The animation and the main character are cool! Neat vibe.

Loved the SFX and the explosions! If there was more time, maybe some asteroids to dodge would add difficulty? I got second place by angling my ship toward the bottom right and holding W, leaving a trail of enemies I could kite and shoot. I also don't think the evolution screen was working. Every time I would scale one of the traits, it would turn red. Maybe that's a user problem XD.

Good job!

Thank you for putting so much time into analysis! You are absolutely right; we waited too long to scope down the game with the initial intention that more evolutions would be satisfying for experimentation. Thus we were going to keep the recipes hidden. But given that we didn't have enough evolutions to make experimentation feel worth it and after submission, people were struggling to figure out how to play (and validly so), we posted the recipes in an attempt to give an aiming goal at least while still hiding the stats to invoke experimentation hopefully. There was originally going to be a terrain, and blueprint upgrade system, believe it or not, *cries*. For the next jam, we will focus on one core mechanic and build off of that instead of scrambling to scale down at the last second and meeting balancing issues.

Thank you for your input and playing!

"This is very unfinished due to over scoping and literally one person programming so that wasn't fun to deal with"

I feel you ;_;. Even with a second programmer, we waited too late to scale down the project. Good job getting all this done on your own!!!

I'm unsure if there are multiple levels (I couldn't get past the first wave XD), but the concept is cool! I think this would be a very approachable game with a little more time and balancing. I have no idea how others were getting such high scores O_O. I resorted to drawing dots, but even that was readily breached by the red-squared menace.

I could definitely see me pulling out my phone and playing this when I needed to take a break and think through a bug fix. The effects and music are chill, while the gameplay is engaging and difficult enough to jump. Jump Chill!

The coding module concept was interesting! I was too bad at the game though and didn't get very far. Would be neat if there were more modules to build off of! But maybe there were, and I didn't get that far XD.

It took me a second to figure out the dribbling mechanic. Unexpectedly difficult! Feels solid!

UNCE UNCE UNCE

Good controls and variance to enemies! Maybe could do with a zoom feature, sometimes with the starter weapon I couldn't see my bullets. Good job!!!

The effects are so cool! Love the trailing lines, poofs, and color changing. Very visually pleasing. The audio might want to be turned down on the song though... I got jump scared by Nyan Cat XD.

The dashing and feeling of the game were awesome! I felt I could exploit infinite wall jumping, but wasn't good enough to XD.

We need Batman! Oh God, quick! Put up the...

*KSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Whoa, to arrive in the top ten without modifications! The Chubb's smiled upon you, oh heavenly one!

Many others have already mentioned the WASD input, which made it super hard. Was interesting trying a different convention of input, though! Loved the effects and sprite art.

Yarrr, recycle the cannon balls, mateys! Dem expensive, don't cha know! Fun timing element and nice to not have a time limit. Good job!

The effects are sooooo good! It took me a while to understand I had to hold still for the power-up to connect to me, but other than my little learning curve, the controls feel tight, and the smooth movements are really appealing. Great job!

The controls felt good, but would love to hear some more SFX! Like when reloading or the background music. Good job on the game!

SNEK

Really liked the laser telegraphing! I am sure it was time constraints, but an SFX would be awesome with it!

Fun potential for a puzzle game! If there were enough time, it would be cool to see more levels! Good job!

Live my Gleeb. Live long and Gleeeeeeb.

Love the simulation aspect! I think others already covered this, but I second that seeing the organism as it grows would be really rewarding to the player!

That transition effect is super cool!

pew pew pew pew pew pew pew!

This was a lot of fun! Finally, a chance for the bowling pins to strike back!

This game feels so good! I like the directional hopping and the effects. For a first-time game jam, you did outstanding! Keep up the good work :)

I can feel the PTSD of the soldier. The haunting sphinx, the man pointing at me, the lack of support for veterans. This may be too real.

Really cool effects! The camera movement not being centered around the evolving bug ship thing was an interesting mechanic; it played with my sense of location. Good job!

I love the chill vibes. Made me take a deep breath, then exhale quickly as I got hit by a skull meteor!

I love that nomming sound effect. It was very satisfying to see the little dinos run around!

Can totally understand and love the idea of animating with color the effects on stats!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

I like the chicken walker mechs! It felt a little rough deciding when to long press tactically vs run away. Maybe I just need more practice?

I really liked the particle effects of the flamethrower! I would almost rather the order of weapon evolutions flipped. Good job on the game!

My greatest achievement today. 52120 as GooseLover for the current high score! It's a good thing my wife had to leave for work or the number of honks might have cost me my marriage. Love GOOSE.

Trash panda is good panda. Panda of trash go boom boom!

It's so polished!!! The art is adorable!

Cool idea for a puzzle game! Loved the integration of pathogen evolution. My brain is too smooth to score well though XD.

our artists are so talented! It was a blast working with them.

understandable! In design, we wanted to add more splices to reward the player for experimenting with finding new Blubb unlocks, but we fell short so it can definitely feel more like a guessing game.

Tip: Each unlocked Blubb evolution alters the collective population stats in a different way! Try and remember the color combinations.

Thank you for playing!
