How does you game fit the theme?
I suffer insomnia, which is worsened by screens, being connected, etc.
I wanted to make a game about that moment when you are trying to sleep but something still pulls you and keep you awake.
The game is about that moment. About counting sheep in this dreamy physically impossible world. while being distracted by social stuff.

I'm sorry about being windows and no audio.
I literally submitted the game 2 mins before the deadline.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes! 100%
Sadly I didn't have time to add sound or music.

Great game concept! Inverted sphere really does feel dreamy so kudos for coming up with that. Nice touch with the slow-motion when jumping over the fence. Nicely done!

Developer

Thanks so much!
I'm about to play yours (I'm sorry I won't be able to rate)

Really great concept! Would love to see this refined :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm on it :)

I really liked the spherical world, it really helped make it feel like a dream. The graphics are good but it's just missing some animation from the sheep. Audio would have helped bring the game to like. That all being said, the game was pretty fun, I liked it!

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing it and for the feedback. I'll try yours!

Developer

looks like we are both about to get those last precious votes! good luck!

Submitted

Yes, thanks for helping out! I made it! Good luck, I hope you get there as well!

The idea was very good. i like the world !

but if you added some music and some narrating voice or something and you added different levels the game would've been more fun

Developer

Thanks for playing it and for the feedback!

Rated! The gameplay is really innovating and fun, but I think the lack of audio made the experience a bit bad.

I love the level, how is looping, and how the likes and the media are falling good work anyways!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing it and for the honest feedback!

I'm working on a much improved versions (art, sounds, bkg music, levels and mechanics).

Really fun concept had lots of fun playing would definitely like to see what you created in the future

Thanks so much!

I just played yours and left a comment there :)

I don't know how people can sleep watching sheep jumping in fences, that was action packed XD, nice job!

Love the concept! This was really fun! The design of the world being in an orb was really cool and clever. When I got to the cat photo level though I couldn't get past the likes to jump the big fence, there were just too many in the way. Also, it felt like some of the fences didn't register as jumped when it seemed like they should have. Overall though, really great game! Good job!

Developer

Thanks!

Both true: I have to fine tune those fence colliders (but since the space deforms, it's a bit trickier) and I didn't have time to playtest the levels much so they ended up being too difficult. I'm glad you made it all the way to the cats!

I really like the game. Unfortunately i wasnt able to finish the last Level :( There were just to many likes and i just got everywhere stuck. Sadly you dindt added anny music. It would make the game experience much better.

PS: Im pretty sure you can still add some images to your Game Page.

Developer(+1)

Oh wow, I completely missed the edit button up there (first game uploaded here!). Thanks so much for the tip!

Developer(+1)

I just added the images!

I'll be adding music and sound in the future. And I made all the levels in one hour so I didn't have time to playtest. I'm happily surprised that you made it to that one (there's actually a nightmare level after that, which I think it's impossible).

Thanks for playing!

Developer(+1)

I'll play yours tomorrow!

Submitted(+1)

I mean I reached the Nightmare Level xD I tried to do it 3 times but failed it always. Its baucause you cant ramp up speed after you jumped the third time over the big fence.

This was a fun game. I love that the game progressively gets harder every level with more challenges. Seeing you make all the assets from scratch, rly great job making this game in just a week!! ^^b

Hope you can update the game to add some audio and polish it even further after the jam!! looking forward to it!

Developer

Thanks Plapipus!

I definitely will keep iterating on the game :)

I just played yours and left a comment there!

I can safely say that this is the one and only game I've played that had me play as a jumping sheep. Nice! Loved the slow-motion effect, lol.

Developer

Thanks for playing it :)

I'll try yours!

Very nice game, I love how each level progressively adds more things to make it harder to win, mimicking how it feels to sleep sometimes. The responsive controls also enhance the experience! Honestly great work on this one.

Super Fun Game! I love being a little sheep that just hops over fences.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot!

I'll try yours soon!

The gameplay and idea are quite unique and fun! I like the concept of having to maximize the speed bar in order to jump higher. Also, that cat is cute.

I just think that you need to add some details to what's currently in the game:

- Some texts are blurry and can get optimized by using the TextMeshPro component.

- The sheep has no animations.

- The fences have no collision.

- A game gets significantly more immersive if you add SE's and a BGM.

Another advice that is not related to the game itself, is to build your Game Jam games in Unity WebGL. This way, people who don't feel like downloading files (which is a majority, I believe) will definitely play your game!

Lastly, finishing a game in just a week is really hard, so congratulations for getting past this challenge!

Developer(+1)

Hey Johnny!

Thanks for playing the game and the detailed feedback.

Yeah, I found out about TextMeshPro at about 3 hours before deadline and didn't have time to change the texts on the bar.

Animations, SE and BGM, yeap, no time. I will keep working on those these days.

Fences collision. I had those before, but I removed them since I felt that they messed up with the pace of the game. I'll playtest a bit more time.

Thanks Again. I'll try yours shortly!

sad to hear no music - but still, great job! :)

Developer

Thanks Kev!

I'll add it eventually.

I'll try yours shortly!

Unique idea.

Thanks! :)

I'll try yours soon.

I just played your game, and here's some feedback if you wish to continue developing it:

Use TextMeshPro instead of the default unity text, it's prettier.

Avoid presenting text too big or in a way that the background makes it harder to read. Use panels behind it!

Add audio to important events like passing a level, jumping or hitting obstacles.

Learn the base of shaders in unity and improve the looks of some objects.

The core mechanic is fantastic! Keep going with it! I stayed up until 6 am playtesting my game, and I know how it feels like to invest yourself in something like this.

Developer

Thanks Radkii!

I definitely have to do all of that.

Shaders is my weakest, but I'm planning to learn as much as I can ASAP. I will just google for books / tutorials. If you have any tip on good sources just let me know!

Thanks again for playing the time and the detailed feedback!

I'll play yours soon!

Developer

I'm sorry about the poor description and that there's no image.

I literally submitted the game 2 mins before the deadline.

I really loved making this game and I will probably continue working on it for one more week (redoing art completely, feature tuning, level redesign, music, etc), so any honest feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and I hope you have fun playing it!
