Thank you to everyone who voted on this project. I have posted a new build version with some improvements based on your feedback.

Really fun series of puzzles. The game is well polished, and the animations are very smooth. Nice job, 5 stars!

Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks for playing! I agree, in hindsight and with a lot of feedback the controls are quite poorly made. I've made some changes in a new build I'll upload after voting has ended.

thanks! Ive also fixed the inversion and added an option to invert in the settings.

Incredibly polished game. 5 stars, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and the level of work put in with all of the levels is unbelievable. Loved the unique mechanic allowing you to grow and shrink.

If this were published as a full game with a bit of narrative I would buy it on the spot. It's a unique concept and I think it would be a great platformer.

Thank you! Originally I was hoping for more interactable discoverable objects like broken rovers you could repair and use, but alas the time constraint.

Fun to drive around exploring!

I found the controls a little jerky, maybe using a car controller tutorial instead of a character controller would be a better choice in future, but they are a lot harder so I understand why you went with the latter!

Visuals were nice, however I think you could change the camera's near clip plane to prevent the weird effect when buildings are loaded in and cut off.

All in all good submission!

Probably the most polished game I have seen on here. Impossible to fault, 5 stars.

If you were to continue working on this, it would be nice to perhaps read logs from the space stations with a bit of story about how the previous ships died (or vanished?). Maybe even some combat with some space pirates or aliens.

Some way to replenish health would be good too, but probably not needed unless you're an idiot like me who doesn't check their oxygen and bumps into everything :)

I just have, nice submission!

Thank you! I'll do the same.

thank you! The camera twitching is due to a cinemachine bug in 2.8.9, but it is now fixed in a new build where I updated to a later version.

Okay, thanks! I've changed the axis and solved the jerkiness issue.

Thanks! I've added an invert option in a new build I'll upload once voting is over. Thanks for playing and rating!

Nice controls and a good remake of terraria. Some more gameplay would be nice.

UPDATE : Turns out there is a bug with Unity Cinemachine 2.8.9 when the camera becomes very jittery, which leads to a difficult camera controller. I've fixed it with a Cinemachine package upgrade in a build that I'll post once voting has ended, along with some QOL and performance updates.

Hi all!

Firstly congrats on completing your games!

Here's my submission if anyone wants to try it out https://itch.io/jam/kenney-jam-2023/rate/2183280.

Just try not to rage too much as it is quite challenging ;)

i tried it, nice job!

Really nice game! Movement was very smooth, impressive for a game only made in 3 hours! Obviously the gameplay is very short but concept wise it is great!

UPDATE : Turns out there is an issue with Unity Cinemachine 2.8.9 where the top rig of the FreeLook camera becomes very jittery, which lead to the behaviour you experienced. I've fixed it with a Cinemachine package upgrade in a build that I'll post once voting has ended. Thank you for noticing it!

Haha nice job! I reckon if you hadn't bumped that bit at the end you would have done it in under a minute!

Nice game, graphics were very nice. I like the depth of field effect, it makes it very cinematic, but as ogulcantopsakal said a disable option would be good. Also, the movement did look a bit weird with the player at times, may need to increase the turning speed.

However, the story was very compelling!

Fun idea, but I found the camera controller gave me a headache, and I had to stop playing. In future it's better to move the player and get the camera to follow the player, rather than just moving the camera and parenting the player to it. Adding colliders to the player and objects is also very quick and I feel would have made the game feel a lot more polished. However, I did enjoy finding the out of place objects!

Really beautiful islands!

Definitely deserves to be one of the highest rated game on here. Design is very smooth, including the animations. The gameplay is fun, maybe a little repetitive but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Nice take on the theme! It was fun to use the logs to place the structures. Well polished and although it is a bit simple, it is very easy to play and fun.

Underrated submission. A lot of fun looking for oil reserves and upgrading my ship. Visuals were nice also. Really well done!

Well polished, exploration was fun and controls were simple. 5 stars!

Fun game, like mine it's quite rage inducing but that makes it very addictive! I struggled a little with the controls, personally I would prefer it if they were relative to the direction of the ship, however I got the hang of it(although not to the level in the gif like how on earth do you do that). 5 stars!

Really enjoyed this game! The story was compelling. As others have mentioned it became a bit repetitive as you can only skip at the end of the message. Having the dialogue play alongside would be better. All that said it was really fun!

Thank you!

Very impressive for a project made in such a short time frame! A lot of gameplay, well designed levels and a lot of exploration. UI was very clean and well designed. 5 stars.

Really fun game! As has been mentioned I love the inspiration from Limbo. The volumetric light effect was also very cool. Only change I would like is for the player to move a little slower, it was hard to control with all the sliding. Otherwise fun, exciting game!

I would love to see this extended into a story game like Limbo.

Nice job! Really enjoyed exploring and finding the keys, and it was very visually appealing. I did a similar story for my submission also!

Thanks! Once the voting period has ended I'll update this page with a hotfix, thank you for the feedback!

Fun game, the controls took a bit of getting used to but eventually I got the hang on it. The gameplay is quite repetitive and there was no end goal, which was disappointing. Otherwise well done!

Thank you! What did you find challenging about the camera, so I can make future improvements?

Thanks! I'm working on an update currently where you can use the satellites to scan for the locations of the remaining fuel crystals, as it can be frustrating when the final one is hiding behind terrain.

Thank you!
