Thanks for playing and the kind words :D

Also for the bug reports <3 Super helpful to help us locate and squash them! We track all of our bugs on a board, so these go right on there!

Auto-rolling is an option I think we'll definitely look into as it's a pretty requested feature!

And speeding things up is definitely something we should do and daggers seem is a good example of a things that get's exponentially slower the more you have C: We'll think about that one for sure!

Hope you have a lovely weekend <3

Thank you for playing! :D

If you have any thoughts or suggestions we have channels for those on our discord as well <3

https://dicegambit.itch.io/dice-gambit-demo

After a year of working part time on our demo, we're finally releasing it to the public :D

Dice Gambit is a turn-based tactics game where you roll and allocate dice to control you characters, set in a neo-renaissance metropolis in southern Europe (Think medieval knights, meets Sci-fi, meets Italy). It requires some thinking, but I hope you enjoy it!

In the demo, you’ll fight your way through 6 missions with unique enemies including a boss fight, using 3 distinct characters with their own set of open-ended progression.

Please consider giving it a try, were a small team of 3 and are super keen to get some feedback!

Trailer:

Lets play:

Nice breath of fresh air in terms of controls. I desterately needed a retry button from the menu, or even just a retry key. It was a little hard to read what was going on, but overall the presentation was cute :)
Solid entry, good job!

It's a novel idea, pretty well executed. There were 2 major sticking points for me-- 1) Lack of Juice There were no SFX or music, which will enrich the experience 200% even if it's really basic, screenshake. 2) The camera was so zoomed that it was really hard to navigate, even turns i knew was comming.
But overall, good job, keep it up :)

Super Cool! Got 92 score. Was quite hard with the projectiles spawning faster than a shot charged up, to me, everything was slightly fast - from the travel time of the projectiles to the escalation. But non-the less everything was super clear to read and solid take on the theme! Good job :)

Aaaaah so cool, and calm! Love the music and calmness of the game! got 3304 score ^^
The only thing I didn't quite understand was the loose condition of the game and how exactly to prevent myself from loosing which makes it a cool experience, but something I'd find it hard to actually get better at currently. But great job, congrats on the submission <3

Awesome game, loved how the mechanic worked with the glide! The music was super loud though, glad you had a mute button :3 But anyhow! Good job!

Thank youuu <3

Thank you for playing and for the kind words <3

Thanks for playing and commenting! :D Glad you had the intended experience <3 I would have loved to give some more care to the music, but we were stretched a bit thin for time at the end, but I definitely agree ^^

Thank you for the feedback! <3 We wanted the character to be out of control, but still wanted the player to have agency so we left horizontal movement in, but didn't include a 'rest'/erase option :) Would definitely be interesting to explore if we continue to work on this!

Thank you so much ^^ Yours were really cool as well!

Awww <3 Thank you! I've just given it a play and it's really awesome!

Really great take on the theme! Awesome job, well done! If i were to suggest anything is that there were a slight delay on losing the key after releasing - I had too many levels with me ending with in front of the chest xD :P

Hehe , we went back and fourth between fewer and more actions. It was hard restraining ourselves from giving the player all the control of their actions, and maybe we tunnel visioned a bit too much on the 'out of control' :P Glad you liked it! Loved your game aswell! :D

Thank you for you're feedback! We wanted to character to feel 'out of control' but masterable but we might have skewed it a bit too much  to the uncontrollable side ^^ Erase function has been mentioned before and I think this is one of the features we would definitely look into getting in there! Possibly as a resource, so you couldn't just input exactly what you needed :)

<3 <3 We're very fortunate to have @NeroSassy on our team ^^

<3 Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it! The mechanic is a bit rough around the edges, but we wanted to hammer home the 'out of control' theme :)

Thanks for you feedback :)
We'd have loved to polished the gameplay more!

This was really cool, Well done! Music was awesome, game feel was on point! Wish I didn't have to toturialize every time i played and would have loved to see how far I got, like a score :)

Cool game, could use a bit of SFX but nice idea! Got to day 58 and locked up in prison for life xD

I'm really enjoying your game :D Really well executed, I like the idea that you're 'running out of controls' ^^

I love pickup you introduce as well! ^^ really clever!

haha crushendo xD My score was 9, but trying to replay results in more rejection lol (restart the game if you wanna try again). Funny game, well executed!

1495 score :D That was a lovely and polished experience, loved the sound design, was sad when the sound module 'broke' xD Really good job! This needs more ratings!

Cat chaos! I loved the theme <3 Wish the escalation of was a bit quicker, but super cool non-the-less!

Cool game hidden behind a bit convoluted UI! Art was on point! Really liked it, good job <3 If you have time would give our game a go? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

Wow! Really surprised and impressed. Neat concept, not overdone. This could easily be  a phone game! Good job :) I Agree with Jacques comment on resetting. If you have time would you check out our game as well? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

Haha, it's quite though even if you do have rhythm, so don't sweat it! 3/4 members of the team did an entry last year: https://sassynero.itch.io/parasite if you're interested :) Thank you for taking the time to play and comment <3

Would you say your movement was.... Out of Control? ;D
Sorry to hear that the game lagged for you though! But thank you for playing! :D

Glad to hear you liked it! We tried our best to do something original :) Thanks for playing! <3

<3 Thank you for your kind words!

I completely agree! Had we had a smidgen more time, I would love to have poured the extra energy into the music! Thanks for playing and commenting <3

Thank you for playing! <3

Cool little game, but takes a good while to make it go out of control. Made it to turn 144 w. 1815 points, and didn't feel super challenged yet :3 If it escalated a bit faster it would go from great to awesome! If you have time check out our game as well: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

Got 25 :) Neat little game, though I wish there had been some gameplay implecation of the theme! If you have time, would you give our game a go too? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

(1 edit)

Wow, brutal game lol! x) Had some fun, poor chickens! Really liked the soundtrack :D If you have time, would you give our game a go as well? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

I kept getting some quite obvious headlines, but in general, a well executed game. Liked the puns  lol :) If you have time, would you check out our game? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

Overall, a really cool game. Simple, but understandable, yet challenging. Good job, I have not idea how I'd complete the last level, but I had fun with the rest :) If you have time check out our rythm platformer as well :D https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904

I miss some BG music, even just some simple tunes would have lifted this game alot. I like the idea of gradually loosing more and more control, but the level design is quite confusing and hard to find your way around. If you have time would you give our game a go? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904
