This concept is actually super creative and refreshing to play! You did an awesome job with the gameplay! :) Visuals and audio were simple, but it was a pretty short jam and working solo isn’t easy, so kudos!!

this is a really great game!! visuals are incredible and cool concept. my only gripe is that it’s super hard but I think that says more about me than the game

& farmer looks like luffy!

Hi Kovisoft! I haven’t played your game yet but will rate and leave another comment sometime this week. I’m leaving this comment to ask if you used AI for the thumbnail – if so, please update it to one that you made yourself as there’s no AI allowed in this jam. You won’t be disqualified or anything as long as you change it, since I understand thumbnails are a bit of a gray area ^^

Choice of music remind me of Friday Night Funkin – fits your style super well! Level design is good, challenging and fun! I was surprised by how clean the results and level selection UI is, animations are amazing and the receipt thing is very creative.

Unfortunate you ran out of time, I would definitely play more of this game in the future.

Can I ask what you used to create this new thumbnail? I don’t want to sound accusatory, but it does seem a little bit like AI still. I hope I can be proven wrong :)

also these profile pictures are AMAZING

This is a really impressive game! The art style is so unique and the game feels super smooth. Particle effects were awesome on the pig slaughtering and end cutscene! Level design is challenging and well thought out.

My only feedback is that it wasn’t super clear that you’re able to walk on top of the lock tile which made level 6 difficult to beat, and I think in level 9 I was able to pass through one of the background tiles. I also think there could have been different background tracks based on if you’re in the tutorial, levels, and end scene.

Stellar job!! :)

Please make a thumbnail yourself before voting period ends! Won’t disqualify as long as the stuff in your game isn’t made by AI

got a run to 233k!!

The artwork is adorable and really well done! I like these kinds of games, it’s nice to get to know all the different animals on the farm :)

I have two points of feedback for polishing: movement speed is too slow (as you guys probably know by now), and text size is too small for the text box UI.

Amazing job guys!! ^^

Holy cow (or pig?!) the art is spectacular, and the game is just challenging enough to keep me hooked but not frustrated!! I really really enjoyed this game, the concept might not sound very thrilling at first but it was executed so well that it made for an incredibly fun game. I love the main character and the tax van is super cool. Main music and game over music fits great :)

My only feedback would be that the game itself isn’t very intuitive (didn’t figure out what the buttons up top did until way later) though most instructions are in the game page’s description.

Got to about 96k…need to play more to get to 100k…

Cute game and great implementation of theme! Shooting the bats while dodging them is challenging and fun. Though, I don’t know if this is just on my end, but my player is spawning outside of the house(?) and I’m unable to get in. I agree that background music would make it more exciting!

Only after the jam, the only edits allowed during the rating period are if there’s a bug that makes your game entirely unplayable

Wow, I loved this game!! The story telling was fantastic and omg I ADORED the hand drawn cut scenes. The actions like knocking over the plant and eating food each day, make the game feel much more realistic and whole. The sounds were nicely implemented – I especially liked the oinks of the other pigs in the farm and how the music disappears when you’re about to be cooked. Caption is rly funny. Again, story was amazing!

For feedback, I think that some of the camera changes could be better oriented like maybe looking head-on at the frog, zoomed in, instead of the camera cutting to the position that’s above the frog.

It also might be better if the narrator’s speech boxes were consistently in the same place rather than being on the upper half of the screen on the black scenes and on the lower half for others (eg the last scene). Neither of these suggestions are very important just including in case you want to polish in the future :)

This game is incredible!! UI and audio design was done in a very clean and well fitting style, particle effects and enemy animations were insane, and choice of shader was a great touch. I can tell there was a lot of detail and thought put into each part of this game, it feels really polished.

As the other commenters say, after room 10 it does feel a little repetitive (I like the suggestion of being able to get new effects on your sword or something as you advance) – but I think that’s to be expected considering it was a 2 week jam. Maybe it would be helpful to include specific stat points on the upgrade cards if you decide to continue working on th egame?

Amazing work!! :DD

i love these graphics!!

sorry, by real life politics I meant that politics itself is a fine concept but the game shouldn't reference any real names/people. let me know if you need further clarification :)

Hi, good question! When we say "appropriate for all ages" we mean moreso no sexually explicit games. Horror is fine, but if there's extreme violence or gore it should be clearly stated aon your game page.  And I'm going to say no to controversial topics like real life politics.
