Great game. One thing I would add is a reason to move horizontally, because right now the best strategy is just to stay at the back left of the screen. Maybe the blaster pickups could appear in random places on the screen and you have to move horizontally to get them. Just an idea. Overall it's a great game. Fun art and animations and I loved the ridiculous number of blasters you get by the end. Good job!

The arts great. It was a bit laggy for me but that just might be my computer.
So cool bra i think that this style is so strange that i've fell in love with
Man, awesome game, straight to the boss battle! I love how the pickups just kept adding guns to the ship, absolutely great touch! And the bullet-hell was also just enjoyable to begin with.
I absolutely love how over the top the ship gets with upgrades! The music and the art were pretty good too! The ending was obviously kinda rushed in time for the Jam but I loved how you handle it with humour!
From the ridiculous sun bicep drawings to cute doodle cutscenes and flat/deadpan UI's, it came together very humorously and fun.
Good job :D
That was amusing and a blast to play.
I think the text needed a bit more polish, the capitalization in the explanations was a bit all over the place, and the handwritten text of the cutscene was a bit hard to read.
Aside from that, though, I was amused by the drawing style, the sun's animation (BEEFY ARMS!) was great, and the increasingly ridiculous array of weapons was great too.
The sun giving up a little bit in caught me by surprise and made me laugh. I imagine there would have been more phases if you'd had more dev time?
All in all, great work!
