- The theme of a search and rescue helicopter is a fantastic conceit for a game that we donβt see often. The narrative is strong and helps draw out the periods of inaction with navigation, which is a smart idea. The gameβs use of colour and shadow to convey the sense of environmental danger is fantastic, and the twist at the end was completely unexpected!

Controversial title but good game!
Great old-school aesthetics and a classic cosmic horror story! I think I'd ideally want the time between pick ups to be shortened a little bit, or an additional gameplay mechanic to be added. But overall, really great work!
Thanks for playing!
That's a nice "walk" simulator if I may says so haha! The end was quite unexpected, this guy has really long arms :o
Not the most gameplay-y game, but everything works, made me wonder what the thing was and even whether magenta is a real color or not. I feel like the purpose of this game is fulfilled.
Nice entry, well done!
Thanks for playing!
The gameplay was supposed to be more complex, with some navigation elements and some difficult terrain, but it turned out, that I had less time than I thought I would. What I did turned out ok, so I'm happy with it :)
Nice game, and funny title.
I always go for a good title- check out my other games if you wanna see some real good ones :)
Fun concept with good pacing and dialog to build up the suspense. Nice job!
I really worked on the pacing, so thanks for noticing :)
Solid cosmic horror short story.
Thanks for playing :)
What a fun little game and story.
Thanks!
The aesthetic and tension building were really good, and the sudden push by the lights at the end definitely added some intensity.
Great submission!
Glad you liked it!
I loved the aesthetic and the series of event slowly building up ! As some other mentionned, a little more sounds would have been a nice compliment but overall the main experience is really interesting and fun !
Thanks for playing!
I liked the story a lot and the cosmic horror feel too. The gameplay was pretty basic and easy to understand, which makes sense since this is more story-based. The helicopter sound was good, but it would've been nice to have some other ambience in the background so it didn't stand out too much. The ending was also really cool. Overall, nice game and great story!
Thanks! I get pretty consistent feedback, and I'll definitely work on sound more in the next game.
As for the gameplay. I initially wanted more out of this- more complex navigation, some difficult terrain, landings that take more effort than pressing 'e' :) However, life happened, and I decided to polish stuff that I already had (time the dialogues, improve animation and camera movement in the last sequence, really go hard with light effects during escape) instead of adding more.
I really liked this. The gameplay is really simple but fun. The animations are clean. It has a really fun and creative title and I really like the ending. The game could use a bit more sound in my opinion, but thats about everything I could think of.
And I have to agree, my game is just a prequel to your game :D
Great game, keep it upβ₯
Thanks for playing!
Accidental sequels are the best sequels :D
Really fun ending and a very creative name, good job on the game!
Thanks, I always try to go with creative names for my jam games. Glad you liked the ending :)
I liked the ending visual that I'm not going to spoil in the comments.
I agree that the noise of the helicopter was a bit much -- even having some background music to go along with it would have helped
Yeah, I'm pretty proud of the ending :)
Thanks for playing!
Great visual style, I enjoyed the short story and especially the ending cutscene, short but sweet. Flying the helicopter was simple but the world was laid out well so the experience was enjoyable. Agree with others that more sound would help flesh out the experience but very nice overall.
Thanks :)
That was what I was going for- short and sweet, with a little WTF in the end :)
I added this to other comments, but the sound gets slightly better on windows version. Turns out the web player doesn't handle certain effects.
Graphics are very nice, I'm a big fan of the ps1 style. I think the game could definitely use more sound than the helicopter though. Overall, pretty nice!
Fun fact- I failed to check my game on web build, and now there is only the helicopter sounds. In windows build there are some additional effects once the MAGENTA starts, but turns out the web player doesn't handle them :(
Graphics looked great and i really enjoyed just flying around before i got into things xD
I really wish I had more time to get into flying mechanics more- oh well, I'll try to make a flying game for some jam in the future :)
Good job. I really like the PSX graphics, gave it a nice analogue horror kind of vibe.
Yeah, seems lately PSX equals horror, so I decided I have to try it out for myself :) Seems to work!
Interesting story and I loved the art theme. I would work a little bit on the audio and SFX (my ears hurt a little after the helicopter sounds), also it's a little hard to understand the objective at first. Great work!
I worked on how to make the objectives easier to understand almost till the last minute, and I'm glad I did :)
Thanks for playing :)
I like the storytelling and how the shockwave manipulate the visuals and my control. Impressive work. :)
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
Story is good, and I liked when m a g e n t a showed up. That was really cool. Final thing looks impressive and dialogues are good. Buuut audio is... Painful. Helicopter's chirping was very loud and annoying :( Everything else I liked!
Thanks for playing!
I like that you liked the things I focused on the most for this jam. The audio though... not the first game, where someone says I didn't do great in this regard. I think I need to collaborate with an audio guy next time.
I'm not THE audio guy, but I think I'm not bad with audio and voiceover (check my game if you're interested) so write me for collaboration if you'll be interested :)
