Loved the intersitial 2D artwork/animations, you have some awesome drawing skills! But really what elevated this was the story and writing, very well done. A small suggestion, (for small polish) if you're doing post-jam work, if you're able to add "button to interact" instead of collider areas for triggers for story events, I think it might make it more immersive.
The great 2d artwork really elevates it, and the 3d scenes were put together well too. Narrative and dialogue were more interesting than expected. I'm glad this game reinforced my opinion that I'm king pig above all others, so sad those other pigs had to go live on other farms, but at least we had breakfast in the end!
I’m personally not a big fan of this kind of conceptual game, but in what you propose to do, this was very interesting.
The hand-drawn scenes were so pretty, I’d love to play a game fully in that style. One problem was the text placement, it was in front of the frog, so I couldn’t see it at first, but that should be easy to fix.
Good job with this one!
Thanks for playing. I did fix the text placement but I can't edit the game until voting is over sadly RIP.
I completely understand not being a fan of the type of game this was. Very much just an interactive parable.
The art style was me using my history with studying animation to "mimic" a classic Disney style. I also watched the animated Charlottes Web for pig references.
The classic Disney style is really pretty, I loved it. I wonder if it would be possible to create a game completely with this style 🧐
I've been getting told to do that often. I may have to figure something out haha
I've got ideas flowing.
Even though it was a short game I really liked the story. I especially enjoyed being able to talk to the frog (which is funny because I have frogs in my own game too!) The cutscenes clearly had a lot of time and care put into them, and they added a lot of charm to the experience. Overall, a short game with a lot of heart.
Excellent Game, the hand-drawn artwork was the Charm and the gameplay was fun, but the freedom of doing stuff was not there as it was all story driven, But i enjoyed it a lot. Hope you Win.
I’m also a huge fan of your hand-drawn art style! I’d love to get back to my sketchbook sometime. And hey, if you ever create a visual novel game with this art, please give notify me :)
Wow, this game story is seriously the best I’ve seen so far! It’s a bit of a rollercoaster, though, with some really sad and depressing moments. I’m also thinking your story has a deeper meaning than just what’s on the surface. Anyway, I’m totally loving the art style! But, seriously, what if the girl kept the pig forever? Or is it just a dream? Hmmmm
Yeah this is one of the best game's I've played on here the way u Incorporated the theme was top notch just wow. Check out my game too please.
The story is amazing, and it's something you would ponder over. I really like the cutscene art, it's so simple yet it looks soo good and fits the story perfectly. The sounds are on point. I only would improve the dialogue placement, since for example the very first one, the dialogue was covering the frog. Also I wonder, is there a good ending, since i tried very hard to jump over the fence and save them?
A very creative game. The interaction was very imaginative with the hand drawn artwork and your story progressed beautifully.

i loved the artwork!
The art style is so peak, the pigs turned out very cute :*
Adorable game, I love the cutscenes !
Wow, I loved this game!! The story telling was fantastic and omg I ADORED the hand drawn cut scenes. The actions like knocking over the plant and eating food each day, make the game feel much more realistic and whole. The sounds were nicely implemented – I especially liked the oinks of the other pigs in the farm and how the music disappears when you’re about to be cooked. Caption is rly funny. Again, story was amazing!
For feedback, I think that some of the camera changes could be better oriented like maybe looking head-on at the frog, zoomed in, instead of the camera cutting to the position that’s above the frog.
It also might be better if the narrator’s speech boxes were consistently in the same place rather than being on the upper half of the screen on the black scenes and on the lower half for others (eg the last scene). Neither of these suggestions are very important just including in case you want to polish in the future :)
this game is a masterpiece. i liked the sotry telling and the artstyle a lot. great job!
This was such a great game. Diabolical description though
This game is very narrative driven. The story is very memorable with the underlying themes. Although the gameplay is somewhat repetitive, I genuinely enjoyed playing this game. The ending made me hungry.
It was... Golden? you might say. Thanks for coming out.
I really liked the way the characters were written, and I like the way the theme was incorporated into the story.
Thank you I appreciate that.
Nice short game! I liked the story, and I really liked the hand drawn cutscenes, I thought they were really cute!
Thank you for checking it out <3
