I want a fanta

holy wow that was fun, also sparked my eyes, seeing it was made in godot, which i am in the process of learning, bravo!

97% accuracy. Awesome game & great presentation. The main theme is lovely, it reminds me of the Maple Story OST haha.

Cannot imagine how you can make something so polished within the jam window lol

This might be the most creative game I've ever seen submitted to a Touhou jam. Fantastic job.

Really amazing game. It's pretty simple but so aesthetically pleasing. My only wish is that it were a little harder since the levels themselves are basically just binary counting and the bullet hell patterns would be too slow to reach me before i finished pages.

This is an extremely aesthetically pleasing experience. Maybe more could have been done to make it more into a game (like some scoring system or time trial), but that might be beside the point. Great job!

Incredible all around!

The Windows "Shanghai v1.1.zip (post jam)" build seems to be broken, it puts me on "v1 - sample" before the tutorial. After completing the tutorial, it instantly sent me to the end slide. The v1.0 works fine though.

thanks for the heads-up, this should be fixed now

Cannot butcher the music. This is not tailor-made to my tastes. Literally unplayable.
(it's good)

Now this is something special. Already predicting this is the concept winner. Presentation is off the charts and it’s just so damn charming. Wonderful job!

This was really adorable! Extremely cute artstyle and very chill despite the constant barrages of bullets. Also a fun way to see if I remember which song was which.

This was a very cute game and also really fun to play! Super chill and awesome music and I really loved the art style. Also it seems like the credits or whatever appears at the end seemed to be broken for me, could be worth giving that a look. Awesome work! One of my favorites.

Ah, that’s strange , did you play on Windows or Linux ? This issue should have been fixed before release, but maybe one of the builds is outdated.

Edit: Found out that it was the windows build, which was in fact, not the 1.0 version. Thanks for playing!

Shanghai is so cute ! Also, nice tutorial. Everything is well-made and thought out. I don’t know how you did to fit all that amount of work in 3 days, with all the animations being polished, and with a fair amount of levels. Congrats !

This game is incredible! The art style and calming music strangely reminds me of Animal Crossing City Folk. It's fun hearing tunes I recognize. The pixel art is stunning, I feel the care that went in. A tutorial?? Like a GOOD tutorial? for a JAM game??? I love the little touches, too, like the grid system for when you jump, go to stab, and you get "snapped" to the grid so that it's obvious which tile you are hitting. Even with having to avoid a few bullets, this game is so relaxing.

I noticed it seems you can immediately stab again after getting a successful stab, this may open up some opportunites for speedrunning :) Although how feasible that is, I guess, would depend on whether the songs/maps are randomized.

Anyway, my final thoughts: I can't believe this is a game jam game. My only suggestion, the notes that play when you stab could harmonize with the background music... That would probably take a ton of work though. The polish is unreal and I hope it grows immensely in popularity! I'm going to go finish playing now :)

Edit: As I play more, one other thing I think might help with play-ability/accessibility, make the tile you are currently standing on/over top of highlight a slightly different shade, this would give a subconscious sense that you know exactly which tile you are targeting instead of feeling like you are taking a guess.
