You captured the tension really well :o The atmosphere feels strong. It was a brief but memorable experience. Great job!
Thank you so much for playing my game!
Great atmosphere and visuals! I couldnt get the first puzzle on my first try (as in i found the number but didnt know what to do with it!) so had to look up a few comments. But then got it unlocked. The horror elements are definitely there and I had a couple of jumpscares. Adding some very subtle background score would go a long way in adding to the creepy vibe i think.
Overall it has the foundations for a really good horror game and you have nailed the artstyle, well done :)
Thank you so much for playing my game! The puzzles were a bit unclear so thats on me. And thank you for the recomendation, Ill def add that post game jam. Thank you!
Actually i found it refreshing that you are just thrown into a room and asked to figure stuff out. Given the setting of this game, i dont think an explicit tutorial would go that well, but you could think of something like hints written on the wall - given that this is a mental asylum (is that right?) it could be random notes written by patients on the walls which dont really make sense haha
Nice horror game
I really enjoyed my play through of your game, the atmosphere is palpable and the horror elements were well-designed. Immediately, the visuals are striking. The varied textures of every model, reflective lighting in the tiles, scuffed/chipped floor tiles, etc. It all comes together in a truly impressive package and sets the eerie vibe right away. I thought you got the lighting absolutely spot on, in particular. There's a lot of good environmental story telling (cots strewn about, pad lock on the door, etc) and a very refreshing lack of unnecessary narration that, in combination, give the player the chance to fill in the Who/What/Why questions themselves. This works especially well in this type of horror game imo.
The actual gameplay itself is a bit lackluster, and the initial charm of exploring the room wears off somewhat quickly as there is nothing to interact with beyond the locked door. Adding some other interactable props like a radio, notes in a side table, a diary left on one of the cots, etc would help improve this I think. Also, interactions need some kind of mouse cursor sprite. It doesn't have to be a huge icon in the middle of the screen, even a small white dot that changes to a white crosshairs or something when hovering over an interactable would work. In addition the players view kind of snaps around in a jittery way when looking around (instead of smoothing lerping between positions) and in combination with the lack of mouse cursor it can be very frustrating to use. The muffled footsteps are a great touch but the game desperately needs some more sounds to keep building on the awesome atmosphere you already have. A flashlight click, padlock sound, blood dripping down the windows, slenderman spawn, etc would be much welcomed additions.
I really liked the small detail of having the camera tilt slightly when the player moved sideways, it was an awesome little detail that made everything feel just a little bit off and added very well to the overall unsettling vibe. The ending of the game was really cool too. The "look behind you" blood appearing on the windows, appearance of the massive silent slenderman figure in the back, the cut to a close up of his face with black and white static background when you go near him; it all worked very well to create a fun and genuinely spooky moment. The whole jam game feels like the perfect introduction puzzle/scene to a larger game and I think has potential if you decided to pursue it. Overall, the visuals and lighting are on point, the overall ambiance is very well-executed, and there are some unique and unexpected moments at the end. More sfx and some minor quality of life changes would take this to the next level. Very cool entry, and keep up the good work!!
Thank you so much for playing my game! I also wanna thank you for this super detailed feedback, I appreciate it alot. All the critiques you mentioned: lack of sfx, more interactables, and the ui design are definelty points of improvements I plan to work on post game jam so thanks for pointing that out!
I've played your game for a bit and got too scared lol
Not my type of games, but I mean, it worked. The mood is definitely done right. My only complain is that footstep sound is kinda annoying
Thank you for playing my game! Im glad you got scared hehe. Ill def try to find a better footstep sound thank you for informing
Maybe I missed something, but I couldn't figure out the first puzzle. I found two numbers but couldn't find a third. But that's probably a personal failing, not the game.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The environment and the sound design were a good fit for each other.
The mouse sensitivity was a bit high for my liking and it would be nice to be able to tell exactly where the player is looking instead of a vague "middle of the screen".
Great work!
Thank you for playing my game! And no don't worry it was a game design error. I kept the third number on the floor (it was a three if you're willing to give it a shot again)
I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and I wish I could've included changeable mouse sensitivity in the time. And next time I'll keep in mind to add a crosshair.
the puzzles were interesting and the tall figures who chase you really made me tense up every time, especially when i moved so closed to one to pass it. the character tilting to the sides was a nice touch, well done on that. honestly i had a hard time on the second puzzle but nothing that brute forcing it couldn't help with. in my opinion the theme could have been more integrated in the game and maybe some more sound effects but other then that a solid entry well done :)
Thank you so much for playing my game! I will keep in mind the points of improvements. I know the second puzzle might have been too vague and I apologize for that T_T. But I'm glad you enjoyed.

I really would love to review your game. Are you able to do a web-export by chance?
I can yes! But where do I upload the web export? Because form my understanding I can't upload any further files during the game jam
Mhm... maybe ask goedware. Maybe you can just make it a new project ?
Alr I'll make it a new project so if people wanna play the web build they can
Tell me if its ready, I will comment and rate then! :D Thank you!!
The atmosphere of the game is disturbingly scary. You did a great job with the environment, especially the lighting, the roomâs composition, and the texture of the objects. In a way, it even reminded me of some titles like Outlast, probably because of the feeling of helplessness it conveys.
The gameâs main concept reminded me of the Backrooms, mainly because of the hostile creature (Slenderman?) that appeared right behind me when I tried a number combination on the lock.
The roomâs puzzle is quite interesting, but the way itâs laid out makes it seem like all the clues are on the walls. Thanks to the gameplay footage, I was able to figure out the correct order and finally reach the ending (I assume we die in every outcome, right?).
While playing, the only thing that broke the immersion a little was the mouse sensitivity. In a horror game like yours, itâs essential for it to be smooth or even subtly slow, depending on the pacing you want. In the current version, whenever I touched the mouse, the screen moved abruptly and very quickly.
The game is short, but it has a very strong concept. You managed to explore horror really well, especially for something made in just 20 hours. Congratulations on your effort—you did a great job. I wish you success as a developer and good luck in the jam!
Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm glad you enjoyed. Yep it was a game design mistake for me to place a number on the floor T_T. And the you aren't supposed to always die it's just the gameplay the person uploaded died cause they tried reading the poem and the monster spawned on them. There is a second puzzle in that room too (ring three bells in the right order), however I didn't realize I should place the poem somewhere else so the monster doesn't spawn kill you.
Game Review Spoilers
I wouldnât survive in horror scenarios. The first thing I do is look back and see my man Slenderman. I ran up to him and hugged him đ . The atmosphere was spooky, and the sound design was really well done. I saw the two numbers on the wall, but it never occurred to me to look at the floorâthe gameplay video helped me with that.
Nice submission JustSomePikachu!
Thank you so much for playing my game! Ill try to make it more clear next time on the code
