I enjoyed this game a lot! Like playing with wind-up toy soldiers. Great watching the archers fight and also super cool animations.

Very nice entry, well done.
I had the giant crank archer bug, but the experience was smooth and I love all interactions you implemented (shop, tower crank to start etc.).

Congrats!

Really good! For some reason I had dungeon keeper flashbacks.

I had to rewind my units a only a few times until I was able to spawncamp. For the next update please add some power tools to help with the rewind :D

Really fun, I had a "bug" where the crank scaled up by 3 or something while holding an archer. You can confirm a purchase even you didn't take the previous unit before so you waste the money.

Thank you for playing! I didn’t even think about players not removing items from the shop before purchasing new ones, so that’s a good catch. Think the whole crank scaling up is a visual mistake we let slip by where cranks were scaled down by 3, but somehow get reset back to normal and scaled back up. Glad you had fun with the game though.

Great work. I like having to wind up the people. But it was a little too easy to defend the tower? Definitely would like to see more (levels, attackers, objects to purchase). It did crash when I accidently dropped one of the archers onto the floor. I think I was at level 7 or 8 by the time I needed to rewind. The attackers moved back but you get to keep the money (I spent it just in case before rewinding).

Thanks for the feedback!

Very nice, definitely has the bones of a full game. Clever automat for buying more units instead of just another laser pointer menu too. Reminds me of brass tactics, the sadly abandoned PC oculus exclusive RTS, which also had little drawers you could get more units from.

Wow, really nice, looks and feels very polished. You could also call it the controller killer as i smashed my controllers multiple times while rewinding xD would be a fun addition for the future where you could overcrank the figures or somehow change the crank-physics.
really like that take on tower defense where you still are active. also really nice use of the motion controls of XR.
If i am really really nitpicking: The Coins into the slot gets slightly annoying after a while, maybe you could implement a version where you can select multiple coins via joystick and put them in the slot?
Also just fyi: i testet on a quest 3. after rount 5 or so the framerate dropped bit by bit. i guess thats not a problem on PC but for quest there might have been to many models at the some time during a round. felt like 30-40 frames in the end.

our team is planning on further developing this game, thanks for the feedback!

yeah we are gunna have to figure out where the performance issues are coming from, happened on my laptop a bit too

thanks for sharing the recording!

This is great! Wonderful concept - I love that everything is winding (the character energy, starting the next round, confirming a purchase). And the item machine where you put each individual coin in manually was a great touch. Overall, this is just the perfect amount of physicality. Really nice aesthetic too - I loved the low FPS animations. I could see this one being developed into a full game and being a lot of fun. Great job!

we hope to continue to develop this game further, thanks!

Made it all the way to 10, I'm glad I wasn't stingy with the coins :) That last wave was a fun surprise.

The only thing I noticed was that the unit positions sometimes flipped their directions, and I had to spin my controller around to reposition them. Granted, they turn themselves, but at first, I was worried that their orientation would impact their performance.

This was a well-executed entry, and I had a lot of fun playing it. Fantastic job!

Developer

yeah the direction they face does not matter but i can see how that might be confusing at first. thanks for the feedback!

Elegant and very well polised entry !

I reached round 8 with 2 swordsmen, 10 archers and a bear trap and felt I seen all mecanics the game had to offer.
Using a crank for most of the interactions is satisfying and on theme, well done.

At first I had a lot of trouble getting to the right position at game start, I usually like to play seated but I needed to physically move my playing space which was a little annoying, maybe offer a seated mode with stick turning so you can use the vending machine.

Would play more of it !

Developer

thanks for the feedback!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I think it would be a great idea for accessibility purposes to add a seated mode, as well as snap turning, because the game is obviously more comfortable to play while standing, and you must look behind you to use the shop. During development, we made the game to work like Job Simulator where there were no locomotion systems, but everything would be designed to be reachable without the use of teleportation or continuous movement.

thanks for the kind words!

Beautiful game, i'd love to see it turned in to a full game, have larger battle you look down on with your strategy table close to place units and towers, wonderfully done!

Developer

thanks!
