Has a really nice game feel, and loved the gameplay loop. Felt like V Rising Jam Edition :)

Such a cute game and as someone who has yearly resolutions I always fail, I LOVED the concept <3  Very inspirational

RIP Jimmy, didn't even get to try a lamp </3 Cute game, loved the humour

I really liked that this brought the countdown out of the game and into your head instead, felt like a fun test. Really cool interpretation of the theme.

So cute, can't believe I was featured in a GMTK video <333 The bugs never being done was too real

This game is so unique! Really impressed by how polished it feels <3

Nice idea and style :) When I went back to normal though the screen became very small and in the corner.

I am escape <3 Loved that you could hurt yourself or heal the monsters, was such a fun mechanic. Also really liked the mirror enemy to stop players from just spamming their combo attacks. Super impressive that you managed to add so much juiciness to the game in just 2 days!

Great atmosphere with the textures and lighting. Sometimes it felt like my controls got a bit stuck, particularly when first loading into the game.

I really liked using time as a resource, this was such a cool concept. I'd love to see if there's anything that changes if you manage to get your time above a certain threshold. I think this game would be an awesome idea to continue working on after the jam :)

Loved the narrative and the art! I was too smooth the first time around so I ended up playing the game twice just to make sure I appropriately died of cringe. Also the 'that is manageable with protective equipment' line was hilarious. Great work <3

This game has such an addictive style, I wanted to keep playing! If only God still had need of me :) Really enjoyable entry, I loved the art style and vibes you decided to go with.

Thanks for rating! We're really grateful that you organised a multiplayer session and gave our game a try <3 We saw your game on Bytesized's stream earlier and the art is incredible, can't wait to try it too! :)

Thanks so much for trying our game and organising a room with other jammers! We're really happy people got to play and I hope you enjoyed the twist :) We'll all make sure to check out your game too!

I liked the concept and main gameplay loop, though I wasn't able to serve the customers (my smoothies also disappeared). I hope to play it again if there's a fix <3

This game is so cute! I loved the bed calling to you, it was hilarious. Also really impressed with how much you got done in the jam, with the fishing system, quest system and gallery of catches, it felt very polished.

The gameplay loop felt polished and clean, I thought this entry was really nice. Is it possible to decode Marlon's read or is it completely randomised? I hope to one day get that 1000/1000 score but for now I'm nowhere near :)

Very cute, I liked your interpretation of the limitation! I also liked that the characters looked kind of like popsicles, it felt very summery.

Pretty awesome for a first game, really liked the camera controller and how responsive the game felt. Was the 'instructions are a lie' regarding the amount of levels?

Really liked the atmosphere and the art, would love to see a longer game in this style. The story was also intriguing, though maybe a little more closure at the end or secret hints about the cure throughout the levels could be nice.

Cute artstyle :) Is it endless? If so, I think it'd be great to include a score or a timer for how long you've lasted.

Trying your game right now, consider giving ours a go too if you'd like :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313400 I recommend the downloaded version, the WebGL takes a bit of time to load

Liked the control scheme changing based on the location :) Think the balance between the levels could be tweaked a bit, as I usually just sat idle in Asteroids until I got a warning,, while in WASD? I was still struggling with on my 8th playthrough

(1 edit)

Really liked the concept and message :) Think it would be nice if you could easily remove words, since on my initial playthrough I added everything I could see to my clipboard and that was a big mistake haha

Love the idea, such a funny concept. I wish there were a few more places to hide - trying to make noise with the TV got me caught like 90% of the time. Also I couldn't figure out what to do with some items - eg the bookana, was I meant to put it somewhere? Overall really liked this entry and so impressed that you made it as a solo dev! :)

The art is beautiful and the platforming section felt really good to play. The dialogue felt a bit too long in parts, and combined with the walking pace, it slowed things down a lot - maybe having the dialogue play while not stopping the player would feel a bit better. So impressive for a solo dev in a week though, the credits were well deserved :)

Really nice puzzle game, I liked how you slowly added more and more tiles and some unique mechanics like changing between the two screens. I could definitely see this expanded to a longer cozy game on steam or mobile :)

The dungeon sure was strange! The platforming was pretty fun, the combat felt very defensive. I think including knockback or a small stun would provide the player with more options than just endlessly kiting. But overall really enjoyable, and awesome for your first game on itch :)

Beautiful art and transitions. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for a larger game in the same style :)

Really clean; think it would've been cool if the games somehow fit together in one book. Also loved the inclusion of a leaderboard, but maybe having it prompt the player to change their name on start would be good, since a lot of the entries are just Player. Nice work!

The notes were hilarious, I loved the comparison between the good villagers' future deeds and the ones who were exorcised, it was a really nice touch. Wasn't sure what the difference was between hard mode and normal, they felt similar in terms of difficulty to me. Overall one of my favourite games this jam though, amazing concept (and good message about watching out for stranger danger!)

Liked how mysterious it felt. Unfortunately a lot of times the scene faded out before I could explore everything or finish reading the relevant dialogue lines, maybe changing it to wait for some input from the user would help. Great work though, impressive for one week :)

This was so fun, loved the spooky atmosphere, especially the note on the table (the xenomorph was funny too, but the note made me feel like things were about to get much worse suddenly). I sometimes struggled with what counted as an anomaly and what was just a weird day at the office, but that was part of the charm :)

Really nice art direction and interesting puzzle design. I felt like there was already so much for just 2 people to have made in 1 week, then got to the end and found out I had only seen 4/13 dialogues! Really impressive how much you managed to get done.

The perspective shift was really cool, though sometimes it was hard to tell where my cubey would land when platforming (especially on the purple level).

Rated and reviewed your game! If you'd like to try our game, it's here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313400

Really impressive for a solo entry, was surprised to read that it's your first game ever! In terms of feedback, I think adding some sort of indicator for enemy damage might be good (if you can hurt the enemies, it wasn't really clear). I think also reducing the time for digging, especially in the dirt areas might be nice.

Very cute, love the SFX though I feel a little bad for the Weird Dudes, they were not having a good time

Loved the animations and the abilities of the main character. Found it very hard to know what to do and I kept losing within 30 seconds. The closest I came to being able to play was finding the body but immediately I lost again. I saw the note about finding the shop but after >5 playthroughs I haven't seen it (maybe a skill issue). Also the 'Begin' button in the menu after I died wouldn't do anything  so I had to fully quit and restart the game each time. Would love to try this again in the future if there was a bit more of an introduction :)
