Super satisfying gameplay and the concept is really authentic

I had a lot of fun solving these puzzles. Great and challenging game!

Great game, perfect amount of challenging that I felt smart when I completed each level but never so difficult that I got frustrated with it. Looking forward to seeing more from you!

I absolutely adore the visuals, how simplistic the design is yet conveys so much! It's not only really pretty, but It was such a creative take on the theme! Great work :D

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words, as a newbie pixel artist your feedback makes me very happy!

nice little game, I like the desert setting and how satisfying the sound effects feel.

Developer

Thank you! It's my first time making game audio, so I'm glad I did a good job!

really creative especially with the preview mechanic, i'm somewhat guilty of doing a similar mechanic in my game and honestly never thought to do it lolol u also got a good balance with the puzzles and it looks great. of course the only thing missing is maybe an undo button

Developer

Yeah, definitely the next thing I would've added if I'd had more time! Thanks for your feedback!

Saw something this like 7 times now.

I guess that's what happens when thousands of people try and make a game based on a kinda specific prompt. Thanks for the feedback.

A very engaging puzzle game. The entire concept of being a "dice" beetle was really fun. The puzzle were also thought out and it was neither too hard or too easy in my opinion. Don't know if it was intended or not but it was quite hard to keep focus on where the beetle symbol on the dice because I kept forgetting which number corresponded with what but I did enjoy the extra challenge of remembering the placement. You made something creative and engaging in just two day. Good luck on the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment! I agree, keeping track of the positioning on the dice was a challenge that I had intended to be part of the game, but I hoped the mechanic of pressing space to view the sides helped mitigate that somewhat, at least enough to make it challenging rather than frustrating! Thank you for your kind comment and feedback!

Very nice puzzle game and good mechanic.  I enjoy it.

Nice little sokoban dice game, well done!

There are a bunch of similar games in the jam, but most don't implement a way to see the other faces of the dice, which I'm glad to see, it makes the game more enjoyable.

Good job on this!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! That was one of the first thing I planned, I thought it would make a big difference in getting the game to skew more towards 'fun and challenging' and less towards just 'frustrating'.

Really nicely presented game. I've seen a few of these "roll over the dice" style games. I'm finding them frustrating more than anything else !

But I love the "Space to Reveal" mechanic. How good is that? Helps you plan your route.

Clean graphics too, make for a really good effort in 48 hours.

Great job! Apologies that it's not my type of game. I still love what you did though :)

Thank you for giving such great feedback even though this isn't you type of game, I appreciate your putting in the time to do so!

Amazing puzzle game! I love the art style and the and the music brings it together to make a really fun, relaxing game! The mechanic of getting the dice onto the dung bettle tile is well made and the game is just overall really fun to play!

Developer

Thank you for such a lovely comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Cool puzzle game! It’s quite a challenging one too. I found myself restarting often when I got the dice stuck in a corner - gotta think carefully about where you move! I was able to move a dice diagonally, not sure if that’s intentional?

Developer

The diagonal movement was not intentional, but I could only replicate it in situations where you could move the dice vertically and horizontally to the same place in two moves regardless, so I figured it was harmless enough! I think if I decide to elaborate on this one post jam, I might try implementing an undo feature so you don't have to restart after a single mistake!

This is a fun twist! We're used to associate dice with randomness, but putting it completely under the player's control is a creative way to incorporate the theme. It was quite challenging, and I sometimes had to use a physical die to wrap my head around the moves. Is that considered cheating?

Developer(+1)

I don't think it's cheating at all! I used a physical dice a lot when making it to make sure the code was working correctly! Did you use the in game functionality to see the different faces (pressing space) and the physical dice as well? Or did I not make it clear enough that it was an option? Either way, thank you so much for taking the time to play and comment!

Submitted(+1)

I did, but it was easier when I could also look at the physical die. It guess that will be different from person to person.
