Woah what, thanks for the feedback. Could you tell us a bit more? If you don’t know exactly what happened, maybe what was happening before that or something?

so i was on one of the ledges, i picked up one of the things that beats up the hero and threw it at him at the same time as he got to me and i was launched pretty far and i just disappeared, the hero stopped moving completely and was just walking in place while the camera moved towards the right

i was also holding right and jumping at the same time this happened.

thats basically it

Haha, bonus creativity point for abusing itch’s custom noun in the best way possible! Game was really fun and I loved both the humor and the art; the ending in particular was perfect! I think I would have liked actual villain health and a losing state, but just making sure everyone gets to see the ending is may have been the correct choice. Very good entry!

The cutscenes remind me of WarioWare and they add to the charm of the game! I also like the exaggerated movements of the characters--the throw especially felt good to use. I wonder how you push "playing as the villain" further... Maybe give the player some control over the level layout, like levers that can raise platforms or create pits. This was a polished and fun entry!

Wow, those graphics are amazing for a jam this short! The music and sfx go very well together!

Great game ! Love the cartoon feel of the art and the various traps, and the increasing desperation and over-the-top-ness of the attempts. "up" key would have been more intuitive to use to jump, especially since it doesn't seem to do anything else

Loved the feeleing of running away from an unstoppable force. Sound of setting of my traps seemed to sync up with the soundtrack, and I love players idle animation.

Only problem I had gameplaywise, was that I tought that traps, robots etc will also hurt me on touch, so I needlesly tried some pixel perfect jumping on narrow platforms with those objects. After I knew they were harmless, the best tactic was just keep pushing right and sticking to the right side of the screen. Feels like game would benefit with player having some more respect for the right side of screen, if it could also spawn some traps to slow player down.

And thus I conclude my feedback sandwich, congrats on cool entry!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Though I couldn’t understand very well the last bit about your tactic being “pushing to the left”. Pushing what, or who? Is the villain who should respect more the left side of the screen?

oh snap, I meant the right side of the screen... I just meant that there sometimes could be something dangerous ahead of player, apart from constant danger behind.
