Track 3: Boss Hallway
Track 4: The Boss was Charles Mingus this Whole Time
Message from the artist:
I wrote this soundtrack with a light-hearted RPG in mind. In the time I had available, I was only able to make tracks that I believe would appear towards the beginning and the end of the game. I hope you enjoy! :D
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Track 1: Title Screen — I felt that the track fit the visuals of the sunny mountain horizon shown in the picture theme. On top of that, something about that image (maybe the slimes?) made me feel obligated to use the melodica in my soundtrack.
Track 2: Exposition — Every journey needs some darkness and mystique somewhere. I imagined that my game would reveal a taste of the secrets it holds at some point in the beginning, playing this track while showing the player text and imagery to set the player up for what is to come.
Track 3: Boss Hallway — I imagined that the mountains on the horizon of the picture theme would contain a powerful boss. This track serves to both intimidate the player with its dark timbres, while also congratulating them for making it this far with its triumphant melody.
Track 4: The Boss was... — It would be a disservice to the light-hearted picture theme to end with a brutal boss fight. My game ends with a friendly battle with American jazz pianist and bassist, Charles Mingus
