I like the main mechanic of launching you medallion, but I felt frustrated using it because I never could get the hang of it, and never could predict were it would land. I don't know if this is how you see the difficulty in your game, but if not maybe having a way to visualize at least part of the trajectory it's gonna have would help a lot. And then it was a bit more frustrating when I landed my medallion wrong because of that and had no way to get it back, except die and restart all over again.

I really think this is a cool idea, and it doesn't need much more for it to be really enjoyable in my opinion.

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely will consider a trajectory system in the future, and am already working on a fair retrieval system.

Nice game. Nice music, nice mechanics. I like it.

A few points of subtle critique from my side:
1) The sound for player and enemy movement was a bit annoying. Maybe lowering the volume or removing it entirely would be better
2) I think it would make it better if the player could get medallion back at any time. There were moments when I would accidentally send medallion into a wrong place and would be forced to blink into my death.
3) idk if it was you who actively disabled fullscreen mode, but accidentally clicking outside the game window was quite annoying.
4) mb for the background (which is nicely done) it would be better to change cell size from 16px to 14px to get rid of all those gaps between squares.
5) I think physics can be slightly improved - if you stay still and blink to your medallion in the mid-air, you would instantly start falling due to gravity, which is correct, but doesn't feel right. Maybe adding part of the speed of the medallion to the player speed right after teleport would make it feel better.

Thank you for the feedback, I definitely need to work on some changes with the medallion and I will work on making the tiles seem less like tiles and more like a fluid background. Currently, you can enter and exit fullscreen using CTRL F, however I would certainly like to make this into something changeable manually using UI in the game (along with making the hotkeys more obvious). Regarding the footsteps of the player and enemies: Were the footsteps too loud, or too monotonous?  Either way I will look both into less repetitiveness in the footsteps but also how quieter or softer footsteps sound. Once again, thank you for the feedback. It pointed me towards issues I had not even considered yet.

Hm, I think they were too loud. Also compared to the the chill background music they created a beat that was too fast for the background music, making it kinda awkward.
Btw, while replaying your game, I thought it would be nice to have a sound for teleporting to the medallion.
Also I managed to escape the level if you find the sign "Hitting an enemy with your medalion kills them" and to left, there is a spot on the map you can put you medallion to get out of bounds: https://imgur.com/a/uQf2yzu
It is very easy to reproduce.

Thank you for bringing this bug to my attention. I will see what I can do.

Really fun game! I like the medallion concept a lot. My major criticism is that the only option after I've thrown the medallion is to take the teleport. If it lands on spikes then I'm just totally screwed, and that's a super demotivating feeling, haha! And the momentum transfer during teleporting felt a little weird, it didn't always behave like I was expecting it to.
But other than those two things it felt really good to play! Good polish, liked the music, great work!

I have gotten a lot of negative feedback on the medallion retrieval, so I will definitely look into a n improved retrieval system. I would like it if you elaborated on how the momentum transfer during teleport felt off to you so I can try to improve. Thank you for the feedback, it helps me improve as a game developer and keeps me going!

No problem, I love giving feedback!
I think I was expecting the momentum to go in the direction the amulet was thrown. So if I built up speed falling and threw the amulet sideways, I could launch myself sideways, if that makes sense. I just didn't feel like I could anticipate how the teleport would interact in a way that was consistent enough for me to make use of it intelligently. I'm still not entirely clear on how it currently works, which makes it really difficult to engage with - especially when it comes to solving puzzles using that mechanic.
Hopefully that helps!

I apologize for not having clear mechanics on the medallion, I don't want the player to feel lost when using it. I think your idea for how the medallion should work is interesting and something I should definitely look into. I think it would make the mechanic easier to understand and lead to some interesting puzzles.  I can't overstate how helpful your feed back has been!

No problem, glad to help! If you continue development on this project, I'll be excited to see where it goes!

Oof, this is a difficult game. One of my initial comments is: I shouldn't have to push a button to read the signs in this case (because then I have to guess which button to press, lol). I should just be able to walk in front of it for it to appear.

Other than that, it's a hard platformer, with a mechanic that adds to the difficulty, but does indeed make it interesting.

edit: Also, it would be nice if there was a way to cancel one of my throws, so I don't have to live with the consequences of wherever I accidentally end up teleporting to.

Thanks for the feedback! I know it may not seem like a lot but this is really helpful. I had fun making this game and so far intend on taking it further, so I will take your consideration in mind.
