Great game, good job

I got stuck here, shortly after getting to the bouncing material. My guy just kept bouncing up and down at the bottom of the screen.

Overall pretty cool game, I just found it a little frustrating at times. It was most fun when I could keep momentum and bounce quickly from platform to platform.

Developer

if you get stuck at a section, you can look at the play through video to see what comes after

nice game really liked the bg and the sprite art in general.

I broke the game there and got stuck couldn't do anything at all. in fullscreen mode you some times get the character to close to the bottom of the screen so you can only do very small pulls to get jumps had to play in small mode a few times because of that. Other then that good job on your game. probably will do good on both jams you submitted it to.

Developer

you can pull anywhere on the screen and also you can press middle click if you get stuck to respawn at the checkpoint.

Submitted

I meant the screen view would be near the bottom and so was the character so pulling down in fullscreen didn't work since it would only let me pull down a little bit so exited fullscreen so I could pull the mouse past the screen view.   I totally forgot about the middle click to reset though sigh.

Huh, that might be a bug. That shouldn't be an issue because the distance of the jump is calculated with in-game units as opposed to pixels. I'll try to fix if I do a post jam update

Amazing fx; the sunlight shining through the level and explosion when you touch the flags were really great touches. The gameplay was fun and a little rage-inducing but in a good way. I have nothing bad to say about this game, amazing submission!

Great game fr but it doesnt seem to be made specifically for this jam. Its also submitted to the mouse jam which appears to have ended at the same time as the mini jam but was 3 times as long. With something like that idk if I can rate it fairly towards other participants.

I realize it could've been the other way around

Developer(+1)

hey! I started late on the mouse jam so I could also do this jam. This game was made in the timeframe of mini jam, I only also submitted for mouse jam because the end dates were similar.

Wow you two, has anyone ever told you that you have a bright future ahead? (no pressure). This felt like a full-fledged game, the amount of polish is insane and the level design is on point (considering the game is meant to be challenging). A few physics mishaps aside (that may as well be my own fault for knocking myself at corners), this is a jam masterpiece. Great job!

Also, the chopper sequence? Super cool!

This is a fantastic game, it feels like a fully fleshed concept that could truly become an iconic indie title if done right!
Unfortunately, for this MiniJam, I don't think it was presented well enough for the Health theme. It feels like a flavorless (very impressive) tech demo.

Developer(+1)

I didnt bother crunching more to add health, as for mini jam the theme is entirely optional. I included the limitation though

Absolutely amazing!

I like the effect!!! the music, and the game as whole. Took me sometimes to realize that the character is a guy holding on to a platform

LOVED the presentation. art is awesome and music is enjoyable. It took me a bit to understand the mechanic, but once I did it was just fun but a challenge. Incredible amount of content for a 3.5 day jam, too.

i really like this game

awesome love the particles for when you get to a checkpoint.

The sound design makes me feel so sticky!
As a fellow mountain climber, I say nice job :D

This is some high quality stuff! The visuals are phenomenal. The mechanic with throwing the crutches and the slow motion is quite neat. Very fantastic work! One of the best no doubt if not number one. I really appreciate that the shooting calms down a lot after you die a couple of times, otherwise it would have been super challenging to rush everything to the peak under gunfire.

Excellent game overall. Good job!

WOW! My favourite so far! Everything seems right and fair. I got stuck in here, but maybe I'm noob.

Developer(+1)

Remember that wooden platforms make you bounce, this entire section is about bouncing off wooden platforms. Try and find an angle you can hit to bounce onto the rocks where you can stand on. Glad you enjoy the game!

EASIEST, and I mean THE EASIEST 5/5 so far. What can I say man what can I say. The polish, absolutely outstanding. The animations, the prodecural grabbing of the hands. The sfx. The mechanic (very similar to what I wanted for my game tbh), you basically just made the game that I had in my head BUT BETTER.

I only played a short while cause at work rn. But I feel the difficulty is very fair, it's got a learning curve but that creates satisfaction. I wish it had a timer to speedrun how fast I can climb the mountain.

I will probably come back to add more to this comment later tho, but so far outstanding submission and possibly my favorite enty.
