edit save or other cheat method, I'd rather find another fairy/drow.

interactions: 

mode:meet - is to unlock sexual actions, teach the slaves, get obedience and loyalty up, give punishment. Try first to unlock sexual actions, cause the others will be more efficient after that. I would give you a pass-to-pass, but it would be no fun, is better for you to discover the wonders of teaching slave.

mode:sex - gives you mana and loyalty, can only be used at slaves with sex unlocked.

mode:other - have fun discovering.

you will get to understand traits with time,  dont bother too much with it in the beginning.

I'd reccommend you use the girl with pretty voice as w - entertainer if she has grade of commoner or above.

and give the dark elf to the brothel at red light district or find another elf to give if you wanna keep it, doesnt matter if its male/female

endurance will add one more interaction point each odd number, like, with 1 end, you get 2 interactions, with 3 end, 3 interaction, with 5 end, 4 interactions,with 7, 5 interactions, you can only go past 7 end with items boosting it.

if you are starting, I recommend you do like this:

put someone to hunt... whoever has higher courage.

put someone to cook... agi and wits affects it, but its not much important in the beginning, this should be enough to keep you alive.

w - prostituition is the most lucrative work  at the beginning, w - escort being the second... but both need sex unlocked, this means, you need to have sex with the slave. Charm, end and beauty are the best stats to w - prostituition, if charm is 60+ and looks 40+ and it doesnt have any traits agaisnt (prude, monogamous, just mouse of the trait, it will tell if so) is worthy buying slave to work on it. It will rend you around 150g per day, the higher the stats the more you will get.

w - escort - needs grade commoner or above. If theres is no trait against prostituition, Charm 60+, Confidence 50+, beauty 40+ its worthy buying a slave to work on it.

remember to make then sterile with "services for slave" at the slave guild or just sell then if they get pregnant.

if you are luck to find slaves with str 2+ and end 2+  at the guild, you may consider buying up to two of them, so you can go out of town. If they can be used to the above work, use then, if not, you can aways put then to do something, just have fun there is no need to hesitate, at worse you will start again.

I usually find them to sales in the wimborn slave market, but is kinda easy to find them in Elven Grove... five runs should be enough for you to find them, though is called "elf patrols", you can find dark elfs, tanukis and drows... you will only lose reputation with amber if  you rape/kill (not sure about kill) or capture someone after saving them from wolfs, defeating and capturing patrols will not reduce your reputaion with amber.

mana is only a problem in the beginning... if you are running out of it, start raping enemies and having sex with your slaves. you can add 3 slave in each sex interation, if you have enough materials to create a aphrodite brew, you can havee sex  with all of them at the same time. I'd suggest that at the sex tab you mark "give" in you char (if it has a penis), and mark take to ALL the others... after that at the aba "fucking", just keep hitting any of the "fuck in turns"

you can add magic tattoos to your character to make its magic afinity grow by 2 (the others tattoo are useless to it anyway), along with bonus of items should add more than enough to heal... it will make invigorate give less stress, sedation and dream reduce more stress... and more.

if you intend to make another char, try playing with stats like: str 2, agi 2, ma 7  and end 7, you can add more str and agi later on, as of last public release magic atks can do more dmg than physical, plus I believe even if for the heal, invigoration and sedation starting with max ma is worthy. The more endurance you have, the more actions you can do, only let it on odd number like 1 3 5 7, or more if you wish to add equip, at each odd number you will one more interaction, with 7 end, you can do five meeting and five sex actions. 

if you are patient enough, you can change equip when ending and starting the day/turn to get more interaction points.

bug - two tamers civilized (is this a word? oO) the same slave. below Emilly is resting and Tisha is the jailer.

I atked Ooze 3 with Ayneris using aimed strike (probably.. else leeching or normal atk), the log doesnt show her atking, so the system may not have registered her atk, what seems to have crashed my game.

I spent around 15min or more trying to get a fairy with responsive trait, so I wish "fun" to whoever is going to revise it.

edit 2: it happened again, unfortunately after alt tabbing the game window closed, but this  time I noticed Ayneris had just used double atk, (her sword ability).

edit 3: didnt manage to reproduce, but noticed something... interesting:

when double atk kills at the first strike, it kills the enemy 2x times  first, after it writes the action. I remember the same thing happening without double atk too, though it aways happen when double atk kills at the first hit.

There goes my hope of it being something like a unique skill or class... :/, my first time playing I thought it would show the specialization there.

-_- *sigh* before,  to get battles stats while in combat, I had to click "Hide UI", then click above one portrait.

I had forgot to list changing the eye  color before.

some enemies are now hidden... autoattack can still be used to kill then, or skills when there is only one remaining.

the new button "take all" should be renamed to "take one of each". It work as it should to single itens, but will only get one when there is two or more. Like, if there are 4 corrupted essenses, 3 fluids, 1 dagger, 1 maid unifor, after clicking in "take all", 3 corrupted essenses and 2 fluids will be left.

120 stress doesnt cause any combat penalty/debuff... you can just ignore it and keep playing forever

Since I started playing, I have wished to know what the "?" in the portrait is for/means.

Master character gone from "Storage and gear" screen

dont know how it happened...

at the time I had done some modifications in the lab, all the enhancements (btw, almost killed my main char doing so, luckly I was missing two beauty potion and had to go out of lab screen :( ). Except the beauty one, all others was made at once. Added a "dragon tail". 

My char race is demon.

Char is still  showing up in the older files. Here are autosave1(after the bug) and autosave2(before).

since is still working normally on previous saves, I'm gonna try to fix the main save.

edit: turned out that duration got modified: away":{"at":"lab","duration":2}, I guess that whatever controls  gear/storage screen loading only checks if duration is > 0, so maybe this is why my char wasnt showing up  there, as my char wasnt away either, the duration coulnt reduce, cause I suppose slave needs to be "away" for it to reduce.

I tried again, but couldnt reproduce it.

in case someone else get it, you can fix by opening your save file with a text editor, use find (ctrl + f in most editors), search for "player", after that search for "away" just let it like: away":{"at":"lab","duration":0}, in case something else got altered.

I remember clicking in the new remove traits button, though there was nothing to my char there... /end edit


while we are at it and I am still remembering, Am I the only one that gets annoyed with in game saves being listed by alphabetical order?

2. buying spells in the guild allow slaves to learn it.

Acid Spit and Mind Blast are the only two dmg spells in the game if I remember right.

but you are right, it may be a bug.

the standard path is "C:\Users\userName\AppData\Roaming\Strive" both portraits and bodies files are there... if you are having troubles selecting a new path, you can use the default one, just copy the pictures there.

userName is the account you are logged into assuming you use windows.

so... which is the last updated version? just let a link in the first post with the name "updated" or something, it got me confused.

Since you are trying to keep the portraits together and as the game last public ver can auto-assign portraits, you may want to consider talking with maverick, so that the game load the portraits based in a standard name/structure, something like:

***race - **beautyRange - skinColor - hairColor **hairLength - eyeColor *n

*the portrait/body number, so that it doesnt get the same name... plus may use some randomness in case there are more than one char with the same characteristics

**optional/the standard looks range, like: unsavory, bland, average, cute/hairLength range: short, shoulder, waist

***the sex, just assume that everyone is female, if male, add the male word (something like: maleRace)

as of now is random, its kinda weird having females with males portraits and viceversa, hair and skins randomly assigned... to the developers it should just take a little work, like a loading function to do the trick.

weird... that isnt the error you are supposed to get...

you may have a corrupted file... kinda obvious, but downloading the game again should solve it. 

if you saved/are running the game from "c:\program files", it may have some permission problem, in that case, running as admin or changing the game folder out of "program files" should work.

after you get the "opengl 3.3" error, and if you are stuck with the dammed optimus technology, you may try the x32 game version, remember to run with the graphic card.

the actual version of godot (the striveforpower game engine) requires opengl 3.3, so if you graphic card doesnt support it, you probably cant play the game.

you may be interessed in knowing as of last public version, the game is auto-assigning portraits to the characters... like, all characters gets a portrait if you have any in the portrait folder. Though its weird when it gives a male a girl portrait and vice versa, and it doesnt care to hair, eyes, skin color etc, its still better than the black empty square.
