The rewinding minigame took some effort to figure out but it was VERY cool and well-made!!! That was definitely my favorite part of the game. Unfortunately it takes so much time to rewind one video while I also have to handle customers' requests, but I'd rather just rewind videos all day lol...

I like the concept, but I didn't understand the rewinding mini-game - and the green spot was very hard to get right. The grafic-style and nostalgia was very nice. And the music and SFX also. I think, it can be a great game :)

Very nice concept, we loved it ๐Ÿ’–
Also love the graphics ๐ŸŒˆ
There was maybe a little bit too much VHS to rewind at the beginning for us, because it felt strange to not have already some VHS to rent.
Good job โœจ

It was weirdly meditative to rewind the tapes.
Figuring out how to work the machine right was a good feeling!

The game is very polished for a 3 day game jam!

I actually understood pretty quickly how to rewind (easily) the tapes but more ingame indications of what changing channels and the tuner are doing wouldve been a great addition. I enjoyed the small screen when the tape is rewinding :>

Big up to the SFX and the BGMs which contribute to the retro vibes!

Something else I would like to add, I think capping the shelves to less than 36 per genre and not having a hundred of movies to rewind at once at the beginning of the game wouldve been a nicer start and not so overwhelming x)

Maybe start low with 10-ish movies per genre then allow the player to upgrade their shelves so they can have more space, and buy more movie tapes later to enrich your catalogue

Overall, still a very nice game good job!

Nice artwork and sound. I had trouble with the rewinding, and once I figured it out, the little green bar marking where to press space vanished, unfortunately.

Definitely a cool little Video store game / sim.  Rewinding tapes done through a great little  toy / machine

Fun game. The rewinding tapes was interesting and new to me. I never had enough catalog to give that one customer the 5 movies she wanted.

Amazing presentation. I love all of the pixel art movie posters!

To be honest I didn't play for all that long. I rewound maybe 10 tapes to build up some stock but then waited for customers for awhile. I think the tuning mechanic was really cool, but definitely tedious like others have said. Felt like it slowed down the management sim aspect of the game. Still, a remarkable amount of content and effort for a 3-day jam!

I got kinda sucked into it! It took a while to figure out the vhs rewind and it seems to take a while to  inventory built up. I would love to see what this looks like after a quick update!

Feels incredibly polished and a tons of content for just 3 days. That's seriously amazing.

I love all the art and the overall visuals of the game. The music is also very chill and the sfx are simple but fun.

I found the main gimmick of the game to be quite slow and tedious however. It takes a lot of time doing the same thing over and over again. And there's just so much titles in the game it feels really daunting. But it was fun to flip through the catalog and see the "fake names" haha.

Overall it was awesome to see this much content and polish in a jam, but definitely love to see better improvements in the minigame.

I genuinely would play this more! I love the management sim and the tape rewinding mini-game. It was a bit confusing at first what needed to be done and a bit overwhelming, but it was great once I got the hang of things.

The pixel art and audio are great. I found the rewind mechanic pretty tedious & unclear; the first time I entered the backroom and saw the number of tapes to rewind, I got a bit anxious :) It feels to me like there's too much work to do upfront, before serving any customer. It could be improved by spawning some titles on the shelves at the beginning of the game.

The rewind mechanic itself doesn't provide sufficient feedback to understand if I'm doing it right or not. I suppose the 4 green LEDs to the right were supposed to be used for that? In any case, it took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to rewind tapes. The one thing I would change about it: if setting the right number & tuning the dial correctly, it should take only one "ticket hit" to succeed.

Good effort overall!

This is a really cool concept. I didn't find the rewind engaging enough to want to do it for so long. Stocking the shelves takes a very long time. I think the store front needed a form of progression beyond reviews, it feels pretty pointless. Impressive amount of work for the time frame for sure.

I love the tuning gimmick. The pixel art itself is also really good here!
