This was a lot of fun, such an athletic little slime! The shooting animation is hilarious, and even before full flight was unlocked it was funny to just keep holding Jump, bounce and fly up ladders. The bosses were really easy, but didn't seem to out of place with the light tone. The grey enemies were a nice surprise, normally I'd be irritated by camouflage like that.

Some minor bugs: Going back through the Grand Agonizer battle I fell off the world (though I'm not sure exactly how this happened). Generally fading everything, not just the background, near the biome exits means that it's possible to hit an invisible enemy there. The power icon shouldn't overlap one of the health hearts.

That was really cute and enjoyable!

The sprites could be a bit bigger to show damage taken by enemies clearly and such. I liked the addition of bosses. The first one was great at checking out firing mechanics though the second didn't really bring anything new while he could have used the newly unlocked ability, but that's a gamejam entry so it didn't lose any stars from my vote with this and absolutely deserves a high spot in the ranking.

I had a lot of fun, especially since I haven't landed once after unlocking flying. I'm sure you can figure a fun way to use it in platforming or puzzles in future projects!

Cool, first time I don't like the way to climb on ladder but later I really like this XD this like I fly and it's very cool, this game is so chill, not too hard but have enough interesting to play, I like you simple art and big map with different areas. GG!

Great controls, and I love the different biomes. The flying  mechanic is so cool, and the experience is real smooth. 

The bosses were super easy, but apart from that, this game was a lot of fun. Good job!

Yeah, glad you liked it, i had a pretty major case of burnout at the end and it really was a pain constantly replaying it and balancing. Ty for the feedback.

It was a really enjoyable experience. The art is cute and the movement feels fluid. I like the last upgrade, it feels so empowering to get access to the entire map at the very end !

I wished the bosses were a bit harder though. They do not attack as much as I would have wanted. But it's not a big deal !

Very well done! The art is sub-slime :) The controls are smooth and fun. There are enemies and a good bit of variety of levels. I could see a whole game of this, so of course I want more!

The only thing holding it back is sound. I’m sure that’s not news to you. I guess also fix any bugs - of which I only experienced that one area you can get stuck in (of which you’re not really stuck as you can just spam jump to get out - so very minor).

It would be so awesome if you would try our game and tell us what’s holding it back! That would help us tremendously! Thanks!

What I liked

  • The art is fantastic. Everything is consistent looking even with varying biomes. Huge kudos.
  • Boss fight camera was pretty cool. I'm a fan of the zooming out as the distance grows between player and boss.

Suggestions/Feedback

  • Sound. That feedback to the player is so important, whether its damage, attacking, jumping, etc. I can almost guarantee this will be the most consistent feedback you'll receive, so I would definitely keep that in mind in the future.
  • There is a bug where you can get softlocked by exiting the second boss room and trying to enter back in.

Overall, you have a fantastic looking entry. Congrats!

Fun little game you made here. I think the best part of it is by far the movement. Climbing ladders in particular was very satisfying and I'm glad you added an upgrade that turned the whole game into a ladder. 

The lack of sound is a bummer because it could have elevated this game so much. 

The artwork is great and the whole game is looks very cohesive. I like the dithering when changing area. 

There was one part where I thought I was softlocked, but I managed to escape with spamming the jump button. Aside from that the game felt very polished.
