Nice work. Seems like a solid start. I'm assuming it's procedurally generated, which is fun to see.

Only thing I think it needs is more stuff. Monsters, inventory, etc. But it's solid from a movement and digging perspective.

Really solid concept! Loved it!

Terraria started in a similar state :)

This is a good start to a game, and of course it needs a lot more content added to make it more engaging.  You may consider adding an inventory so the things the player collects can be stored somewhere or consider adding enemies so there is some sort of danger in the world.  Don't want to trek somewhere where you might die!

Assuming the code you have so far isn't too messy, there's a lot of room to expand your game!

Terraria been real silent since you dropped this masterpiece :)

Nice controls and a good remake of terraria. Some more gameplay would be nice.

very cool game! i like the gameplay, even if it ocould be more fast paced, also found a bug where chests can float

overall good game, good bugs, 10/10

EDITS: i tried uploading an image for he floating chest, but itch doesn't like uploading imagesjsut by copy pasting

Hey, yeah the chests appear randomly, I didn't have time to add proper gravity etc to them.. That's why I just made the player be able to add blocks to reach the ones that are  not in the sand. Thanks for your comment!

Controls are nice, gameplay could be more fun. Would love to see some technical details around this :)

It's a good game. I think you solved pretty well the map generator mechanic. I was expecting to find different kind of chests, maybe different color and values. Good job!

For a first game jam this is great, you got some pretty interesting core mechanics developed in a short amount of time which is really impressive! you finished the build and uploaded in time for the deadline too, you didn’t break the game by trying to implement all those features you had planned, this is a huge success!

As for the features you do have played I imagine they will make the gameplay feel much more fun, with some more time and polish you an create a pretty solid game :]!

I really like this, it's pretty good per se, and it's also a great starting point for updates, like adding enemies, powers or even pickaxes that give more range! Hope you come back to it and polish it even more!

Good game.

nice game, especially for your first jam!

Neat submission. And one that definitely fits the theme too.

I'm impressed you managed to implement a cave generation algorithm in the time constraints.

Would like to see how you develop on this base game in the future.

Well done for making the game in 48 hours!

It's simple but seems quite functional and pleasant. Pretty impressive for your first game ever, especially given that it was made in a short game jam. Good job!
