Really cool doodle visual style that provides a fair challenge. The design is very creative and the game looks great. The controls are simple and effective, and the transitions are very smooth. The tutorial is clear and helpful as well. Nice work!

Feel free to check out our game too and let me know what you think.

This is honestly one of the best games in this jam. I love the style you created. It feels very unique and the music is calm and fits the vibe perfectly. I really enjoyed playing it and ended up playing it multiple times haha. I really hope you add more levels or continue developing this project because I’d love to play more! <3

Stranger Pages has such a charming and unique visual identity. The sketched pencil-drawing aesthetic really stands out and makes the whole experience feel cohesive and playful. It fits the “collegeblock doodle” concept perfectly.

The gameplay loop is surprisingly strategic. I really enjoyed the tension of navigating around moving enemies and planning dashes carefully. It felt fair and skill-based rather than random.

The tutorial was especially well done. It was simple, clear, and quick without being overly wordy. That kind of onboarding is harder than it looks, and you nailed it.

I also appreciated that death didn’t force a full restart. That design choice kept the momentum going and made the experience feel rewarding instead of punishing.

The premise of being a slice of toast escaping strange notebook pages is delightfully absurd in the best way.

Great work, especially as a solo dev.

Wow, thanks for the detailed feedback!

Great visuals! I love the doodle theme. Think the head level could be tone down a bit, maybe they shoot fewer balls? I sometimes felt trapped between head rotations. Overall cute though.

This is a really amazing game! It's easy to play but the levels are challenging enough that it stays engaging, and the visuals and sound give it a really great cohesive and polished feel!

Wow, the artistic style is such an appeal! I was curious to see what other drawings that you came up with - I was looking forward to even more after the game.

Although the gameplay is relatively simple, I think what engaged me is definitely the different levels and drawings.

There was one level I struggled on for a little bit, and it was the one with the head shooting the balls. The heads appear without any warning, so I died multiple times just from the heads appearing. One suggestion is to add some sort of warning to give a  player a chance in those situations.

Overall, amazing work in just a week! If you have the time, please give our game a try and let us know what you think!

First of all, you finished a game that looks great overall — and achieving that in just 7 days, especially as a solo developer, is impressive. Great job!

Things I liked:

  • I really like the art style. It feels unique and fresh, and I definitely think it has strong potential for a larger project.

  • The second and third levels are challenging enough to feel engaging and rewarding. You’re heading in the right direction if you continue designing levels like those. I would perhaps refine the level progression slightly to introduce each enemy in a safer context before presenting it as a real challenge.

Constructive Feedback:

  • Some enemy colliders feel too strict. Even if the collider size is technically correct, from a player’s perspective it can feel frustrating to die from what appears to be minimal contact. I would consider slightly reducing their size — especially for the enemy with the open mouth — to improve fairness and perceived responsiveness.

  • In my opinion, the game benefits from short, fast-paced levels. I would therefore focus on making resets and transitions between levels as quick and seamless as possible to maintain flow and momentum.

Good game, I especially loved the page transition animation.

Lovely jam entry! This type of art is so beautiful, the levels were nicely balanced, I only wish it was a little bit longer.

Beautiful art and transitions. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for a larger game in the same style :)

Hah, same idea, man, also made paper-styled game. But for me you have lack of animations, that made your game feels a bit "dead". Also sometimes hitboxes feels a bit unfair. Otherwise the game is so nice, like the artstyle and that big guy whatever he is

Wonderfully cute game, and very well polished. I did struggle quite a bit but it was a lot of fun and had me trying over and over again. The transitions between levels is my favorite by far, incredible work on the animation for that.

I couldn't get past the third level, but even by then this game is already so cool! The art style and polish especially are stunning.

My only suggestion would be to make the hitboxes a little bit more forgiving. Amazing job!

Genuinely, such an awesome game! The art is so unique and integrated into the gameplay so smoothly. Had fun!

Nice game!

You could also check our hand drawn game please!

Really amazing game. Everything was really well put together and I loved the art style. Each level was really enjoyable, and I was wanting to play more! Really great!

So unique! Beside the obviously amazing art. I liked that the levels were randomized a little bit! The eyes moved at different speeds and the boys that shoot at you were popping up at different times. Made dying and replaying the level more enjoyable. Well done!
