This game was AWESOME! I loved the opening cinematic, sets the mood perfectly, and the concept was really awesome too!

The way that the enemies moved was brilliant and very frightening. I did have some trouble with the difficulty since I am not epic gamer, but I think the difficulty works really well in this case, because it emphasizes the strength of the alien creatures.

Overall great game, well polished and cool twist! Keep up the great work!

I had loads of fun with this game! Loved the eerie atmosphere, the story was cool too 😄 Feels very Wolfensteiny!
The way the weapon is held adds to the immersion too. Shooting felt great too!

Just a small idea if you decide to work more on the game afterwards: It would be really cool if shooting an enemy with the shotgun sends them flying into the wall behind them!

Overall solid entry! Keep up the great work!

Thank you very very much 😄

Thank you!!! 😄

Thank you very much!!! It was a hectic 10 days, so I’m glad it held up! Means a lot to hear that 😄
Having it compared to ultrakill is also a huge compliment haha.

I totally agree with the recoil issue, I feel so stupid now because I never thought of it easing back into the original position until now 😅. I will definitely fix it in the post-jam version.

I also agree that it feels a bit too modern. I wanted to make it feel good and just ended up making it a bit too modern 😅
Thanks again for the feedback!

Thank you so much for playing! That's a huge compliment haha, I really appreciate it 😄
I'm glad you had fun even though you aren't much into shooters!

Thanks a bunch for the feedback too! The health being difficult to keep track of has been on my radar too, I will definitely try to separate it or make it less prone to shaking. I can also 100% understand how the movement strays away from the original Wolfenstein, I may have gone a bit overboard haha.

Thank you so much for playing! Really happy that you had a great time 😄
Persona 4 indeed had an awesome style! I had a few references from it too when mood-boarding for this game.

This game was really fun! The movement, shooting felt great and it's well polished! The art style and atmosphere were amazing too!

Wish there was a checkpoint so that you don't have to start from the very first level when you die, but I do admire the challenge.

Other than that, great entry/game! Keep up the great work! 😄

The game was good fun! Loved the Star Wars style lore drop introduction. The lore and concept you went for is a really cool too!

I have a spot of feedback,

I wish the enemies reacted more when getting shot (a small change in the sprite or some knockback maybe?). It’d make things feel way more responsive and satisfying, since right now it’s a bit hard to feel the impact of the gun shots.

With a bit more polish on that, I think you'd have a really great game!

Thank you so much!!! Seriously, that’s incredibly kind of you to say. Honestly means a lot to hear that.

I really appreciate your feedback on the recoil too. That’s very fair criticism, I was aiming for something punchy and impactful, but I can see how it ends up disrupting the flow if you have to constantly readjust. It’s definitely something I need to refine and balance better.

Also “cryptic fever dream” is great 😄, glad that aspect came through!

Thanks again for playing!

Thank you!!! I really appreciate that! Glad you liked the aesthetics and overall feel.

And yeah, that's totally fair about the disorientation. It can definitely be unclear at first, I should have probably included it in the tutorial level.
I will see if I can make it more intuitive or communicate it better.

Thanks again for the feedback 😄

Thanks a bunch for playing!
I was aiming for a smooth and fast experience, so I’m really glad it came across that way. 👍

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😄

I love the twist/concept you went for! It felt really unsettling and scary in a good way haha. The vocal sound effects were really fun too!

If you decide to work more on the game in the future, it might be cool to see different techniques to cure specific types of patients.

I tried my best to save all the peoples from da evil doctors. Had a great time 😄

This game has a lot of charm! I quite like the cute/wacky nature of it
I do wish the screen size was a little bigger, but in a way, the small screen size also adds to the vibe 😄

Really awesome work! Had a bunch of fun playing. The game has a lot of charm and I love the somewhat silly sound effects! Weapons were much fun too!

I'm not sure if this was intentional but I had a small issue where using the melee weapon depleted my ammo for the spinning saw weapon.

Other than that I had a great time!

Glad to hear :)

Great work! I really like the concept of portraying your co-workers and boss as demons 😄
It would be cool if the enemies reacted to being shot, a change in the sprite or a sound effect maybe?
Overall solid entry!

Thank you very much! Glad you had a good time!

Absolutely love the art style and atmosphere! Cutting down enemies with the katana was really fun and the bow felt good to use as well!

I love the concept you guys went for! A really cool twist on the original, the weapon designs were super fun too!

Overall really solid entry! Keep up the good work!

Thanks a bunch for playing!! Happy to hear you liked it :p

The way I exported the game may have had something to do with the stutter too :(
Shifting the pitch of my sound effects wasn't working on the web export so I had to make it so that all sounds were being mixed on one thread. Should have seen it coming :/ There wasn't much I could do to fix it because I was running out of time.

I will definitely find a fix for this and apply it after the voting period ends :D

Thank you so much for taking the time to play the game :D Really glad you liked it.

I do agree, I was really rushing it with the ending. I was writing it at 4AM trying to hit the deadline haha. I think it's one of the first things I will change/improve after the voting period.

And you were definitely right about some of the plot points not being seen through to the end. I had a bunch of ideas and I only had time to finish a few :(
I will try my best to provide explanations for these after the voting period and improve the ending :p

Thank you so much for playing!!! It means a lot that it was one of your favorites from the jam, really appreciate you taking the time to play and leave such kind words!

Thank you very much for playing :D Glad you liked the plot twist.

I honestly think I could done better with the ending, you know, adding some visuals and stuff. Unfortunately I ran out time haha.

Thanks a bunch for trying out the game!!! Really glad you had a good time :

Thank you for playing!!! Haha I definitely thought  of adding some mouth sound effects when making the game but unfortunately I was mostly at uni while making this game so it would have been a little awkward recording sounds haha :p

Thank you so much for playing!! I have to say, I really made a few of those items too hard to find and its all my fault haha.
Glad to hear you had a fun time :p

After the voting period, I will definitely take some time to rethink the object positions and place them at more sensible locations :D

Thank youu!!! When I heard "secrets included", detective game was the first thing that popped into my head haha

Thanks a bunch! Very happy to hear you had a good time :D

Thank you very much for playing! Glad you like it :p

Thank you so much for the feedback! The crumpling mechanic definitely could use some tweaking to keep it from feeling tedious, I will look into improving it after the voting period :D

The ending is definitely what I am most displeased with myself. I was writing it in a big rush to not miss the deadline haha. And it's probably the first thing I will improve/change after the voting period.

Thank you very much for playing the game!!! Really appreciate the feedback :D

I really did mess up with the audio haha. Apparently there is this new thing with Godot web exports, where they use samples instead of audio streams. This became an issue for me because that meant I couldn't change the pitch of sounds :(
So I changed the setting to use streams instead of samples. By doing that, all the audio is now being mixed in one thread, hence the lag.

I will try to find a fix for this as soon as the voting period ends :D

Thank you again for the kind words :D

Thank you so much for playing the game, and thanks a whole lot more for the detailed feedback!!!

Extremely glad to hear that you like the game and art style :D

I 100% agree with what you say about the ending. Honestly it is what I am most unsatisfied about the game myself. I was writing that ending at 4AM trying not to miss the deadline (and trying not to fall asleep xD). I think the ending is the first thing I will change/improve after the voting period :p

I totally agree about the music too haha. I'm definitely not well-versed in music theory and it's one of my weakest skills at the moment. But I really really appreciate the feedback since now I know what I can do to improve it :D

Thanks a bunch again for taking the time to play the game and writing this feedback!!!

Fun  game,  I loved the style! Had a good time playing, a quite challenging game too

I personally found the controls to be a bit unintuitive. Using X and Z to move to those two places on the left was a bit difficult to wrap my head around, but I got it eventually!

Other than that, great work and keep it up!!!

A short searching and story game where you click stuff, crumple stuff, open stuff, and find little secrets that tell a short story, about a missing researcher. Play the game here!

This is a very small game made in 2 days for the Mini Jam #177

  • Hand-drawn art-style
  • Casual gameplay
  • Multiple secrets and hidden items to find
  • Each hidden object found reveals a bit about what might have happened

This is my first game focusing more on narrative so please do leave feedback! It would mean a lot!

Hope you enjoy <3

Really loved the art style!!! It was a fun playthrough with a lot of charm :D

It would have been cool to have some sound effects/music though

Solid entry! Keep up the awesome work! :)

Thank you so much for playing!!! Really glad you had fun :D

This game was made for the Pirate Software Jam, but I was unable to submit due to my incompetence. It would mean a lot to me if you could check out the game and provide some feedback!

Hahaha thank you very much for playing! 😄

That's a great idea actually. Ima pitch this game to scientists 😂

Really glad you liked the game! I definitely would love to introduce some new body parts that affect how the creature behaves in different ways. I probably will make an update for the game after the voting period ends 😎👍
