Well that was a surprise at the executable's launch.

I think for its scope the game got everything it strictly needs. I don't have much else to say, it's quite neat: the art, the gameplay. and the HUG key.

I included this game into my Jam showcase video!

multiple windows thing is super neat, fits nicely with the idea of wandering through stacks of junk (the detritus of my desktop) in a way

can hug midair/10

Glad to see possibly the most forgotten pairing shown.

It's cave story with a dedicated hug button. 10/10, game of the year!!!

Okay, in all seriousness, this is an adorable and fun little platformer. The whole window splitting idea is very interesting, although it does not provide much for the gameplay other than blocking your view of the entire level, I think this concept is worth exploring further if you want to. I do enjoy my time with it even though it is short, and the controls may feel floaty, but to a person who played cave story this feels right at home, you can nailed an entry despite working within just a day.

I think this was very cute! Took me many tries, but it was very nice. I'm a fan of games that do unique things with the window
I do wonder how easy or difficult this would be to stream

Ohhh, this was neat. As soon as I realized my screen wasn't screwing up, I really liked the window effect that was going on. Along with the Kirby-esque health balancing, I would love to see this kind of thing expanded with more opportunities for mechanics.

I think movement is a little too floaty in that I ended up hitting some spikes I shouldn't have, but it wasn't really a problem for me what with the length of the game, the health-sharing, and the surprisingly competent AI platforming (minus getting over a couple of ledges). Also helps that it's a pretty looking game.

It's cute and good and all that, but too short to satisfy me.

Also, something to reflect on: is the split window visual effect a good idea? It's kinda cool, but the first thing I ask myself when starting a new jam game is something like "is this game broken?", and I wasn't sure what to think here.

That’s an insanely cool visual effect that works really well with concept. First with Fantasytaker and now this, you’re really freestyling on us by doing stuff THIS GOOD in a fraction of the time a lot of us spend.

many thanks, the multiple windows thing is something i was thinking about for the recent gmtk jam but ended up not finishing anything for, i saw there was an extra day on the touhou one and i thought "i bet i can punch something out real fast if i am really sure not to overscope" and for once i managed to not overscope

massive respect to you and everybody else who was jamming for the whole time though i wouldn't be able to keep it up for more than a few days

Man even when you only spend a day you always manage to create something really cool.

thank you i had thought i wasn't going to participate in the jam until the very last day when i magically generated the idea
