Wow, thank you for such a thoughtful comment on our game! We took a bet on doing a lot with a little, and it's really nice to read comments like this one that highlight that 🙏 We will keep working on our game, and we'll keep this wonderful comment in mind when moving forward thoughout the journey!

Thank you for playing our game and sharing your thoughts with us 🙏

Thank you for your kind words! We put quite some time into getting the audio as right as we could given the limited time. Really nice to hear that many of you who took the time to play it appreciated it 😄

Thank you! We really appreciate the feedback, and are glad to hear that you enjoyed it!

Hi! We have now fixed this so the enemies are a bit less random and it´s easier to move forward in the level. Feel free to try out the game again if you have time and see what you think :)

We have not had time to implement any of your other good ideas but maybe this simple fix will make it more enjoyable for you!

Thank you very much! I must say the same to you, very impressive work for a week.

Thank you for the kind words!

You're certainly correct and a developer must be especially cultured to have ".exe" in the name of their game! Kidding aside, your take on the whole win95 theme was very creative and interesting, great job on that!

Wow, thanks for the praise! We worked really hard the entire week and even had to pull an all nighter the last night to get the game to the quality we wanted. So when we read stuff like this it makes us really happy and made the lack of sleep worth it!

We will look into making the onboarding better so it's easier to understand what you are supposed to do, do you have any suggestions of what would have helped you?

Neither of us has read or seen Enders game actually :D Is the movie good enough or do you recommend the book instead?

Great incremental game, especially for your first full game and only done in a week. Personally I like the slow start since it made every upgrade feel satisfying to buy. I agree with some of the others that the holding down a button is tedious, in my humble opinion it would be better if you just had to hover the cursor on a button and then maybe have to do something else too (like water the plants) so you just can't leave the cursor hovered on the button all day.

Another suggestion is to add more plants and let the player place them out where they want so you can have your own unique little plant farm :)

Great to hear! We are two 30+ guys who made the game so we are glad we could capture that feeling for you.

Your game was awesome too and has so much potential, good job!

Actually such a clever idea and a cool spin on a turn based game! Would love to see more types of bullets too where I have to decide before which five bullets I use for even more strategy. Otherwise not too many notes, It's nice to hear that you will keep developing the game and looking forward to a future expanded version :) Great work!

Thank you, glad you had fun!

Your game had a great vibe to it, nice work.

Really nice vibe! I could just imagine playing this game on a rainy night with a drink. Great visuals and sound design, also the card game was simple and fun which made it easy to get into :)

Hey gamers! We're looking to play and rate games from devs who plan to keep developing their jam entry after the jam. We'll do our best to leave genuinely useful, constructive feedback.

If you're in the same boat, drop your link below and we'll get to it. We'd love it if you returned the favor with helpful feedback of ours — the more specific the better. 🙏

Cool game! Took me a while to figure out what to do but when it clicked it was fun, the snake mini game was keeping me from paying attention to the actual game though since it was so good. The game could really use a tutorial since it's quite hard to understand at first but otherwise it felt like a really good game after just a week so good job!

PS. That guy is going to haunt my dreams tonight

Nice aesthetics and art, I also like the idea of pressing left and right to talk with the characters, such a simple trick to make me more engaged in the conversation. From one sleep deprived student to another, great work! :)

Interesting concept and good story setup, I was intrigued from the start and wanted more when it ended so great job! The puzzle was almost a bit too simple and was the only thing I wish was more developed, other than that it was a great experience and good luck in the jam :)

I am a sucker for 3d puzzling game and this was promising! Really like the idea of having a notebook to write down solutions and maybe draw something M-rated on (not that I would ever do that of course). Sadly I got stuck on the key puzzle and I even tried clicking on the lock but nothing happened, I dont know if I did something wrong or if it's not working so let me know and I might try it again if I have time :)

The first two levels were great though so good job!

Reaally impressive for a first time dev and especially for only a week of work! It was very cute and made me chuckle when I was a tiny little guy who could jump to the skies. Charming sounds and art too.

I felt like I maxed out some of the upgrades/nerfs but was not sure since there was no indicator that showed me this. Also when I reached the area where I had to be bigger to press a button I could not get big enough with the power ups there and I could not go back even though my jump was maxed out, which resulted in me having to restart from the beginning. So a tip from me is to avoid these types of areas where it is impossible to progress without having to restart :)

Otherwise great job and good luck in the game jam!

Thank you so much. The game is difficult according to the player feedback we have gotten so a real pro gamer move from you that you beat the entire game!

Also, great feedback. We didn't even think about that and will look into the best approach of dealing with that problem :)

Your game was quite addictive too and great lighting effects!

Trippy game, and yes I am very confused! It is a clever mechanic though and a great tech demo I must say, I can imagine it was equally or even more mind bending designing these levels as it is playing them :D

A problem I had was remembering the different paths I had already taken which resulted in me just jumping around and never finding keys. An idea to fix this for stupid people like me could be that you had a trail behind the player that lingered for a bit so I knew which path I already tried recently. Other than that, great job! :)

Simply a fun and short experience, personally i really liked the art style and the different layers in the parallax background felt natural and smooth to look at. I feel like the game would benefit from some harder platforming since now I just had to learn the layout and after that it was pretty easy :)

Nice little Baba-like you've got going there! I really like games that do a lot with so little, and I think this minimalist approach can go a long way. Even the music is extremely simplistic and repetitive, but while trying to solve the puzzles you just drown into it.

Might have been total randomness, but I somehow spent a lot more time on level 2 than 3 and 4.

Keep up the good work, this could for sure yield a great ROI on you time!

Clever idea with controlling the roots of a plant, never seen that done before! A bit unclear on what was happening at times, for example on the level with the moving spotlight I just turned the plant towards the right and the lightmeter went to 100 even though the light was not hitting me.

Thanks! The physics in your game was really fun to play with too :)

This game has no business being this good for a game jam! I'm of the hot take that the Portal games and pretty much everything in the 3D puzzle platforming genre is overrated, but I was in awe playing this, seeing how much you've managed to put together in one week.

I liked the Claptrap-style humor being fed to you throughout! The music was nice and you had some beautiful environments! The end of the air purification course looked really nice!

But the highlight for me was entering the Kurosawa mode course (don't remember the name) after that! I genuinely paused and just looked at the environment for a good minute before proceeding! It had some nice sound design also!

The gravity course was... well, Hidetaka Miyazaki would have been proud for sure! I liked that you added some ways to get back to the start if (when) you screw up, like the boost pad pushing you to the very start. Figuring out some more ways to be able to skip parts of it once you've progressed could be a nice touch. Maybe some Bloodborne-style shortcuts that connect a later point to the start, but only once you've managed to reach it? Also, the crane felt somewhat mistimed with the vehicle, which sometimes forced me to wait 2-3 rotations before being able to make the jump.

Full disclosure: I'm currently traveling, and I had to play it all using the trackpad of my laptop. I know the game is not designed to be played like that, but it really made me wish for a way to at least change the aiming sensitivity after having started the game. But I'm sure you're planning on adding that anyway!

I was sure that I could make it through my travels without a mouse, but now I have to go and buy one just to make it through the gravity course. Failing the very last (I think, I hope) jump the third time felt like a sign from above. So consider this a review in progress!

Thank you so much 🙏 So nice to see all the love for retro OSes. We'll keep on improving the game, and comments like these will keep us motivated while doing so! We'll for sure take the time to try out your game too 👌

Hey! Thanks you for the comment! Happy to hear that you enjoyed the way we chose to set up the game. We'll make sure to check out your game too ⭐

Great stuff, thank you for your feedback! We put a lot of our effort specifically in the areas you're mentioning, so we're delighted to hear that our bets are paying off!

Thanks for the feedback! We're really happy to receive such praise given how little time we all had to scramble something together 😄 We're open to any kind of suggestions for gameplay mechanics. Should you happen to come up with something we might be able to implement, feel free to shoot and we might very well include it in the game!

Thanks for playing and commenting! Good job on getting that far! 💪 A challenging difficulty is one of our core pillars for the game, but we do hear you lead and clear on level 3 being too demanding given the machine's maximum capabilities. We've received some great suggestions on how to improve that part of the experience and we're looking forward to bringing them to the game soon!

Hey, thanks for playing! This is the biggest feedback we have gotten and will for sure fix in future versions of the game :)

I checked out your game and really liked it, great work!

Amazing job guys! I don't usually play tower defense games but I started this and suddenly half an hour had passed. Since I'm not used to the genre I appreciated the tutorial in the beginning, it made it easy to get into! Good luck in the jam :)

Thanks for taking the time to play the game thoroughly! We definitely are going to keep developing this game and we might steal some of your ideas actually ;)

Gorgeous pixel art, cudos to whomever created that! The game feels very polished for a week of work so great job! I really enjoyed the platforming puzzles where you had to switch worlds mid jump and such. As somebody else noted, the jumping felt a bit off, I think it was because you could move a lot to the sides in the air which made it hard to be precise with the landings.

Great job though and good luck in the game jam! :)

Very clever :D Would've kept playing if there were more levels for sure! The character felt snappy and nice to control, maybe the game was just a tad to simple and would benefit from some harder puzzles/platforming.

I actually really liked the vibes of this game. Good core that I feel could easily be built upon to make a full game, I especially liked the different elements and how they worked with the environment! It was a bit hard to see what block I was standing on though which made me place out different surfaces on the wrong spot quite a few times. Overall a really good job!
