good concept!
but i think the jumping was a little bit too floaty and i really liked the death animation
next time i would delete the player and instantiate a player die version (which has the rigidbody pixels) , like currently it most likely be the reason of the low framerate yk
Very cool! The concept is awesome, and it's fun to have some backstory from the itch page. I wish there was music, and the movement was a bit more fine tuned, but it's still an awesome game!
I think the concept for the game was pretty cool, having multiple characters in the same world with different properties. However, the movement felt a bit off to me, and the graphics could use a little work. All together, this is a really fun idea though! I like the particles.
The jump is a bit weird. It felt too slow sometimes and too fast in other times.
There should be checkpoints so when you die you don't start over.
The convention in platformers is that you can press W to jump, so this game should have that too.
to make the jump less floaty , you gotta change the speed in witch the character jumps with , when going up you go slower( gravity is lighter ) but you fell down faster ( gravity is stronger ) you can do it by changing the gravity settings , if you're using unity's regidbody . it's not the most realistic thing but it's a little tric that all platformers do to make the jump feel better .
the level design is a bit confusing , I got lost a comple of times , because it just very samey .
I believe I encontered some bugs because I was able to attach to walls with the sphere and got to the end of the level with it ( by climbing the walls ) and it didn't trigger the end of the level . So I was confused about the point of having two options when the shepre is obviously suporior but now I get it it's defenitevly a bug .
but not gonna lie it was fun to play especially jumping through the very tiny platforms . the game idea is very cool , the execution is just a little lacking ( witch is understandable since this is a jam game )
The jumping is a bit weird, but good game! You did great in just 3 days, I love the endings too.
I think your jump is too floaty, but besides that, I loved the ending. What looks like the family going after the unwelcome guest among them also looks like greeting the lost member of their family. Clever reuse of animations, which is great when you only get 3 days.
Like the idea of being able to pick an ability before you see the level. The horizontal movement was a bit fast too. But other than that good job!
I liked the idea of the game. My favorite thing was how the cube died splitting into a lot of smaller cubes XD
The WebGL version is a bit laggy in my browser ( firefox).
Anyway, good job!
