Really satisfying gameplay! Loved it!
Thank you!
Amazing and really impressive. This is my favourite game for gameplay in all the jam. The sound effects and the decorations around the planets are really good. You even manage to do a larderboard. If I were to suggest something to add, I would have liked some power-ups to change the shot's quality, for example, making it wider or adding traps to make you lose some time. Really well done!
Wow, thank you for the high praise! Its great to hear that you enjoyed my game so much.
Adding powerups sounds like an interesting idea. I'll look into whether I can implement some before the voting period ends.
Thank you again for the feedback and kind words!
Neat that you added a score leaderboard to a jam game! Definitely made me give it a couple more tries! (currently sitting at the top with a score of 679200 😎)
I'll admit I don't entirely know what I was doing or what most of the planets specialties were, but I had fun I think lol
I also experienced the transition to the opposite direction that others reported.
Congrats on getting to the top of the leaderboard!
On the planet specialities and scoring, I'll be making them a bit clearer in a post-jam release of the game. Also, I am happy to report I've found and fixed the transitioning in the opposite direction bug.
Thank you for the feedback and encouraging words!
neat game
Cheers!
Very interesting game with my favorite space atmosphere! I really liked destroying planets.
Happy you enjoyed the game and its spacey theme!
Great gameplay and visuals.
Thank you!
The gameplay is fun and almost addicting :)
The different kinds of planet types and room modifiers is a lot to take in all at once so I didn't really play strategically and just kept annihilating planets and switching rooms arbitrarily^^
Happy you had fun!
Yeah, its quite a lot to take in, and honestly you can currently get by just randomly waving your mouse ;)
I'll be balancing and releasing an updated version after the jam
Thanks for the feedback!
Very satisfying game :D
I enjoyed playing and destroying planets in a satisfy way to get more scores <3
the only think i didnt understood is, why when i click on the right room it takes me to the one on the left, and when i click on top it takes me to bottom and bottom takes me to top <.>
Overall, great game !
Thank you for the feedback. Glad you found it satisfying and enjoyed the destruction!
The clicking to enter the next room and then being sent to the opposite room is a weird bug that I just could not fix. Happens when you click at the very edge of the Screen. Thanks for reporting it, I'll try and fix it in the Post-Jam release of the game.
Interesting idea, I only learned about the second rules page from reading another comment, so definitely would be good to make that more obvious! I tried focusing on planets, but mostly holding the click and swinging wildly seemed to yield the best results, which made it feel a bit less fun, would be good to reward precise/strategic play a bit more!
Thank you for the feedback.
I agree I need to polish the How to Play screen.
Precise strategy is what I was originally aiming for, so I will definitely be changing how scoring works in the post jam version (probably some variation on scores getting exponentially bigger as the combos increase and maybe penalising hitting planets of different colours more).
Thanks a bunch!
Pretty fun concept, I also love that there are online leaderboards for it! I'm not sure if I understood the idea of the scoring system that well, because I tried focusing on one color and maximizing the multiplier but that gave me a score that's *way worse* than just letting it rip and destroying everything. Would be nice if multipliers were exponential to encourage being more careful.
Also it wasn't obvious that the rules page had a 2nd page, the button wasn't super visible. I then ignored the rules and ran straight to grey exploding rooms and got 600k. The idea is super neat but unfortunately it's not very balanced. Great game considering the time though!
Thank you for the feedback. Happy you liked the concept and online leaderboard.
I definitely need to explain the rules better and make the page 2 button clearer. I see that is a common theme in feedback.
Your idea about exponential scores sounds good, I will most likely add that to the game after the Jam ends. Will definitely make the game be more like how I envisioned.
Thanks for the constructive criticism! It's very helpful.
270k good game
Cheers!
Nice and fun! Engaging and can be a nice training for shooting game :)
Thanks, glad you found it engaging!
took me a little while to understand the scoring system but great concept when it clicks - so the more of the same coloured planet i click the higher the multiplier? should i be only picking one planet colour at a time in order to maximise this?
Thank you for the feedback.
I agree that the Scoring system is a little complicated/not quite properly explained at the moment.
There's actually quite a lot of ways you can play it. Generally, Picking Green and another Planet colour is good (Green doesn't negatively affect other colours combos).
As a mobile game, it could be a really enjoyable game. I especially wanted to add vibrance to the explosions!
Thank you for the feedback.
Yes, it does have mobile game vibes. Might consider making a mobile version after the Jam.
Will also consider making the explosions have a bit more oomph.
It would be great!
Fun and intense game! The leader-boards are a good motivation to keep playing.
Haven't figured out the exact scoring mechanisms and best way of playing in first few rounds. Should I destroy one color and then move to next room or clear each room one by one? Perhaps for the players to figure out ;)
Nice to hear you enjoyed it!
Honestly, I have trouble working out the best strategy myself xD. I think a good strat is to focus on the Red or Yellow Planets and their respective rooms, then get any greens you see too (as they don't have any penalties for destroying them). I forgot to put in the How to Play that in each room Planets of the same colour spawn more frequently (2x I believe).
Thanks for the feedback!
We used the same assets haha! This was fun and i loved the partcile effects when planets pop!
Thanks, I spent a good chunk of time creating the particle effects. Nice to know it paid off!
This is so fire, I love the gameplay it's very addicting and satisfying, however going with the exploration theme you could have added more things to find rather than different colored rooms, it would have been cool to maybe find some spaceships bouncing around or something as well when you get a certain distance out or something.
Thank you for the feedback.
Yeah, my submissions weakness is definitely related to the theme. I was orginally was planning on making the map a maze that you had to find specific room in to get a highscore, but ran out of time.
Happy to enjoyed it!
Fun and engaging arcade game! The gameplay is very satisfying.
Glad you enjoyed my game ;)
Pretty cool! Interesting idea about mixing the rooms and the planet destroys + combos. Very impressive for 24h!
Happy to hear it!
Nice game
Thanks!
