Interesting idea, I liked the 2D/3D juxtaposition, and the platform building gameplay is cool but the water rises so fast that it's difficult to react.
I like intro in this game and graphic of main hero. The idea with drag and drop platform is nice and funny. Mix 3d with 2d surprising idea :) I found a bug with sticky to the side of platform. In the next try, I jumped and put the platform above me, so I can make like 400 points. Also, I check time and I waited for the acid something like one minutes. I love the music :D
The acid rises pretty abruptly. It felt like I didn't have time to orient myself at the beginning of each loop. The art, music, and concept were good tho
neat game I was like why did I die and then went oh the red platforms kill you so never did get very high up since those silly things kept popping up and slowed me down enough to let the water(stomach acid?) get me
I really liked idea, it's very original. But playing with a trackpad, I don't have time to drag and drop platforms and jump before it's too late. So my score is like 2 or 3 haha the idea is neat and needs to be polished.
Wah.. Thank you for playing... I got less than a day (Maybe like 19 hour) to make this game, and this is the result. Planing on polishing this tho, but I think after I got time for it, maybe later. Once again, thank you for playing
Really like the graphics and presentation! Little confusing at first understanding you could drag and drop the platforms. Also found some bugs with getting stuck on the side of blocks. Great work!
Thank you for playing. I'm still working on those bugs
Nice idea, but I think that it is a bit strange to carry out, it would be nice if there was a bit more to it gameplay wise, such as a reason to use red or blue at times.
Yeah, at first I want to make the whole lot of platformer, but It got cut because I have no time to implement it all.
Interesting idea but the best strat seems to be just jumping and placing the block directly below you.
Also I feel like it would be better to have a 2d background for the intro, especially for a game jam
The 3D background is intentional honestly. We just wanna test our skills on 3D assets. The graphics was aimed to be much like World of gumball (2D and 3D randomly), But it seems our texture didn't blend pretty well. Still, I think this is enough
The way everything is put together in this game is really enjoyable.
It felt that there could be a connection made between the red and blue blocks and what they could actually represent in the context of the game (something antibiotics for blue and anti-reflux pills for red?? ;D not sure)
The intro scene was absolutely cute-tastic. I loved it!
Thank you for your reply!
I'm not sure I could get this game to work? Every time I played I encountered a different set of bugs. I think it has potential, and wanted it to work. The camera work, the assets, the music are all very enticing. But, mechanically, the game just didn't work. I either could infinitely jump on the water with no platforms spawning, or could not jump at all and just died instantly every time the water came up. Not sure which or if either are the intended experience. There was also a blue/red bar at the top of the screen that didn't move or do anything. Was this supposed to be something?
I loved the character, the dino, the intro screen and what I think was the intended mechanic of jumping upward to avoid the water. Just left wishing it worked. I'll be coming back to try again for sure!
Sorry for the bad experience. The game still has a lot room to improve.
The movement controls fell pretty nice and responsive. It was a tad bit counter-intuitive at the beginning to avoid the blue platforms and jump on the red but I soon got the hang of it. I made it a total of 35 meters on my second try!
Thank you for playing, and for your feedback!
