Hey TheCrd!
Wowza what an absolutely freaking stressful experience. I had an absolute blast playing this game!
I only have one note:
- I am not sure if I am supposed to be able to continue after selecting that I didn't want to be chased anymore or not -- game got stuck right after I picked that
- Also, like others have said it would be good to let the player know that you can skip the tutorial. Found out on accident that you could do it by pressing the spacebar.
What I liked:
- How absolutely freaking stressful it is to have to mash the living hell out of two buttons after hitting a rock, then seeing that big goober staring back at me in my rearview. Lordie I have never mashed two buttons so fast in my life.
- The music was super awesome :D
- Loved the art style of the game and the super simple but effective 80's styling. Aesthetic AF
Really really cool experience. Great job!
This was a very nice twist on the biking simulator genre, and I particularly appreciated the fact that there is a tutorial at the beginning, you don't often see that in a game jam. However, I'd recommend not having the tutorial play between each attempt, or to implement a skip function. This being a game jam, time is short though, so great job with what little time was available!
Hey there. I just wanted to let you know that HelperWesley on Discord is telling people to add the "gdevelop" tag in their games if they are made with GDevelop. Be sure to do that before the submission period is over.
Sadly I couldn't move, but looking back is a nice feature and the visuals were great!
I struggled to the keyboard input to work, but I want to play this so bad! The art is awesome! I felt like I went back in time and am playing on a computer in my den in 1988!!
This is why you shouldn't bike at night. A monster with a crab-like body and a giant head will chase you and try to eat you.
Really good all around, well implemented pedaling and steering mechanic, and very quick tutorial and premise.
Very well done!
Pressing space was the scariest moment of my life, great visuals, good job!
The visuals are insane, and the music is excellent, Good Job! :)
Oh my god this is sick, I wish I made it, so much style, great music, all around really super super super super super Cool!!!!!!
Super stressful. I like it when the rocks are flying at Mach 20 while I'm giving myself carpal tunnel only to find out its moved back half an inch. Great work!
Great game. Even if it's so simple, it's well done
Awesome graphics, good sound effects, nice gameplay and the first time when you press space bar...
I really liked the game
This is what I think perfect game jam game looks like.
Yes, it is simple, but it's finished, it's polished, there is even a descent onboarding that gives you a scare and is implemented in a whole structure of the game... Impressed! Top-notch aestetics too!
