Hey! Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback.
I might have an idea why this bug you've mentioned occurs, but I was unable to fix this issue before the submission period wasa over, unfortunately.
As for the monster, you should hide under the bed and turn off your flashlight to save your live. If you get the "I can see your light" message, it means, that you might have forgotten to turn it off, effectively revealing your hiding spot xD
I appreciate your review, thank you!
I like the general idea - parents preventing you from sleeping is not a very common trope - but the implementation could use a lot of tweaking.
First of all, the house is way too big for the events unfolding in there. Most of the rooms are empty and unused. Almost all of such rooms are never even visited by the player. There's just no need for that. Moreover, the house looks really weird. Sometimes, you can see big holes between the walls. It would be easier to get rid of them if the location was not so big. Quality over quantity!
Secondly, the UI could use a lot of improvements. The default Unity font, buttons and filled images do not look good in this game. There are nice free UI packages on the Asset Store, so I recommend using them for quick UI design.
Also, the parents with their low poly style do not fit the environment at all. Imho, this doesn't give them eerie vibe or something like that. It just makes them look... redundant, I guess. And the fact that both mom and dad know only one phrase and will repeat it over and over each time they approach your bed doesn't help.
Finally, the ending left me with more questions than answers, to put it mildly. I mean... I know I'm a disgrace, right? Just tell me why the hell do you not want me to sleep!
I think, if you'll work on these issues, the game will become much more appealing!
Thanks for sharing the project and good luck with your next games
Alright! I'm on to rating your game

This game made the long-forgotten childhood trauma caused by Getting Over It return to me after so many years... Idoling Around's outstanding visuals perfectly hide the anger-inducing nature of this game at first.
The game tends to freeze a bit in the beginning. Not a serious issue, but spoils the first impression a little.
Still, that's a solid project with awesome UI and consistent style - not something you see often in Game Jams
Well, in my case, this jam was a very draining period.
The person I was supposed to make the game with left the team just after we finished our planning phase. As a result, I had to make the whole project myself from scratch, fighting with scope creep.
Still, I'm very happy what I was able to achieve, because despite (or maybe thanks to) all the problems, I learned a lot making this game. Maybe these sleepless nights were worth it xD
Congrats on your first jam, by the way!

If I were paid a penny for every Game Jam platformer where you shift dimensions... xD
Tbh, the idea is not that fresh. This game is not the worst implementation of this concept though. Even so, I really missed some visuals. The jump animation is just a walking loop which doesn't sound like a big problem in theory, but consider the floaty jumping combined with the fact that you spend more than 50% of the game in the air...
Finally, would be great to make the environment more detailed, as standard Unity cubes certainly serve as decent platforms, but look too simple for the setting.
Still, if itch.io is not lying and that's your first 3d game, it's a solid start.
On to playing your game!

Played the game! As you asked for a bit of criticism, here it is:
What was good:
- The visuals are nice, especially the main character
- The movement also felt good, even though it would be nice to make the camera move upwards and downwards more - imho, its vertical rotation is too limited
- The performance was good. Framerate is a big problem for many 3D WebGL projects, and I'm glad it's not the case for you
- R A C C O O N S
What could be improved:
- If the core of your game is some repetitive action, you should make performing it as pleasing and rewarding as possible. You can add splashy visual effects and particles when the player shoots or when a raccoon is dead. The score text should update with active or flashy animations, like in DMC4, for instance. Also, zooming the screen in and out a bit when the player fires the gun can add to the game dynamics. There's a nice video on YouTube demonstrating many of these concepts named "Can We Make This Button Fun To Press?". I suggest you checking it out!
- Sounds and active music would also be much appreciated. "Tasty" sounds add a lot to game feeling
- A progression system will give the player reasons to stay longer as they will see the reason to play further
Overall, the entry feels too empty at the moment, but genuinely has a great potential to evolve into a banger if you decide to work on it more after the jam.
I agree with others. The controls feel too clunky. You never know how high your character will jump and what will happen to them the next second, as many threats make controlling the character even harder.
Some invisible walls or whatever prevented me from entering certain areas with no apparent reason also don't help.
Genuinely, this issue should be addressed a lot.
I adore the visual style, but the game goes really hard on my GPU. My laptop's RTX-3050 is certainly not a top-tier graphics card nowadays, but still, I don't think it is supposed to struggle that much running The Dollhouse.
Really missed some active background music. It would make the fights feel more intense.
Still, that's an interesting entry
Well, I'm glad to finally discover a Guitar Hero like project where I can actually keep up with the music. This game is really cool (or should I say sick? xD)
What's great:
- The general aesthetics are awesome.
- Love that every character even has their own frame around the portrait as they speak
- The songs are fire!
What could be improved:
- IMHO, the Easy mode gameplay gets too repetitive sometimes. A huge chunk of time is just you pressing Z,X,Z,X,Z,X,... in the same rhythm which is not very exciting
- I'd love to see more visuals during the performance. The models you drew for the main characters are amazing, but they are static which is not very exciting
Still, glad you shared your game with me! It's fire!
Hope to see more entries from you in the future
Well, you know the rules - you rate my game, I rate yours, everyone is happy.
Feel free to leave your honest feedback - the way you evaluate my game will not affect how I rate yours!

Like the concept - having to fight enemies, staying laser locked on the Sun at the same time, is something potentially challenging, even though certainly requiring some balance.
Would be nice to see more feedback from enemies and the Sun like hissing and steam particles as you pour the water. This would make the gameplay much more satisfying. (Or maybe it's present in Desktop version, because I player Sunfighters in browser)
My biggest problem with this game is the music. Tbh, it really goes hard on my ears, and the fact that it's poorly looped doesn't help at all. Would be great to have sound settings in-game, rather than just in main menu.
Good luck with your next projects!

Even though it's not new, the gravity concept fits this world nice and creates some fun gameplay situations.
My problem with this game was the robot's walking speed. Honestly, it moves so fast that it sometimes takes you a while to hit a button. You just stay next to it, jump and try to not fly too far. That's a bit frustrating.
Also, on the first level, it took me a while to understand that you should touch the exit door without touching the walls (I mean... the sides of the screen where there are no walls, I guess). It is not very intuitive. Would be nice to have some hint for the player on the first level.
Thank you for sharing your game!

Well, guess I'll have to post my game too... I'm too sensitive to peer pressure

I liked it. That's a really nice way to put several mini games together as one story. Not sure that the comparison is proper, but it looks a bit similar to what WarioWare does.
The game could use some background music putting you in the proper mood, though.
Also, it would be nice if you wrote general controls on the game page, because first time I got a tip what the controls are, I couldn't close it and start the level for quite a while. Enter is not the most popular confirmation button, so it would be nice to know that I need to press it to skip the instructions in advance.
Overall, good job! Thanks for sharing the game :D
