the difficulty spike on level 2 made the game way less enjoyable considering that we have a lot of games to go through.

Use of the limitation
The limitation was very lightly incorporated since the colours did not match my gam every well. Colours from the palette can be found in sprites such as cats, bowls, and a background for one of the levels.

It was interesting to see someone implement the ² as a limitation. I enjoy puzzle games a lot - even when this one was particularly very challenging, as others have said as well. I got as far as level 4, but it was pretty cool to try and figure out the puzzles. Oh, and I love how the cats look, nice job on that!
Also, for a first game jam, this is seriously amazing. Good job!

No Such Thing As Too Many KittensAs other have said lvl 2 was a very large spike in difficulty but once you figure out how to stop the cats from moving to pile them up was easy enough great job on your teams game.

The Cats RealmGreat concept. I messed a bit with something similar once when I duplicated my player by accident but I never thought about making it a full game. I like puzzle games, but the gap between the difficulty of level 1 and the difficulty of level 2 is a bit too much. Once you find the solution it's great though, but it should have easier levels

Kitty GolfI know, sorry about that. I got confused and thought the theme was "Cats²" and not "Cats" and the way I implemented the squaring messed it up but if I knew it was just "Cats" I would have created 10-15 levels and gradually increased the difficulty although I do know I could have made it a bit easier.

C.A.T.Intensity of the jump spam trying to stack the cats + the music fitting the concentration too. Really love the concept, but got stuck trying to solve the game without the walkthrough. Really generous having the walkthrough too. Colours were great also!

Catscout AnnieThe idea is awesome, I love puzzle games and this is a nice, clean concept. It gets very hard, very fast, the thirs level feels intimidating with how many cats it has from the start, but that's okay with gamejam time limitations :D I would play more of that!

Forest KittyYeah this is a very challenging puzzle game indeed. Had to watch the walkthrough for level 2. I managed to beat level 3 by myself, but then got stuck at level 4. I think major part of the challenge comes from having to spam jump to make them stack in a certain order. The conecpt is quite cool though and the graphics look neat. Well done.
