You need some feeback from the punches, wheter you've been hit or not, and maybe the score in the corner or something. Otherwise cool great, cool graphics

Interesting game and very pleasing visuals!

Great game! It feels almost rhythm-esque, like you're trying to hit notes, which is fun. I like how it's synced up to the music, which only adds to that feeling. A bit more visual feedback on what counts as a hit, and maybe a UI indicator on how well I'm doing during gameplay would help a lot in making the game feel satisfying and responsive, but besides that, everything else works. Nice job!

I am pretty face

Best husbando in the jam.

I love the begining cutscene, epic entry my friend :)

Please. Yurga-chan, he is just here to be punched in the face. You make him blush.

Really cool game idea! Love that it shows you the changes on the face over time. Would be cool to have some more feedback when the player gets hit. YOU ARE PRETTY FACE!!

That's my favorite game from this game jam so far!! Idea is super fun =D Good representation of role flip! Also I'm a big fan of rithm games and I adore that you make "bullets" fly with music flow! Great wok!

Really appreciate the kind words. Thank you so much!

My face is made of STEEL.  I took 500 punches and just needed a bandaid.

Developer

That’s the special face defense +2 bandaid. Makes it super hard to get to the rare missing teeth face.

I'd love one of those if our health care system wasn't so borken.

This is my favorite entry I've tried so far???? You all knocked it out of the park with the concept, and I'm really impressed that you programmed bullet patterns in a 48-hour jam. I think a few additional polish items like screen shake or SFX when you hit a bullet would have made this a perfect entry for me. Fantastic work.

Great feedback and so much praise! Thank you so very much.

You're right on the nose. We wanted to shake the player portrait and telegraph successful hits that way but responsibilities got in the way of a nice chunk of me and my compatriot's development time. I was personally worried that a rapid fire sound effect would get in the way of the music or be overwhelming but there's something that would have worked for sure.

Thank you for noticing the patterns. I was up very late at night hammering that one out.

I really like this, it's so cute!! I like that it feels kind of like a rhythm game.

Developer(+1)

We wanted it to kinda be a rhythm game. I was up all night working out the spawn sequence for the projectiles so this comment makes me feel seen!

Did you get an A rank or better score? I bet you did you A+ gamer you.

Arigato gozaimasu!

It's definitely anime/Japanese arcade inspired. It's hard to approach the genre's we mashed in there without it. Thanks so much for the feedback and playing!
