I'm having a hard time believing that this is a project made in 10 days and not a demo for an upcoming commercial release. Absolutely insane quality. The visuals are extremely cool and instantly pull you in. The movement is so quick and responsive, it feels like what I imagine a game like Ultrakill feels like.

For my critiques, it is mainly what some other comments have already mentioned. It's difficult shoot when you're constantly pulling your aim downward. It would be nice if the aim would come back to its normal position after the recoil. It also feels like a very modern take on the Wolfenstein formula, but maybe a bit too modern for what I was expecting in this jam. Other than that, my only issue is that there's not more of it to play. Insanely impressive

Thank you very much!!! It was a hectic 10 days, so I’m glad it held up! Means a lot to hear that 😄
Having it compared to ultrakill is also a huge compliment haha.

I totally agree with the recoil issue, I feel so stupid now because I never thought of it easing back into the original position until now 😅. I will definitely fix it in the post-jam version.

I also agree that it feels a bit too modern. I wanted to make it feel good and just ended up making it a bit too modern 😅
Thanks again for the feedback!

You've got to be kidding me, this game is beautiful! Honestly would have any frame from the beginning animation on display. The movement and attack feedback is also amazing, though keeping track of the player health is a little hard with all the recoil!

I've never been one for shooter games but this was so fun. Also just loved the little hint tags with projectile warning etc!

The literal only criticism I can even scrape together is that even though the jump and dashing mechanics was so fun to use, it definitely took away from the wolfenstein theme.

Thank you so much for playing! That's a huge compliment haha, I really appreciate it 😄
I'm glad you had fun even though you aren't much into shooters!

Thanks a bunch for the feedback too! The health being difficult to keep track of has been on my radar too, I will definitely try to separate it or make it less prone to shaking. I can also 100% understand how the movement strays away from the original Wolfenstein, I may have gone a bit overboard haha.

Haha it might stray a bit from the theme but its clearly inspired you to create  a super fun and creative game, so personally I think it has resulted in a much better result than if you had restrained it. Once again, amazing job!!

Fantastic game! I love the art style and the gameplay juice in this. Love the runner mechanic. Really makes me think of Persona4 with the art style. Keep up the work! Love the audio as well. Really love the main menu.

Thank you so much for playing! Really happy that you had a great time 😄
Persona 4 indeed had an awesome style! I had a few references from it too when mood-boarding for this game.

Really great game — I read in the comments that it was developed in just 10 days, which is quite impressive. Even though it’s fairly short, I can definitely say that the movement feels really good. I don’t even need to mention the art style — I love it! A solid 10/10 in terms of aesthetics for me. The menu is nicely designed, the sound design is on point, the mechanics are well thought out, and the enemy design is excellent.

That said, I’d still like to include a bit of criticism / personal opinion. The weapon recoil feels a bit too strong for my taste — in this case, I think less would have been more. I felt like I had to readjust my aim after every shot, which took away a bit of the fun for me. But that’s just my personal opinion — others might find it perfectly fine.

Aside from that, there’s not much to criticize. A beautiful, playable, cryptic fever dream.

Developer

Thank you so much!!! Seriously, that’s incredibly kind of you to say. Honestly means a lot to hear that.

I really appreciate your feedback on the recoil too. That’s very fair criticism, I was aiming for something punchy and impactful, but I can see how it ends up disrupting the flow if you have to constantly readjust. It’s definitely something I need to refine and balance better.

Also “cryptic fever dream” is great 😄, glad that aspect came through!

Thanks again for playing!

Insanely impressive for a 10 day project. Great art, great game feel, great sounds. I liked all the tactile buttons in the menu.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😄

You really nailed this theme! The game feels smooth and fast, from the running to the shooting, everything plays amazingly😊

Thanks a bunch for playing!
I was aiming for a smooth and fast experience, so I’m really glad it came across that way. 👍

Wow, the aesthetics of this game are really on point, the menus, the art work, all very juicy and well done. Though I have to admit I did get a bit disorientated at times while playing it.
It seemed like I picked up a shotgun but then couldn't figure out how to use it, but eventually I figured out that it just switches automatically until you use up all the bullets.

Would recommend

Thank you!!! I really appreciate that! Glad you liked the aesthetics and overall feel.

And yeah, that's totally fair about the disorientation. It can definitely be unclear at first, I should have probably included it in the tutorial level.
I will see if I can make it more intuitive or communicate it better.

Thanks again for the feedback 😄
