To be honest you had a good set up there making me think I was going to be hunting people or something. Honestly shocked at the dad blowing up.

The sprites and audio lined up really nice.

Really good submission, well done!

Took a second to figure out how to set up the computer, but it was worth it.

Can't out clown the Ronald.

Seconding the mouse sensitivity comment, but overall great atmosphere!

Really gave me those scary vibes.

Great submission!

Really love the idea! It was fun to try balancing the wigglyness to the jigglyness and keep the cauldron from flying across the room.

Great job!

The background track was actually a nice touch and gave it a bit more oomph atmosphere wise.

The art was interesting and was different from what I usually see, which is nice.

I got the "escaped suspect" ending, lmao.

Overall a good submission!

Got screamed to death, lmao.

The sprite work was great! Glad you got to do your first game jam!

I received exactly one (1) jump scare exactly as advertised.

Good job!

The poor soul that I ended up burning ;(

Still, not bad to go 8 survivors and 9 monsters burned.

Really fun game!

Fun idea, well implemented for the 7 day timeframe. The animations were also pretty smooth and the UI was decent.

Good job!

Audio is good! Rushed to the exit like the other commenter, still was a cool little jaunt.

Well done!

Fun little prototype, loved muh' hitchhikers and the sprites were great!

Good submission!

Very brutal pixel art, well done. The atmosphere was great and the game has good transitions.

Found the thumbtacks too, nice touch there.

Great submission!

It was fun! The game in a game thing is always an interesting premise.

Very spooky and loved the fake out "look behind you".

Got soft-locked in the text game though sadly when I went "go chandelier".

Otherwise, very solid entry!

The platforming was on point and the saw mechanic was really good!

Great submission!

The ghosts turning the pumpkins into Jack O'lanterns was a very cute touch!

Good job!

The tank controls were actually an interesting choice here, they definitely add to the feeling of disorientation you might've been going for.

Well done!

Good going on getting some decent proc-gen done in a week!

Managed to finish the game and the final animation is definitely dramatic lmao.

Great submission!

The art was good, and the mechanic was interesting.

Good submission, glad I got to see it even if it's incomplete.

Well done textures and aesthetics, could've used just a tiny bit more direction but good nonetheless.

Great submission!

Really liked the little eyeball with the board guy.

The story is definitely good here, well done.

Also lmao at fortnite kid wanting spaghetti.

The CRT visuals definitely gave an additional layer to creepy sprite backgrounds, very good job on those.

The transition to the lights going out was also superb!

Good job!

Loved the doors.

The puzzle was tough but the giant (thanks) in the sky made it worth it.

Good job!

The aesthetic and tension building were really good, and the sudden push by the lights at the end definitely added some intensity.

Great submission!

Nicely done! Got the Bruce Willis ending lmao.

Removing fidelity from the map was a super nice tough too.

Well done, short but poignant. The font was a good choice, and the walking animation was surprisingly fluid. I ended up "taking it" at the end, and the choice was really poignant and eerie.

Good job!

Short but solid, good work! The crone sprite was also pretty good.

Atmosphere and pixel art was good, and the lighting transitions were done really well.

Good submission!

Wow, really good for a first game, well done.

My only gripe was I couldn't tell if I was damaging the boss, but I stuck it out and defeated my demons and got that cute end screen so it was worth it.

Can't wait to see how you'll improve!

Thanks for the comment!

Holy cow it seems people really want a downloadable, I'll be sure to put one up when the jam is over!

I tried to do a bit of buildup (it shows up on the ledge at the first turn) but I must've missed the mark there, I'll keep it in mind going forwards. We were considering a mech bob but the animation wasn't done in time sadly and we had to scrap that idea to get it done with the jam window.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks!

In some other comments I explained why I went with just a web build, but it seems a downloadable one is more necessary than I thought!

The kind words are super appreciated!

Thanks!

It was actually super fun to figure out how to do the subviewports in Godot to get the "seeing" thing down!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

(It's my favorite holiday!)

I'm really glad you enjoyed the vibe!

Thanks! It was a huge crunch (and I didn't get to polish nearly as much as I wanted) and I'm so grateful my team stuck it out with me.

Thanks for the comment! I was working on the button holds to increase throttle (as well as throttle decay) but it ended up being a tad bit more complicated than I had hoped and I needed to flesh out the other things before the window closed (controllers are HARD). I considered auto starting but I didn't want to jar players too much and I had some mouse capturing issues so I just went with what worked.

Thanks again!

The slow tension building was definitely one of the things we were hoping to evoke here, so I'm glad you vibed with it that way.

I was hoping to put more in the cockpit to "do" but I ran out of time in the end, like with the computer terminal entries.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! The audio team was super great on this project and they're really grateful for the comment!

I had initially planned to put an arrow for the leg facing (like in other mech games) but I didn't have time to stylize it well and took it out in the final build sadly.

Thanks again for the comment!

I loved Iron Lung, and the low-fi vibe many games are going for these days is super sick and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! That's exactly the kinda' feeling I was hoping to evoke, glad it came across.

Here's hoping the TI84000 is monster proof!
