Fun puzzler with some nice presentation :)

really enjoyed your game! I haven't seen one quite like it yet. very creative and kept me wanting to play more! good job.

Great job! I had a very similar idea when brainstorming and I think you executed it really well! It's a catchy little arcade game. Would've been nice to be able to use WASD as well so I can use my right hand for the mouse haha But otherwise, no complaints!

Developer

those controls will be in the update after the game jam. Thanks for the feedback!

Developer

I have updated the controls now. Also uploaded different builds too.

Awesome game, obviously had Tetris inspiration but felt more like Klax to me, which I absolutely love

Developer

OMG I didn't even realize it! It is like klax!

I guess my retro mind combined Tetris, klax and dice haha

Loved this one!

This is an inventive arcade game! The concept of the game was creative, I like the overall retro aesthetic the game has like you're playing it on an arcade machine. My only feedback is I think that re-rolling the dice should be done by pressing a key rather than having to catch up to it with your cursor. Other than that, well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you liked it.

Another person mentioned the cursor being too much as well. I will have to brainstorm how to use a key on the keyboard. The issue would be how to select the die you want to roll again.

Developer

I have updated the controls now. You can use the WASD keys and that will make using the mouse a lot easier for right handed people.

OMG this was amazing.

A few points for improvement. Having to click the die to reroll it, is very impractical bordering on impossible at the later speeds. The score for the 1 is way to high in comparison to how easy it is to do and how useful it is in clearing the play space. There also seems to be a bug: if the one is covered on top, bottom and either left or right, then the falling die on the other side triggers the one, even though the falling die position is not next to the one. Also, it is a very small game space to be working with, especially in the height.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback.

The clicking on a die is suppose to make it difficult to do and I'm not sure how else I would implement that.

After actually having time to play test it, I agree that the 1 score is way to high. I sit there waiting for a 1 to build up.

I will look into that bug some more. I have attempted to recreate it and I don't seem to be having the same issue.

The game space was picked after trying out several different widths. Having only 4 columns gave the game some difficulty that was really lacking when there are more. If there are 6 columns then you can just place each die in its own column and be done. With 5 columns you can almost get away with that most of the time.

Again, thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I will try to recreate the bug later. With game space, I would say that the width is good, but the height felt really limiting. I would suggest looking at how one or two more height would play like.

Thinking some more about it, the scoring of 2 through 6 is also a bit off. Getting six sixes is exponentially more difficult, but per die the score is equal. Now going only for low numbers gives the same score as going for high numbers while being far easier.

Here is the bug reproduced:

Developer

awesome for sharing the video. I know exactly what is causing that and how to fix it. Thank you so much. When the rating period is over I'll be releasing a bug fix and windows, Mac, Linux, and an android version. The android version changes the layout to fit a portrait mode but it is much better because it's all touch and can be played with a single thumb instead of keyboard and mouse.

Developer

I have updated the controls now. I fixed several bugs. At least I hope so. I can't seem to reproduce any of them anymore so that is good.

Also uploaded different builds too.

Developer

Updated scoring too :)

Cool take on Tetris! The art and music accompanied the game quite well. I do wish that I could use WASD since the game used mouse controls, but otherwise it was fun and intuitive!

Developer

It has already been added for the update that will be released after the rating period is over.

Thank you for the feedback!

This is a really great game! I really enjoyed how it wasn't too difficult and I was able to enjoy it without having to start over constantly. This deserves a spot in top 100 in my opinion!

Developer

This will be in a future update. I've already changed that timing.

I will be updating the game after the rating period. I will also release a Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android version. The android version looks a bit different to include touch controls.

Great fun! A match-the-blocks game never even crossed my mind when brainstorming ideas for this jam but it actually makes a lot of sense. Needing to match the the number of blocks shown on the dice (needing to match 3 "3"s, 4 "4"s, etc.) is a very nice touch. My only suggestion is that the dice could roll for a little less long while determining your number. Good work though 😊

Developer

I used your suggestion and have updated the game. I have updated the controls too. Also uploaded different builds.

Sweet! I'll have to check it out 😁

Great concept. Decent execution. Neat presentation.

I wish I was better at tetris-like games, but regardless this is an overall really good take on theme!

Developer

Thank you so much. This is the first time I've really made a game for others to play and my first time every making something so quickly.

You did great! You should be really proud of yourself! :D
