Loved this one. Great work. I wasn't sure at first what to do, but figured it out.
Yep, my kind of game. Enjoyed it so much! It was a bit difficult to read from the cards, otherwise great job!
I really enjoyed it! At the beginning, I had no idea what to do, but over time I adapted. Great game!
Pretty solid card game. I liked the gameplay and the objectives, I think they fitted really well, but it's a little confusing to understand without a tutorial. I still compreend the lack of it because of the short time. For a game jam, I think it's great.
Well done guys!
Visuals
1 ... graphics elements fits together maybe only do tiny color palette adjustment
2 ... maybe fit drawing cards at the center of the screen when drawing (easier to find)
3 ... very good distortion line shader
4 ... when start holding new card -> delay glow shader where this card can be placed or show no possible placement (reason: full automation of the game)
5 ... when mouse stop moving & card is hold still for x seconds -> start little card movement animation (so it wont feels so static)
6 ... option to see cards bellow pile on click (centralized with darken fade shader)
7 ... when gaining point to <mission completed> -> some text notification somewhere
Controls
1 ... card movement well tuned
Design
1 ... great idea nothing to add
2 ... remove option of discarding entire hand if you do not have to
Sound
1 ... fits the game, no feeling of repetition
Very cool game, love the art style and the card game seems really promesing.
I don't know if this is a real card game or if you made it up but most rounds for me was just that I could not do anything, because I did not have the right card (but I also suck at card games, so maybe thats a me problem :D)
I loved the art style and the music! Great job!
It's a great game, I likeв the sounds and visual design, but it's quite difficult to get into the game. Overall, it's a very good game made in a week.
I like the pixel style a lot. Everything feels like it fits together really nicely, and the visuals give the whole game a very cohesive vibe. Great work.
I enjoyed this game quite a bit! It took me a bit to figure out, but then was able to grasp the concept and win 2 different missions. One thing I will say is it was quite slow paced with only being able to draw 1 card at a time
really polished game so cool idk how you made a fully fledged card game with matching visuals in a week but you guys did awesoem :D
Thanku !
Really like the art and the concept, it’s super cute! Just took me a bit to get used to how it works at first
What a cool game idea! Its so nice to see card games also in this game jam, loved the audio
This game has clear potential, good job!
Like graphics. Felt very confused. I began to understand some of the dynamics after 10 mins but I still couldn't really figure out how to play well the game. Still it looks very fun and the dynamics I understood were well thought out.
Nice game. I liked the graphics and the main core loop of the game. Nice job :)
Love the visuals and sound, the particles effect in background looks great! Quite a challenging game, as others said, maybe more detailed tutorial or gifs would be good. Maybe I am just not strategic enough, but I ended with always 1 card and enemy the same, so the game took quite a long time then. Maybe having ability to draw more cards would make the dynamic better.
I managed to win the first game ! I liked the game and the idea, the music, sound and the pixel art was on point. I would've like a tutorial, I couldn't quite figure out the interactions between the cards, what can be placed on top of what. The other thing was how cards interact with each other. Some text was flavor (I think) while some other text was useful. All in all a promising experience !
I really like your art style. One of the jam games where pixel art is very stylish.
But unfortunately, my first experience with this game was not really pleasant. Generally, it feels like win goals you can get are not very balanced. At first, I got the "House 9 goblins" goal which was a lot to ask from the first attempt in my humble opinion. In the end, I've lost to the opponent after 20 minutes of the match not even getting close to the win condition. I wasn't even able to find enough goblin cards. Out of 9 required I managed to draw only four. Moreover, one of them was Goblin Merchant that I'm not sure what to do with. On the card, it's written that it can be housed anywhere, but I couldn't find a single cell where I could house it. It straight refuses to leave my hand xD
To be fair, on my second session I got a much more realistic goal - "Host a card on all 5 cells" or something like that - and the game went smoother, but some problems like not being able to put a card in a proper region persisted, unfortunately.
Anyways, this game certainly has potential! You guys seem like you know what you're doing and I wish you the best of luck with this project
Thanku for playing and your feedback !
Really nice visuals! The game has great potential but I agree with some other comments that it was hard to understand how it works at first but would definitely pay for a full version of this game :)
Interesting concept, sadly I didn't quite get how to play even after I read description. Probably worth to add a simple in game tutorial explaining what is happening!
