Very interesting concept! I liked the overall story and the art. The controls and UI were a bit clunky and didn't always align with what was happening. I hit the dialogue about there being eyes on the whales before I even saw them, so that was a little surprising. Would also love to be able to have a setting to change the text speed--I'm a pretty fast reader, and it felt a bit slow having to wait for it to appear. Really interesting storyline though, would love to see this cleaned up and fleshed out! Especially love the inclusion of the whales. Good job! :)
Hi, thank you for you comment!
We are planning to polish game in the future and I will update dialog system. After submitting game we also noticed that there is possibility that player will be skipping dialog and it could cause one issue… Thank you for finding another one! 😊 I will fix it!
About gui… I hope you still was able to enjoy this game even like this.
Dialogs was written by GrayPearl. She was wonderful in making characters so unique! And she wrote articles as well! I so glad that she done this and brough live to the game. She also told me that for updates she want to add player more character as well by adding different answers on questions!
Thank you again for your comment! I really appreciate this!
cool little game. it is very short, but there is still a small gameplay idea here, and i liked the concept of space whales. this kind of whale imagery in strange cosmic places is just interesting by itself, it reminded me a bit of the whale-like feeling in Death Stranding
the main thing that felt strange to me was the controls and UI states. it feels like you are in dialogue, binoculars and archive mode almost at the same time, so it takes a little moment to understand how everything works
also, switching archive tabs with the mouse felt a bit awkward, because when i move the mouse up to the tabs, the character camera also looks up. but overall, after a short time, i understood what to do, so it was not a big problem for me
nice concept and mood
Thank you very much for comment.
About the game mechanics: it was originally planned that the action would take place inside a space station, and all objects: binoculars, radio and archives were supposed to be separate elements and objects on scene.
But unfortunately I didn’t managed time as well as I hoped and I needed to change base idea quickly and still create something good. I decided to go with UI elements on suit to explain how Player has access to everything at once, but I agree menu needs to be reworked if I will stay with this concept.
The idea with whales and eyes was this: I wanted to touch on the theme of fear of the unknown, when we don't understand what happened and are powerless to change it. We are unwitting witnesses, finding ourselves in the worst possible place. And we cannot change it ... just observe and learn... and may be it will help someone else or not. “No happy ending in sight for us ”
At the end I think game turn out to be more on the bright side even with such ending.
Thank you again for you opinion and comment!
Very cool concept and atmosphere! Combining space whales and eye-horror gives it a very distinct vibe. I would recommend adding some breaks between dialogue to add better pacing, and let the player explore the base a bit and look around by themselves :)
Thank you for your comment! At the exact moment I’ve read premise of the game jam I have had a vision of whales and eye infection. I still could not believe that we was managed to finish this game.
We planning to polish it and make it more enjoyable in future.
Thank you again!
A "highly-contagious eye infection" gets a new meaning, great idea!

Thanks!
Cool idea, but I think the lack of sound and extremely fast movement diminish the narrative you were going for
Yes, I totally agree with that. I hope to polish this game after game jam – by polishing mechanics, adding audio and narration.
Thank you for pointed out this issues and thank you for playing this game!
I like the concept of PNG whales, but some things like the mouse not hiding spoil the experience.
PNG? May be I misunderstand? Do you mean images or something else? Because if images, I sorry but whales are 3d.
Thank you for noticing bug with cursor – I will be working on polishing game after game jam finished.
And of course, Thank you for playing and commenting this game. I appreciate it very much, I hope you not felt betrayed by 3d whales and still like it!
I was clicking through all the dialogue to get to the game faster, and then the game ended.
Would have liked to see more interaction.
This would make for a nice novel or perhaps a short film.
Totally agree with that. I hope to polish this game after game jam – mechanics, adding audio and narration.
I hope still this game was a pleasant experience in current state.
Thank you for comment!
Original story. The game would benefit from sounds and music :)
Thanks!
We actually had a lot of creepy whale sounds, but ran out of time :(
We want to keep working on the game and add everything in the next update.
Neato concept! I feel like it should've been pushed a little bit further in theming and gameplay elements, but other than that pretty cool!
I agree with that, I wanted to add more decay for whales, that infestation will effect skin texture and will cause some parts of whales just rot away, living them with emptiness where most of eyes were. But if was very ambitious and I am not a master in blender – so I hope I will be able to fix it and add more decay in future.
Thank you for playing this game!
Loved the little asteroid base, cool game!
Thanks ≽^•⩊•^≼
Well I got to agree that this really was a nice lil story!
Thanks ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
Are you kidding me with this base?? It's so good! I love the art style and I love the concept, great work!

I must be honest, a lot of credits must go on for wonderful artists that post they work for free in Unity Asset Store like The PolynestLab, Namu and PolyOne Studio. I just assemble assets nicely together.
But still thank you very much for your comment. At start of the jam I planned to make story of the game happened inside of the station, but time was against me and I needed to focus on more important things. So game design was left until last moment. I have a vision of comfy and retro style, and happy that someone loved it also.
Thank you for you comment!
I love it too!
Thanks (˶>⩊<˶)
Love the story!
