Fun, difficult, and entertaining game! Graphics are quite nice in a clear/clean way and the colors are quite good!

Fun game, was actually quite easy, completed all levels in one go from second try.

Also I was going to rate it low on theme until I played the level 5. Because before I wasn't getting much damage and had no idea that my ghost is bigger when getting damaged. This is actually a clever mechanic and theme interpretation!

Also nice touch that there is a slow motion mode on last seconds of the level!

For some reason I see rockets and explosions on screenshots, but there were none in the game (Web build).

The difficulty ramps up quickly which I didn't mind, it helped make the game really fun to play. Fairly simple concept overall but you delivered on it well and it feels pretty polished. Good entry!

Simple and fun! In the beginning, I thought that the game was too easy, but shortly I realized that I was wrong :) However, there are quite some health items available, making it easier and the player experience less frustrating.

Nicely done!

This was really fun to play! The feeling of sluggishness as you get too big was a great mechanic. The music was also really good. Would have liked to see a bit more of a cloth simulation on the ghostie and mouse controls would nice.

All in all, good job!

Great fun! Loved the different enemy types & very direct "scaling" game mechanic.

Entertaining little game. Graphics look nice and the sounds complement the experience nicely.

Tho making the player scale up when hit is really annoying imo. If you get hit once in the later waves you´re essentially dead already

Very cool! The movements felt really nice and lended themselves well to the gameplay. It was definitely tough, but after playing many jam games that feel too easy I can appreciate that. One details for me is the audio could be given a little love, the BGM is dance oriented but doesn't have a clean loop, which would be really satisfying and keep the energy going, and some more aural cues for things happening in-game would be a great addition to keep gameplay more engaging. Regardless, really well-built and enjoyable game!

Achieving smooth movement and balanced gameplay in these games, even with few mechanics, seems easy but it's not! You nailed it perfectly. Very enjoyable and excellent interpretation of the theme. Great job!

Oh man, the 4th level was tough, but I did it

I appreciate the large amount of health and armor spawning.

The music was nice. (couldn't decide between bustin a move or bustin evasive maneuvers)

Fun little game! Things get pretty tough, but there's a lot of health so it seems to even out. I'm a little curious what it would be like if the player would shrink on hit instead of grow. Getting hit seems to snowball into more hits just because the player becomes larger and slower. This isn't a criticism though, I'm just curious how different it would feel. I like the base speed of the ghost as it is now. The graphics are simple, but effective. Nice work!

Nice and simple game! I liked that you added new enemy types and power ups during the game. And it looked pretty good :)

Some things I would like to be changed:
I thought there were too many waves per level. It felt a bit dragged out at least for me.
When the arrow enemy spawned they always pointed up, I think they should point in the direction they will travel.

Thanks!! yeah, I wanted to focus on having variety across the few levels I managed to create. Thanks for your ideas!

I encountered a slight bug after getting hit at the end of a level where my ghost kept flashing its hit animation of red and white. It fixed itself when I got hit again :) Addicting game play and it could use a sound when the player gets hit. Overall, Good work!

You caught me! haha. I found it the last couple of hours, but I left it there to prioritize other things. Thanks for your comment!

Thats a lot of work and creativity put in otherwise simple idea. And the result of really good.

For a game on PC I would prefare if player charecter was following mouse cursor instead of WASD movment. Might be a setting to choose at the start.

Developer

Thanks for your comment! I didn't think about the mouse cursor option, but it can be added yeah!

Very nice difficulty balance with the power-ups upon getting hit!  It's like Silver Surfer except fair xD.  Addictive too!  Music was good too, only thing I might suggest is add some sound effects.  For games like this, I feel like that's the haptic feedback before there was haptic feedback.

Great job!

Glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback!

It's funny!

I would like the Game Over condition to be expanding beyond the line.

Nice job!

This is great! it has everything it needs, but nothing more, which means it is perfectly scoped.

And I find the difficulty exactly right, it was challenging, but not impossible for me to play it.

Good work!

Great game! Simple but a good scope for this jam and well-polished. It does get very tough as you scale up and slow down, but you're also very generous with health, so it works out. Good music, too.  It'd be nice to have some warning when powerups are wearing off and maybe a brief warning of the explosion things before they can damage you.

Developer

Thanks for playing it and your feedback!!
