About 

OinkJam is a super cool, beginner-friendly game jam that takes place over the span of two weeks! Game jams are a great way to commit to a project and see it through. Anyone is welcome to join, but we especially hope to encourage girls and other gender-minority youth to participate in this game jam.  :)

While this jam has two themes, you are only expected to choose one to include in your game! Feel free to try both as a challenge, though.

Rating

Participants can rate games from the jam's end to 2/13/26 at 10:00 AM PST. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are decided through the rating results. The queue is enabled, meaning you'll be given five randomly chosen games to rate first before you can play any game. This is so that all games get a minimum number of ratings.

• Theme: How well the game incorporated the jam’s theme. Extra points should not be awarded for including both themes, nor deducted for implementing only one.

• Gameplay: How smooth, engaging, and well-developed the game mechanics felt. (How fun was it, basically!)

• Visuals: How appealing the game looked, including art style, graphics, and overall presentation.

• Audio: How effective the game’s sound design and music were in enhancing the overall experience.

As most of the prizes listed below aren’t 1 for each team member, teams are responsible for determining how they’ll split them. Rules

• Please do not attempt to manipulate ratings for your game. Things like this undermine fairness and make it difficult for us to continue hosting community-based jams in the future. You will get more opportunities to win a prize in the future if you don't cheat.

• You must keep track of your progress! This can be done either by taking screenshots every day with the date/time visible, or by having a public GitHub repository for your project. We may ask to see it at the end of the jam.

• Games must be entirely made during the jam's duration, and usage of premade assets must be disclosed when submitting your game (there will be a question for it). Please don't use AI.

• A brief explanation of your theme incorporation must be disclosed in your game submission.

• You can use any game engine, and compete solo or in teams up to 4.

• Games should be appropriate for all ages. No hateful, offensive, or NSFW content. Games with violence/gore should have a clear warning on the page.

• Submitting a web build of your game (playable in the browser) isn’t required, but it’s highly recommended since it typically receives more ratings. If that’s not possible, please submit a Windows or Mac build instead.

• Be kind, and provide helpful feedback during voting!

Late submissions: We'll accept late submissions up to 4 hours after the deadline, just let us know with your reason :)
